Stress-relieved annealed machined aluminum plate would be my choice. But then again, i work with stuff like that every day 🤷🏼‍♂️ Anyways. Machined is better that cast, and stress-relieved annealed is even better, it probably wont warp even at higher temperatures. If you can, get the plate on a thicker side. Like 5mm thick instead of three.

This. I also work with this stuff and was planning to build my own 3d printer. My best choice would be a 5mm Fibral 5083 based on what our supplier have, which is basically a Peraluman 5083 sheet which you buy already machined flat and to the correct thickness

I’m going to try to source the material locally Any idea on the screw sizes to secure the heater into the bed? Also the shape? I’m really looking for a diagram to explain how I want it

I don't know how the k1 bed is made and what parts you want to reuse. In my project I wanted to use 220v silicon heater pads that could be simply taped to the back of the bed. However since I've never built it I cannot say if it was a good solution

Yeah that’s the idea, something thick that won’t warp as easily, my main goal out of this is to get as flat of a bad as possible, I already ordered 2 extra stepper motors for my K1, and I’m thinking of replacing the rods cause I don’t trust how flat they are from the factory
