Man, to me it’s a sunny day album. Drink away the pain, trife life, give up the goods… I remember rolling up so many joints to those songs getting blazed on sunny days with my friends in the summer
Confusing since this album came out in April, but it’s a winter album all the way. Being from NYC, this album sounds exactly like walking through the grimy streets of Queens on a cold winter night.
But it also sounds like summer in NYC too! Those days when it’s so hot you don’t want to move, fire hydrant cracked, sitting on a stoop or fire escape waiting for night to come.
For me it was a winter album. Winter 95 I bought my first vehicle and I put an Orion amplifier and two 15-in Cerwin Vega strokers in it right away. It was like a rolling ported speaker box. I would play West Coast rap during the summer when the weather carried the bass waves better (and not rattle the hell out of my tailgate) and I would play East Coast hip hop during the cold months because it doesn't have such long basslines.... but that mobb deep album has some wicked ground shaking bass.
It’s funny you asked this because I’ve asked myself the same thing with this album specifically. It’s a Summer album for me but I can see why people say winter.
Summer all the way. If you're old enough and had a chance to hear Eye for an Eye blasting from a car driving by in the spring when this album dropped, then there is no way anyone would consider this a winter album.
Wow. I thought I was the only one who associated this to winter. Or even music to the winter.
Mobb deep and BCC have always just felt like winter and Tim boots to me
I think it can be either, depending on when you've listened to the album most. I bumped this for an entire summer in college, so it feels like a summer album to me. But there's songs on the album that undeniably resemble either season. For example, Shook Ones pt. 2 (winter), and Give Up the Goods (summer)
East Coast albums have more of a winter vibe to me, and West Coast albums have a summer vibe to me. I listen to both year round though, but favor west coast music during warm weather months, and vice versa
If I want to listen to it and feel the dinginess in the stories, I like to play it when it’s cold or winter. But it’s likewise a great head nodding by the fire summer album.
It dropped in the spring. And that spring in ‘95, all you heard was The Infamous everywhere you went in NYC. That was a moment back then!
So it will always be a nice weather album for me because those memories attached to when it dropped were all during spring and summer. It was all about The Infamous and OB4CL, at the time.
Summer r I remember when we got our hands on that album I was the summer of 95 my buddy just got his license and we drove around a played the hell out of it so as soon as I hear that album I am instantly transported back to rolling in my boys bonnevelle
Rain album 110!!! My wife has actually commented, asking "what is this group you put on every time it's raining?" I'm not going to go as far as saying it's rain/winter and anyone who says otherwise is wrong, but something about the production makes me think about it every time the weather is bad.
It's a rainy album
This!!!! Rainy day with a good blunt and that rainy breeze type weather.

Sitting on some crosstown bus, 90s over ear headphones plugged into your CD player
They not knowing! The glorious days...
But it also sounds like summer in NYC too! Those days when it’s so hot you don’t want to move, fire hydrant cracked, sitting on a stoop or fire escape waiting for night to come.
“Push a lex bubble in the winter” definitely paints that picture
I always considered it more of a summer album. Hell on Earth is the winter album.
I'm saying summer all the way. Give up the goods, temperatures rising, just bang in summer.
Trife life and drink away the pain are also sunny day songs to me
It's a winter-time album. It's dark and cold.
For me it was a winter album. Winter 95 I bought my first vehicle and I put an Orion amplifier and two 15-in Cerwin Vega strokers in it right away. It was like a rolling ported speaker box. 98 I put an Orion amp in my whip. Got damn that takes me back
Good amps for the day! I had the xtr2250 it took me 6 months to save up to buy it. It was about 2 ft long lol.
No doubt. I had an Orion cobalt running 2 kicker solo barics in a civic hatchback.the round solo baric not the square. We old.
I haven't even heard that word solobaric in probably 20 years lol damn I forgot about the square ones.
Definitely remember bumping this is the winter time. Felt right. Snow cold days vibe
Drink Away the Pain gives me summer vibes but idk if Id say the whole album
it's a night time do crime album
Late October-mid November, when the shadows are starting to get long and there’s a bit of chill in the air. It’s a dark, lonely, claustrophobic album.
I'n not sure but temperature's Rising.
Dropped in summer, perfect for winter. This with Enta Da Stage & Dah Shinin are my 10 degree snowstorm classics
Definitely winter. I feel like 9/10 new york albums are winter albums
Cold, preferably dark, possibly precipitating
Exactly cold and snowy and quiet outside like it is when its snowing love that feel
It’s funny you asked this because I’ve asked myself the same thing with this album specifically. It’s a Summer album for me but I can see why people say winter.
All season!
Perfect nighttime album. Any season.
All year around album
Right it’s fucking timeless
Foggy day schedules
Summer so you can fight..
Late October - February type album
I was leaning winter for sure, but Drink Away the Pain is definitely a summertime track to me
Winter for sure
Sunny 😎! Particularly songs "Temperature's rising" and "Shook ones"
Summer. It came out in April and we rocked it all summer long along with OB4CL. Fall came and we just kept going.
Good question I'd say winter more of a timberland and triple phat goose vibe
Some of this shit sounds like a hot summer night. Hell on earth is dead winter.
Winter . Same as for wu tang clan and most New York fans back in the day . The dark grimy nihilist lyrics compliment the winter snow .
Summer all the way. If you're old enough and had a chance to hear Eye for an Eye blasting from a car driving by in the spring when this album dropped, then there is no way anyone would consider this a winter album.
Dark sounds for summer
Wow. I thought I was the only one who associated this to winter. Or even music to the winter. Mobb deep and BCC have always just felt like winter and Tim boots to me
I know it's a 'cold' album but it weirldy gives a summer evening vibe to me
Crime increases in the summer and this album has a very criminal vibe to be so I associate it with summer. (Temperatures rising)
I think it can be either, depending on when you've listened to the album most. I bumped this for an entire summer in college, so it feels like a summer album to me. Summer cause i grew up to this album being in a lot of skate vids also
Fall
Clearly a winter album.
Fall album
I say fall type
Nighttime fall
Well shook ones came out in the winter. But this is just a dark winter time album to me.
It sounds and feels like “a cold night in hell”
Winter definitely, along with the Mobb Misses mixtape I always play when it’s getting cold
Cold rain
Fall. Hell on earth they winter album, murda muzik they summer album
All day everyday album
Winter for sure. Survival of the fittest is peak shitty weather music
Winter
100% winter album
Winter all Mobb Deep is winter music. Now the other Havoc and Prodeje ( South Central Cartel) was summer music
Reminds me of Summer because it came out in the Spring and we bumped it all Summer.
Winter fs
WINTER
Round the clock, state pen time. -GZA From summer till Santa comes down the chimney. -Dr Dre
East Coast albums have more of a winter vibe to me, and West Coast albums have a summer vibe to me. I listen to both year round though, but favor west coast music during warm weather months, and vice versa
It always felt more like Summer to me
Winter
Winter
Summers full of quiet storms.
All year round
I’d say winter… but hell I jam whatever whenever, as should everyone else!
no better album to listen to while the rain is pissing down
Winter. I feel like east coast albums always feel more winter, and west coast is summer
It’s good in any season I was just listening to this album. It’s 90 degrees here.
If I want to listen to it and feel the dinginess in the stories, I like to play it when it’s cold or winter. But it’s likewise a great head nodding by the fire summer album.
It’s my favorite album of all time
Winter. A cold dark winter where you’re bout to get took.
It goes hard in all seasons.
I remember it being a summer album but it carried over to the winter.

Fall Winter.. Only Mobb album thats for the summer is Murder muzik

Every weather album - I fux with this 365!
The Quiet Storm baby
Winter. Dark, cold New York streets.

It’s on that grimey cold winter vibe
Summer r I remember when we got our hands on that album I was the summer of 95 my buddy just got his license and we drove around a played the hell out of it so as soon as I hear that album I am instantly transported back to rolling in my boys bonnevelle

Winter Album
It’s definitely a Summer Album for sure 👍 in my opinion
For all seasons
Wtf? 🤣🤣🤣 there’s absolutely nothing summer about that album.
It's an album.
Huh?
