the movie itself (Donkey Xote) wasn't I assure you. also it's kind of low-key transphobic feeling in that attack-helicopter kind of way; the donkey in question is a derogatorily queer-coded character who claims that he's a horse on the inside, not enough there to say it's outright transphobic but it gives that vibe, ngl.
oh yeah also it's a crap bootleg movie made to look like shrek to profit off of that movie's success
That's probably part of it (the whole movie is actually a retelling of don quixote) but the way they put it with the certain gay-coding and the whole "this is who I am" kind of thing really sold it off as making fun of people with differing identities than from birth. then again I always look into things like that 500% more than I should so like
In the military it’s a huge joke that spouses have rank. They don’t. Typically you’ll see officer spouses want to (or demand to) be addressed by their spouses rank. It holds no weight and those spouses are ridiculed to high hell. Certain branches have programs which incorporate the family members into the unit so that they are better cared for and feel like they have a bigger family for help but in no way does that give them any of the same command or status as their sponsor has.

doesn't this qualify as stolen valour? sure they wrote military spouse and not like an actual rank but they're still claiming military service where there was none
I mean technically you're not lying about your engineering experience. They're basically saying "My rocketry engineering experience consists of watching all of star trek" which is technically true
Assume she's looking for work because she got divorced and is no longer a dependa. I'd interview her just to say 'so, can you explain why you were let go from your last job?'
this is reminding me of that bootleg film that advertised being "from the producers who saw shrek"
Ok but that’s genius

I’ve not seen the movie, but is it maybe doing that as a play on Don Quixote, who believed himself to be a knight?

I don't think you're supposed to say negative things about yourself on your CV
Cheating on your spouse isn’t work experience smh
depending on what kind of work, though…
I mean I’m pretty sure it’s an actual thing. You get benefits from it and stuff. But it’s weird to put it in the resume
It's not a rank, though, is it? Where do military spouses stand in the chain of command?
As high as the highest ranked officer they cheated on their husband with
Gonna bag me five stars 😎
They don’t But many go through trainings and classes. And especially if your spouse dies in combat you get a ceremonial title I believe

i would
And it's probably "in case your husband dies"-money.
Friends with a really smart dude
Just because it's a thing doesn't mean it's a job or accomplishment
It is an actual thing, i have family members that get benefits from it. But yes, it is weird to put it in a resume
Especially on a pretty blank looking second page of a resume.

I don't think it counts as deception if you apply to NASA and cite "I watched all episodes of Star trek" as work experience.
i think it would if you titled the section "rocketry engineering experience"
I mean technically you're not lying about your engineering experience. They're basically saying "My rocketry engineering experience consists of watching all of star trek" which is technically true
truuuueeee
The problem is they'd hire the guy who read all of The Expanse Meanwhile the one who watched Battlestar Galactica doesn't even get a response
somebody tell the polyamorous people
Least military-obsessed American
I remember a video of someone making a scene in a grocery store or a bakery saying they were a military wife

Very cool and swag!

Just remembered gtfo is a thing, haven't seen anyone using it in like 3 years
