Real talk, I've sometimes thought that swastika should have it's image cleared up and brought back. It's really shameful how a icon used nearly globally for good intentions for hundreds, if not thousands of years, and got ruined entirely by one regime and is now seen as some of the most heinous hate-symbol. While we shouldn't forget what awful things nazism ended up creating, we shouldn't it ruin icons etc, and by to some extend controlling us.
Hitler himself designed Nazi logo, as he was balls deep into mythology, and sanskirt. Peopel still use swastika as hate symbol, and thats why its hard to clear it up, and it also depends how deep swastika is in folklore. Before Nazis came to power, many were using it as lucky charm, as in many cultures some variants of swastika was luck goddess.
As i understood this book is about folk peoms ? Here Latvian one from 1922.

Snorri Sturluson's [Edda ](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edda)is the most complete collection of Old Norse folklore. He was a Christian monk who tried to gather as many of the old tales as possible. Even though the word "Edda" can be used to refer to any collection of Norse folklore, it usually refers to Snorri's collection.
