She knows that I play it, and she has enjoyed watching the show with me. She is learning about the game by watching the show and asking me questions, but I think she just really likes the personalities and the challenges. We don't watch much TV so I guess there isn't much competition for what her favorite show is hahaha.

there are several people in my friend group that just play destiny2 and CoD that never even heard of Runescape brought up GG in our group chat and nerded out about last week's episode. It 100% happens just cuz you don't social skills outside other scapers doesn't mean rest of us don't :P

One of my closest friends quite literally knows nothing about RuneScape but for some reason watched the finale of McTile. My own wife knows virtually nothing about RuneScape and the only time she’s played was killing Jad on my account after seeing Mammals wife do it, yet she watches GG with me every week. It really isn’t that uncommon

The way they (especially Settled) over-explain their videos is for those non-RS masses who basically know next to nothing which is why his videos get so many views. I personally am not a fan of such videos because I don't need to constantly hear basic stuff like how a chicken can drop feathers but it's definitely smart for viewership numbers.
