They'd give themselves away one way or another... It'd definitely be fitting, though, eating their trays of slop wearing their county-issued recycled underwear...
Yes. I was thinking they should put judges and prosecutors in to see what it’s like before they send people in for dumb reasons that might not deserve jail. Some people in jail are for the smallest reasons I think it might show the judges some good insight for sentencing reasons
Would 100% be more productive and make for better TV. Imagine a sheriff trying to run for reelection after tapping out in intake or having a meltdown over someone not accepting his Doritos lol
So let's take Quinton and MonaLisa from season 1. She hated authority, and he knew authority was right going in. When they came out they switched positions. He thought the COs were so wrong, and she had a new found appreciation for the officers. But, they have officers every season don't they? I really like the everyday person view. Anybody can watch what's going on, but somebody who has a paradigm view is more interesting to me.
To be fair, all of those participants had cause for concern with that first jail after what turned up years later with the sheriff.
The damn guy was using funds from the local fire department and other state agencies to fund his personal life.
He was giving people overtime for doing personal work for him.
He had people signed up to be eligible for a retirement pension that didn't qualify.
It would be safe to assume that at least 60% of all funds that were directed toward the sheriff's department, didn't actually make it to the sheriff's department / jail.
He was expecting his jail to get better and his COs to be professional, yet he was doing all his crap on the side.
His own damn partner who was on the show with him is the one that opened an investigation and turned him over.
Noel could have very well got away with it, except for the fact that when Scottie Maples became the new sheriff, he found a damn wire tap inside the sheriff's office, and ordered it to be investigated when he first took office.
There's a post from about 6 months ago from a guy who made a mini documentary covering everything from arrest through sentencing. It's pretty interesting. It's apparent that most deputies, other laws enforcement, court employees etc despise him. It's worth the watch but it's pretty long. He also became friends with most of the mainstream media covering hearings.
I'm 100% for that!

Idk, after the last two I’d be afraid they would get outed immediately.
this would be so satisfying
Ooh wonderful idea!!
I'd love to see a Sherriff tap out early. I'm down for this. Make it happen A&E
Closest participants have been correctional officers and police officers. Makes sense to have sheriff participants eventually.
Sheriffs are local public figures that a ton of inmates would recognize
Pull them in from other states.
I’m so dumb lol; that makes a lot of sense. 😅
You’re definitely not dumb!!

Most of them would stick out like a sore thumb. They would be discovered asap
that’s a really good idea
That would be an awesome way for the Sheriffs to see how it really is.

Omg that's crazy and super intriguing
