Vala is called Vera in Korean version, maybe in Chinese as well. In general it’s probably just not native English speakers trying to assist you in English and being confused by differences in versions.
My one experience with support was fine, the rep had excellent communication skills and looked into/resolved my issue within 20 mins.
Wish they were as efficient for me, it’s been hours
