that was the issue. the airflow from under the car was getting pulled in by the lower corners of the bumper, leaving a huge low pressure zone directly behind the car. that's why dirt gets stuck to the hatch lid.
the NISMO bumper fences off the corners and the center section is cut much, much higher to help accelerate that flow to nearly the same speed as the car, and it has much less pressure drag as a result.
The veilside for the new Z is $20,000.00, it's similar to the orange NSX is Tokyo drift. I had no idea a body kit could be that extensive. It's fuckin awesome though.

I’m loving the rear fender covers. You know much those normally go for right now? Have you seen the little front fender lip add-ons before too?
front fender lips are very rare and very expensive. the covers are still available
