Yeah, but to be fair, I would have gotten zero enjoyment had he just decided to google it. But since he did ask here, I'm sitting here cracking up over his hypothetical lyrics.
Thanks for the laugh, OP 🍻
He might have just wanted to engage other 311 fans in conversation and wasn’t necessarily after just the answer when posing the question. A lot of questions are meant to open up larger discussion.
Not sure if this is a joke that's going over my head, but I'll answer lol.
The lyric is "smooth like Reggie Miller in an airborne freeze frame". Reggie Miller was an NBA player who was in his prime at the time.
Reggie Miller, one of the best basketball players on the planet at the time (mid-1990’s). The slight irony is he actually was notorious for having a somewhat awkward shooting style (although extremely effective…one of the best shooters who ever loved) where his hands crossed after he released the ball and therefore the spin on his shot was tilted sideways (a “pure” jump shot has backspin). Awkward or not, it worked.
It's "Smooth like Reggie Miller in an airborne freeze frame" He's referring to the basketball player. He made some cool looking jump shots.
Oh god damnit that makes sense lol Yeah I know the basketball player but was wondering why he cared about him being at an airport
/misheardlyrics
I'd be willing to bet Reggie Miller is smooth AF in airport breezeways as well.
You know whats easier than making a social media post? Googling a song's lyrics first.. heh

You know the internet wasn’t really around when I first thought of it
The kid is smart. The kid is clever.
That's actually a really fair point.
You know what’s easier than commenting?
yo momma?
He had a weird follow through. Arms got all twisted up.
Reggie Miller probably also looks pretty fucking rad in an airport breezeway, to be fair. 😉
Exactly that dude is fly

lol, OP made it sound like an Anthony keidis lyric
Not enough "shama-lama-dama"s and "yabba-dabba-doo"s to be an Anthony Kiedis lyric.
You're thinking of Weird Al's Bedrock Anthem lol
This is the way…
Haha. Well I’ll be damned I always thought it was airport breezeway too! Airborne freeze frame makes way more sense.
Glad I’m not alone
Thought it was airport breezeway too
I never know what the hell SA is talking about in any song tbh
That's part of the fun, haha. He is an abstract poet, no doubt.
Very true
TIL. I think I like “airport breezeway” better 😂
#31 for Pacers. He was fucking sweet.
When i first listened to it I thought he said “in his Air Force threes”… lol
I always fuck up lyrics too! So I can relate to this post

It's like in Jackpot "Sweatin' full stage, the stains in my armpit"
Passes it to the man...
Wholesome misheard lyrics are awesome
Reggie Miller was at my work recently, at the airport. Should have taken him to the breezeway.
Wow this was your chance
Remember thinking he’d dropped an N bomb in the song “Hive” for a hot sec
i literally thought it referenced his creamy smooth complexion. he LOOKS smooth lol.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 Thank you for that! I will keep that image in my head forever.
😂😂😂😂
