trash_eater420

i haven't seen this show so i am taking this as fact and it did happen

Dragon-Warlock

Bluey season finale spoilers, where they teach kids the horrors of war.

ItsMeKali

This is a The Last of Us reference, so zombie apocalypse

Amaranthine7

The Last of Bluey.

Turbulent_Ad1644

This is a reference to that one scene from the intro of Last of Us huh? That scene always makes me cry

Marranit0s

Its a reference to the newest Pokémon game

Barry_Bone_Raiser

Your starter pokemon bleeds to death in front of you

knucklesthedead

"But sir, there are 2 puppies." "..." "Yes, sir."

tacaity

:( How dare you

brest-litovsk18

Animation is finally cinema

DogWoofWoof22

Is this supposed to reference the start of The last of us?

ModernKnight1453

Damn you know the original Last of Us scene was so well done when it's had basically zero references to it (that I've seen) and I haven't played the game in a decade yet I recognized this instantly. Masterpiece game.

My_Body_Is_Bready

Bandit gets too close to Pine Gap

Large_Man_Joe

fallout 2 rule

peanutist

Does this actually happen in the show (I may be stupid)

Ronisoni14

it's a reference to the scene from The Last of Us where ||Joel's (the protagonist) daughter gets shot by the soldier (the soldier was ordered to shoot everyone trying to escape the city because of the zombie apocalypse happening inside). No this isn't a spoiler it happens within the first 5 minutes of the game.||

peanutist

Damn I literally watched the first episode of that series how did I not remember it 😭😭

Keesual

totally pointless internet argument: you can still spoil something even if its in the first 5 min of the game. the tragedy of that scene hits much harder if you haven’t been spoiled. by spoiling it it does take away from the impact imo. so yeah, even though it has been massively spoiled already, its still a spoiler. (this isnt a discussion about how long a piece of media can exist before spoilers can be discussed. i dont think there is any issue with talking about this scene. this was more in reply to their last sentence where spoiling things in the beginning of the game aren’t seen as spoilers)

Ronisoni14

you know what, sure, I'll mark it as a spoiler just in case edit: didn't work for some reason

AtotheCtotheG

Spoiler marking is \>!    !<

Keesual

i mean, you dont have to, i was more just starting a random discussion about your last sentence lol

IamMrJay

Using wrong spoiler markings, lmao

splashtext

You've had since 2013 to know that joels daughter dies Please dont cry about spoilers for something more than 10 years old just dont look at it and move on Totally pointless Internet argument Edit: "This discussion wasn’t about the last of us necessarily. I already understand that with old media people wont care about spoilers." Told you this was pointless, if you understand that you dont need to mald and argue with me for saying who cares about an old spoiler

melonsnek_evildoer05

TIL that all the media older than 5 years old is downloaded directly into your brain

Keesual

i already explained that in the comment homie. this was about spoiling something that happens at the start of a piece of media, not necessarily about the last of us (edit: i do recognize that with my last sentence of my first paragraph i kinda muddied my point, so i added an addendum)

splashtext

My comment still stands Its understandable to have your opinion about spoilers in media for NEWER things and if last of us came out 3 or 4 years ago id agree with you Let me spoil the start of romeo and Juliet they fall in love with each other

Keesual

Okay thats fine, but you are missing my point. My intention for my comment was about the idea of being able to spoil something even though it happens at the start of the given media. Not how long one should wait before spoilers are okay.

splashtext

No i understand your point im just giving you reasons why most people wont care about it being spoiled, most people who haven't played it by now either wont or already know what happens And if "spoilers" is something that really bothers you id recommend getting one of those browser extensions that just blurs messages with those keywords in them because people will talk about these type of things all the time

Keesual

This discussion wasn’t about the last of us necessarily. I already understand that with old media people wont care about spoilers.

splashtext

So why are you making a big deal out of old media being spoiled? I thought you understood that most people didn't care anymore Maybe its more about looking right than having an actual point for you since now you're backtracking , thats fine but im still telling you that you should probably get a spoiler blocker if your going to be like this

MorningBreathTF

Either you get their point and youre going after a new, separate point, or you don't get their point and think what youre saying is their point

SuitableAssociation6

as someone who recently started watching star wars for the first time all of these spoilers for old media piss me off, the age of a piece of media doesn't make spoilers for it okay, it isn't that hard to just use the spoiler feature included in most social media apps or keep the discussion to circles that have seen it before

Large_Television4690

i need to actually play the last of us i played it for like an hour then dropped it
