I close the gate when I leave Jen’s, Joel’s, or Bob’s. I don’t wanna see them get hurt. (Yes, I know they can’t be harmed in vanilla.)
I won’t go out of my way to close Rekt’s gates, but I will make the attempt as I sprint by.
But Hugh? I will always leave Hugh’s gates open, if only for the small hope that just maybe he’ll get mauled by a bear or a lumberjack or a cougar. It’s the principle of the thing. Fuck that guy.

if anyone gets this issue to fix it enable console (google it) then type "dm" to enable debug mode then Q default to noclip, C to go down and find your trader in the floor. Hold E on the trader and press the X that pops up from a radial debug menu then exit+return the POI and your trader is fixed.
