My job is also very dirty but I get away by wearing my durag under my hard hat and welding hood at all times. Usually wearing something that covers the durag too (such as a ski mask or welding cap) but it helps keep my hair way more clean during the week. I can get away with only washing on Fridays whereas if I wasn’t wearing a durag it’d be 2-3 times a week like you.

Can you wear hats ? If so throw a a silky on and tuck it under that, or get some wave caps on rotate/clean them. That way you keep your shit protected and you can spin better
You can definitely get waves with curls it’s just a lot more work brushing and you have to wolf but make sure your brushing a lot everyday consistently or when you cut it they gonna be gone slow comment too there’s literally straight hair waivers that are spinning
his hair looks like it still has some length, i get he just started it, but his hair ain’t coarse enough for good waves, bros gonna get em, just not tight ones.
I get what you saying but my waves didn’t really start coming in till my hair got longer cause it’s more straight when it’s short and I’m lazy ash on brushing so why discourage bro he can definitely still get them and get nice waves to they just won’t be the same as people with course hair

You need to have a strong grooming routine. Make sure to brush and maybe add in skin car or shaving so you have a regimen that works for you.
Dont listen to people who say waves are for black people. Waves are curls laid down, keeping it laid is the main goal.
Tools: Wave cap, Stocking cap, Durag, Hard brush, Medium brush, Soft brush.
Get you a Torino pro brush that comes with a point and curves. Satin and polyester due rags. Since you got curly hair not too much on the wave greases and texturizers but still apply then to enhance the waves. With your texture you can get 360s pretty fast. Just keep a du rag on you at all times. Even at work
Watch some 360 woods straight hair waver guides he has curly hair but that’s what helped me when I started and you should probably wolf so yo hair can curl up more but keep brushing so you have waves under the ones at the top
Real talk you'll get better progress from the comb.... When you get out the shower.brush until your hair is dry... Then add your products of choice... Not to much.... Then comb until dry and wrap up.... Try that you might see better results with the comb....
