> Remington UMC pistols are some of the rarest WWII era 1911s made
Remington-UMC didn’t make 1911s in the world war 2 era.
> If it’s a regular Remington and not a Remington UMC …
Remington-UMC is “regular” Remington.

It doesn't appear to have the original finish, so that would hurt the collector value severely.
You need more close up pics. You also need to disassemble and get the barrel markings (as those are commonly replaced).
If all original, but refinished, probably $2000-3000.
Can you share all the markings on the barrel? I see a few small parts are not original to UMC. Slide stop, thumb safety, hammer, grip safety, and bluing is mostly gone.
$2000 is a good estimate on value. If the parts were all original, it would go much higher in value.
At least two in the bush.
Like $2000?
Yes. Remington UMC is a very rare m1911, more so than Colt or Springfield. $2000 is likely the bottom of the estimate.
Wow! Nice! So you would take this over a colt in similar condition and age?
Absolutely. Colt m1911s are by far the most common of the three makers during WWI.
I have an Argentine Systema Colt I picked up for $500. I love strange/unique 1911s
Also have a sistema colt. "marina de guerra" (naval model). Parkerized.
Yessir. And for the love of JMB, please don't try to clean it up.

The only answer.
That is a 1911A1 grip safety.
Woa, where can I get the correct vision?
Start watching gunbroker, the 1911 forums, r/milsurp.
Priceless
I would recommend posting on r/milsurp
Will do, thanks!
More pictures the better 👌🏻👌🏻
Remington UMC cir. 1917, appears to be all original, in good condition. 2k+ EDIT: cir. 1917 assuming I'm making out the serial correctly.
