Survival of the fittest and Shook one's pt 2 are equally good, the rest of the album is almost just as good. I wouldn't feel bad rating The Infamous above Illmatic and that album Is like holy scriptures to me.
This. While it was Illmatic for some time (as cliche at that sounds), The Infamous just takes me somewhere with each listen. New York grittiness at its finest.
Illmatic
Lifestylez Ov Da Poor & Dangerous
Me Against The World
Midnight Marauders
Enter the Wu-Tang
Enta Da Stage
Aquemini
Reasonable Doubt
The Low End Theory
Liquid Swords
Mecca & The Soul Brother
The Infamous
I tried to rank albums once and it ended up 12th for 90s but ibr 4th to 12th cab be changed to any orientation and I won't complain
Incredible album, Shoot Ones was ahead of its time.
Trife Life, Drink Away the Pain, Cradle to the Grave are amazing.
I had the cds for this, Illmatic, Big L Lifestyles, and Ready to die
I did forget to add dmx,and probably a couple others. Just mobb deep had that deep east coast sound if that makes sense. I was more into the funk type from the west coast. Nas is still one of my top artist though, and I feel AZ stays underrated. As I'm older I've gotten alot more into rap/hip-hop as a whole. Once the south took over for awhile I got more into everything.
The leap from debut album (Juvenile Hell) to sophomore album (Infamous...) was crazy. I can't think of anybody else who was able to bounce back and improve that much. Of course it doesn't hurt having the tutelage of Q-Tip
To me it’s the top album of the 90s. It’s darker and less palatable than other works from the early a but the atmosphere and production is a benchmark in production.
For the whole decade?? Top 20 easily.
Love it, but a few albums I would not put it over: The Score, Black On Both Sides, Low End Theory, Aquemini, 36 Chambers, OB4CL, The Main Ingredient, Stakes Is High….
Really close to the top.
Whats your favourite song from the album?
Cradle to the grave
Temperatures rising
100%
It’s probably “Shook Ones pt II”, honestly. Not the most interesting answer, I know.
Generic but cant argue one of the best hip hop songs ever.
I was about to say you must be a bot
Survival of the fittest and Shook one's pt 2 are equally good, the rest of the album is almost just as good. I wouldn't feel bad rating The Infamous above Illmatic and that album Is like holy scriptures to me.
Parties over tell the rest of the crew.
ABOVE ILLMATIC?? You're dreamin'.
Give up the goods
Trife Life, Temperature’s Rising runs a VERY CLOSE second.
Still sounds so good. The distillation of rap in its purest form.
My number one of all time.
This. While it was Illmatic for some time (as cliche at that sounds), The Infamous just takes me somewhere with each listen. New York grittiness at its finest.
Top 5

Give Up The Goods 🔥🔥🔥
I don’t really rank albums because it’s impossible if you have listened to hundreds of Hip Hop albums, but The Infamous is pretty much on the top.
impossible to listen to hundreds of hip hop albums? how is that impossible?
Reading comprehension, my dude.
Reading comprehension, my dude.
Hard to say. Between The Infamous, Enter the 36, Southernplay, Illmatic, Criminal Minded, for me.
R2D?
For sure. There are so many good 90s albums.
2nd after Illmatic
Absolutely.
I wouldn't feel bad rating it above illmatic honestly. It's too good and better than illmatic in grime factor.
Fair … 👍🏼3top are lImatic ,36 chambers and this
agreed
Top 10 for sure. During an era of absolute classics this is definitely one. No skippable joints
Top ten rap album of all time
It’s the best. Some come close, especially Illmatic, but this is the one.

Top 10 albums of the 90’s
Top 5 most likely. But definitely to ten
Very high, it’s my gym playlist on repeat as well lol
Up there with Black Moons Enta da Stage. Both of those albums have that stark, bleak New York vibe to them.
Top 10
That album is my number one album all time in Hip Hop Period

Top 5 easily
One of my favorites for sure. It’s still on heavy rotation for me.
Top 10 or 15
Top five absolutely
Not to high. Was more interested in Westcoast. Really only liked Nas and AZ on the east coast
Fair enough I prefer the east coast whats your favourite albums from the west coast?

Best album out of QB….. Yeah i said it 😏
top 10.
Pretty low actually. The top belongs to kool Keith black Elvis. Super galactic lover is basically the pinnacle of rap songs.
3rd after Illmatic and Ready to Die
It gets a LOT of love on here, but isn’t my favorite.
Almost number one no skips at all and survival of the fittest got me thru some of the worst times in my life 💪🏼
Number 2
top 5 maybe top 3
Top 25. SOLID.
No idea.. but I had it on repeat for about a year of my teens
Number one of all time
No skips and I listen to this shit daily. P and Hav really put they hearts into this and you can feel it in every track. Rest In Paradise Prodigy🙏
To 5 for me. It’s a classic
The greatest album of the 90's hands down
The leap from debut album (Juvenile Hell) to sophomore album (Infamous...) was crazy. I can't think of anybody else who was able to bounce back and improve that much. Of course it doesn't hurt having the tutelage of Q-Tip
In the 40s or 50s. Not as high as Hell On Earth. Extremely dope tho.
To me it’s the top album of the 90s. It’s darker and less palatable than other works from the early a but the atmosphere and production is a benchmark in production.
Top 50?
In the top 10 for sure
Top 3 fosho
Probably top ten. Definitely top 15
For the whole decade?? Top 20 easily. Love it, but a few albums I would not put it over: The Score, Black On Both Sides, Low End Theory, Aquemini, 36 Chambers, OB4CL, The Main Ingredient, Stakes Is High….
Top 5 DOA
