Cool! What’s your Mom making for dinner?

classicrock40

Hamburger helper, maybe the cheesy one if we're lucky.

batwing71

Aw hell yeah!

nostalgiast99

Hamburger helper for the win

nostalgiast99

Not sure, want some?

batwing71

If we get to keep playing GI Joes!

nostalgiast99

Anything for the almighty batwing

Ok_Feature_9772

Shake and Bake and I helped.

batwing71

Ohhh! You get extra pie!

Adventure_tom

Nice Mobile Support Vehicle. I have one on the top shelf in my office.

nostalgiast99

That’s awesome! The mobile support vehicles were always one of the coolest lol

Ill-Forever880

Does the motor that turns the roof radar dish still work?

nostalgiast99

Haven’t tried that yet! Based off of other pieces missing and overall condition I’d have to assume it doesn’t lol

Bad_Daddio

G. I. Joe was a huge part of my early childhood in the 70s. This sure brings back a lot of memories because I had all of this back then.

nostalgiast99

Glad it brought back some memories for you!

Stainsey11

AT II! I had one.

nostalgiast99

The adventure team sets are the best!

zzcheeseballzz

I had the Devil of the Deep set.

nostalgiast99

One of my favorites

neverinamillionyr

I had the radio station. This is cool stuff

nostalgiast99

They don’t make em like they used to that’s for sure! It’s cool to still come by stuff like this

Markaes4

I was just a bit too young for the 12" joes... but I was given a lot of stuff from my neighbors like the mobile support vehicle. I remember playing "Damnation Alley" with it and my star wars figs. That was half the fun of toys back then-- took a lot more imagination.

nostalgiast99

Those are some good neighbors right there! Definitely took a lot more imagination, that’s what made it all even more special 🙌

[deleted]

Where is a naked GI Joe. You have to get him in his winter uniform. I wrote my name on my brother’s GI Joe box and I got my ass kicked. I was 7. Oh and we found the box resently at our mother’s house and he started arguing with me again about it after 40+ years.

Orbit86

That’s pretty awesome

nostalgiast99

Thanks! They don’t make em like they used to.

Unlikely-Look676

Nice finds there!

nostalgiast99

For sure! I was excited lol

portablebiscuit

Did they know what they had? On one hand it’s great to find treasures like this, but on the other it’s always sad to see people’s childhoods going dirt cheap.

nostalgiast99

It was a company that managed the estate sale. They usually don’t tell you the circumstances but most likely it was someone who passed away and the company manages the pricing.

Soreal45

Im jealous of anyone that got to play with any GI Joe gear as I was too poor at that age.

rickztoyz

Looks like you got some parts to the big training tower. Big box, probraly was full of Adventure team GI Joes you missed.

nostalgiast99

Yup those are the training center parts I looked they didn’t have the rest of them. They did have a couple other smaller adventure team sets too.

jfdonohoe

I was just looking online at the Peter Pan Book & Record sets for adventure team GI Joe. I was just old enough to get the 11” joes and then just young enough to still be interested in the real American hero reboot in the 80s. Magical.

nostalgiast99

Hahah magical indeed!

destragar

I might have passed out if I came we across this gi Joe lot.

Compressorman

Wow!

Lonely-Connection-37

Wish I had a few of those. We pretty much set them on fire and shot them with our pellet rifles or blow them up with fireworks.

nostalgiast99

Well, as long as you had fun 😂

SilentMaster

That big yellow van has the Appalachian Trail's logo on it. Is that an official AT toy or is that just a sticker?

nostalgiast99

That is an official AT toy and the adventure team logo!

SilentMaster

Wow, I had no idea the AT had merch beyond stickers and patches. That's super fun.

nostalgiast99

O yes, they have a whole line of AT toys and sets released mostly in the 70s

SilentMaster

Love it, might have to try to snag one of those. I've been hiking the trail the last 10 years. Would be cool to have a keepsake beyond the patches I buy at every resupply stop we make.

nostalgiast99

Definitely look into buying some! They’re great memories and shelf pieces for sure

troytrekker9000

“ I’ve got a tough assignment for you ! “ - GI Joe Commander

Chigmot

Man I had a few of those, including the Submarine. Only two of the action figures left and they have gone floppy with age.

nostalgiast99

They’re pretty awesome for sure!

shortax20

I had the GI Joe w/ the KungFu grip plus the deep sea outfit!

nostalgiast99

That’s awesome! That figure with the kung fu grip was in the Devil of the deep box

shortax20

Ok I guess my parents got me the budget version🤣they did get me the evil knievel with his scramble van outfit, the whole nine!🤣

nostalgiast99

Lmao no I mean that same figure with the kung fu grip was in this box when I bought it, wasn’t originally included! Your parents definitely got you the real deal lol. Bet that van setup was awesome too 🙌

shortax20

Yeeeees I had tons of hours of fun all by myself as a lil black kid in the projects in the 70’s😆

nostalgiast99

Hahah long as you had fun and made good memories that’s what matters !

MaddenMike

WOW!

LumpyheadCarini2001

What are the odds that Axis and Allies has all the game pieces?

nostalgiast99

High odds! 100% complete 🙌

ImpatientMaker

I had that yellow mobile command center thing. I had tons of fun with it. Sold all my gear to my younger cousins and they got a lot of use out of it.

nostalgiast99

They don’t make em like they used to! Glad you could pass it on for others to get some enjoyment out of it 🙌

DrNinnuxx

Old school Appalachian Trail badge on that vehicle.

Elmondo2

Fighting man from head to toe....

DragYouDownToHell

I liked that support vehicle, but my favorite was a Jeep I got that had a spring loaded rocket launcher on the back.

nostalgiast99

Those were badass

OutrageousStrength91

My parents got me a GI Joe in the 70s. I think they thought it would butch me up. I would take the shirt off and sleep with it.

nostalgiast99

Haha I mean hey to each their own 🤷‍♂️

butnotfuunny

So cool! Thanks for the heart bump.

nostalgiast99

Hope it brought back some fun memories!

skepticalinfla

The 12 inch G.I. Joe represents the peak era in toys.

nostalgiast99

Agreed !

bfbabine

Mobile support vehicle!!!! Got one in 1973. Best toy I ever had.

nostalgiast99

Such a classic!

nostalgiast99

Minus the ghost striker lol
