My first song was probably Bang! back when it first released because my radio station loved it, but I didn’t actively start listening to them till early last year
First song I heard was I’m not famous but didn’t know listen to any of their other songs or even know who sung it I just would listen to it with friends. then I heard bang in 2020 2021? then found bummerland and went back and realized they also played I’m not famous. Now they’re my all time favorite band!
Karma, it was actually from a SU fan animation, SU weirdly enough brought me to AJR, don't quite remember the year but the animation was about the end of future
The first song I actually remember hearing was Netflix Trip. I think it was in late summer of 2020 and for some reason I was watching a deleted David Dobrik vlog even though I've never been a fan of his or even watched any of his vlogs regularly. I think I was just down a YouTuber cancellation rabbit hole and found myself at this video: [https://youtu.be/b65OIXjaJpA](https://youtu.be/b65OIXjaJpA) (It was an earlier upload but I can only find this version.) At the end, the song plays very briefly over the end screen and I really liked it and had to find out what song it was. This was also right around the time where I was at my height of watching *The Office*, so that song was really perfect. That song became my song of the fall in 2020 and I've been a fan of the band ever since.
Since living room
Technically…
I really started listening around The Click’s album drop because I remember checking AJR out and seeing they had a new album out of nowhere
I’ve been listening since around Neotheater released but the first song i heard was I’m Ready in a channel frederator video talking about SpongeBob references.
Technically my first songs were burn the house and weak when I heard them on the radio, but at the time I didn’t know who they were or that the same band sang both songs 😂 My first song when I was introduced to them by my friend was Bud Like You, my friend was learning how to sign it for her ASL class and then I was hooked on their music from there
Since 2016, right when their mini album "what everyone's thinking" came out! I technically heard a couple of songs from the living room when I was younger but I didn't start listening to them until 2016. The first ever one was I'm ready but the one that made me start listening was weak.
I've been listening to them for the past 5-6 years now! My first song I heard from them was 'Weak' over a Overwatch AV someone made that I was obsessed with for months. Lol
I had heard bits and pieces on social media, but didn't know who AJR was. Sober Up started playing one day and I just wanted to listen to it on repeat, then I just went down the rabbit hole. That was just last summer.
I've was casually listening to a few of their songs from time to time for 2 years, but really only in the past year they have been one of my top artists. I think the first song I heard from them was Bang!
I remember listening to 100 Bad Days on loop back in 2019, probably the first song i listened from them (if not, it was Weak, but i didn't knew it was from them until this year).
My first song was Drama because it was a popular song used in the YouTube “intro” community…. You know… the community of “artists” who spin 2d text for other people on the platform that plays at the beginning of their videos… yeah..
first song i heard was the good part back in 2017 when the click came out because my local radio station loved it, i started listening to them in 2020 when bang! blew up.
Since October 2022. First song I heard was Humpty Dumpty in the car on the way to church with friends. I. Was. Hooked. I probably listened to that song 100 times before my friend told me that wasn't their only good song, they had a lot more. So next it was Way Less Sad, Bang!, The Good Part, Weak, etc. All the classics. And as time progressed and I became a bigger and bigger fan I started listening to just abut every song of theirs. Humpty dumpty will always have a special place in my heart though. The meaning really speaks to me, it reminds me of good times with friends and my introduction to my favorite band in the whole world ☺...and idk...it's just so special to me and I can't really explain why.
I’m Ready and I think I’ve been listening for close to a decade now. I didn’t put a name to the band though until Sober Up, but had their songs from Living Room pop up on Pandora and YouTube a lot.
Since 2019, probably. I can't place which one out of sober up, burn the house down, and 100 bad days (I think sober up) but I really started listening to them August of 2020 right after bummerland came out. I've now witnessed 2 album drops and the only "concert" I've seen is one spectacular night. 😁
It’s been a few years. Technically the first song I heard was Bang! But I didn’t know anything about the band or look into it, and some time later I heard “The Good Parts” all over tiktok along with “World’s Smallest Violin” and it finally clicked, hey all these really great songs are all by the same band! Maybe I should check out their other music!
Have yet to find a song of theirs that I didn’t like, this band is absolutely amazing 😭
First song i heard was Worlds Smallest Violin in a youtube short a little more than a year ago, started listening actively around 8 months ago after i heard Weak on the radio, and now they’re my number one artist!
Been listening since Feb. 9th 2018 and my friend sent me "Weak" and I ended up listening to their entire discography in one go (which at that time was Living Room and the Click mostly 😂)
First song was world's smallest violin. I started listening to them after I heard bang in a last life animatic then looked it up and found more of their music.
Around 2-3 years, and I first heard burn the house down on my yt reccomended (what an absolute BANGER THO). I may have before on the radio or tiktok or smt but that's not when I began liking them. Def my favorite band!
Bang!
Because I only just started liking music around grade 7 but I didn't want to listen to music that had swear words (didn't know much about AJR at the time)
I discovered them when I was in 7/8th grade so that was like… 2014? Geez. The first song I heard was I’m ready and fell in love with their album living room.
First song I ever heard was Bang then I heard Worlds Smallest Violin, then I'm not famous (from an animation) and it wasn't until Yes I'm a Mess that I actually started listening to them as a whole
7 years, first I heard from them was Weak but when I went to listen to The Click and heard Overture I immediately realized they were on some other shi not just radio play pop music
I don't remember the exact year I started. I was in college so somewhere around 2017-2018. "Weak" was my intro to them. I had that, "I'm Not Famous", "100 Bad Days", and "Sober Up" on repeat while drawing in the studio.
Been listening since 2018ish? I was working on an escape room and had to go get building materials with another girl and Karma came on in her car. I thought it was a genius idea for a song and that the presentation/execution of said idea was incredible. Listened to that whole album after that and I’ve been here ever since
First song I heard was I’m Ready when I was pretty young. Several years later, I bought the Click album on my iPod and listened to it when I didn’t have wifi :))
I’ve been on and off since 2021 but now I all I listen to is AJR (and that won’t change). The first song I heard was Bang! A friend sent me the song, I listened to it, and loved it. I I had it on repeat and then I heard some other songs of their. Nowadays, that friend doesn’t like AJR, but after showing them Inertia, they didn’t not like AJR anymore.
I mean, I liked burn the house down when it was on the radio, just wasn’t into ajr yet. When covid hit, I started listening to bang, bummerland. Then a year after that I branched into some of their lesser known songs.
I’ve been following AJR since the music vid for I’m Ready was a youtube ad back in 2013 which is absolutely *wild* to be because I’m the same age as Jack and I’ve actually grown up with them😂
It’s crazy though, because in my mind I’ll always see them as a “little indie pop band that makes music in their living room,” but they’re selling out on their stadium tours and trending all over the place and I have to remind myself that I can’t be a gatekeeper when they’re putting out banger after banger after banger
I heard my first AJR song about a year or two ago but I oy started really listening to them a few months ago. The first song I heard was Worlds Smallest Violin because it kept on being used as background music in stupid Minecraft YouTube shorts.
I was riding my bike in a beautiful state park when "No Grass Today" came on. I proceeded to listen to it roughly 6 more times after putting my bike down and just dance in the grass off the path. This was sometime in 2018 or so. I've seen them twice since and will see them again in a month!
The first song I ever heard from them was I'm Ready, but it took a long time for me to become a big fan because I was a child. Weak and Burn the House Down came later, and I really liked them, so I then began to listen to more of their music.
Haven't regretted it since and (hopefully) never will. I like every single one of their songs.
I Start liste ont to ajr last fall and it’s my friend who show me WSV (my friend wasn’t a fan). Alter, i listen to TDS and they releases YIAM few week after so There is the third song i listened
Since 2022, I was listening to music on autoplay and World's smallest violin came on. I enjoyed it so much that I started binge listening to AJR's other songs.
That was what got me into AJR, but I think I heard bang on the radio the year before.
The first time I heard them was in 2020 right around the time Bang came out. I’m Not Famous was in my YouTube recommended so I checked it out and I’ve been a fan ever since.
Well, I heard their songs way before, such as Bang!, Worlds Smallest Violin, Weak, Burn The House down, etc but never actively listened to them specifically until mid 2023, I heard Karma in a video and really liked the song, so I found it, listened to it and loved it, I listened to some other songs and slowly but surely built up my playlist of their songs. Until now, where I mainly listen to them. My playlist consists of all of their songs too, other than Thirsty and (don't hate me for this) Call My Dad.
In short, I listened to them for just over a year now, and the first song I heard was either Weak or Bang! but the song that made me like them was Karma.
I have known about AJR for a long time I listened to burn the house down and the good part for a while but never actually knew who sang it. Id say around 2018-2020
I heard Weak through a friend right when it came out. I liked it, then went into 100 Bad Days, then OK Orchestra released and Bang and Way Less Sad came out, and I became a fan
Maybe Man is fantastic
Some people don't believe this, but I've been listening since I think the original "I'm Ready" EP, and have been a mega fan since. (Shit I just realized I've been listening to this band for a decade) Last song was Inertia (Acoustic)
First song I ever heard was Weak back when it was popular on Music.ly, but I didn’t pay attention to the singer. First song that got me listening to the band was Bang! and that was roughly 3 years ago
Probably 2019 or 2020. Maybe 2021 but it just feels way longer than that. I remember hearing bang on the radio but I could've sworn I've heard burn the house down in like 2019 or 2020
The first song I heard from them was worlds smallest violin from all of those Minecraft shorts that used it. I never really checked them out from that though. What actually got me into their music was a fan animation using Bang!
So silly story- I listened to Burn the House Down first. Only because I had an obsession with Spider-Man Into the Spiderverse and had a youtube mix playlist. But at that point it was a few months before Neotheatre. So I listened to BTHD, Weak, and 100 Bad Days. Then Neotheatre came out, didn't know it, and was like "oh cool I discovered new songs." It's been since 2018 I believe? But ye, silly story. Found COMPLETELY by mistake. Now it's my favorite band
Fan since 2018, first song was Bud Like You from a friend while we were on a camping trip. I loved it so much I made them play it practically on repeat the rest of the trip
I discovered them when they played for the Ball Drop for New Years Eve 2020 when they played “Bang!”. My Mom would dive deeper and showed their songs and music videos to me. Then I saw they had an album releasing in March called “OK ORCHESTRA”, so I decided to give them a listen when it released, and well, here we are, lol.
I think it's been maybe three years now and Burn The Whole House Down was one of the first ones I listened to because there was a really good clean version.
I heard the song Bang! On my dad's playlist a couple years back and then I heard worlds smallest violin on YouTube shorts. Back then I considered AJR a 1/2 hit wonder. If not yet obvious, my opinion has changed.
Since 2017 and never stopped loving them. My fave radio station plays music from up and commers before they're known. AJR was one of them and burn the house down came out just in time for the messy politics we were experiencing! That's when I saw how amazingly artistic and creative they were. Not just a great band but creative geniuses.
I just started listening to them about a few weeks ago because my friend showed me inertia. I have listened to the click, ok orchestra, and the maybe man now. I probably first heard weak or sober up or burn the house down but i realized how many songs i know by them once i started really listening to them. Like i know wsv but i didn't know who made it and i didn't know they made so many songs i know
I've been listening since 2017 when my brother was watching some gotcha life and the song in the background was weak, I've been a die hard fan ever since in fact I'm going to their concert on the 16th
Been listening since I heard Burn the House Down on the radio in early 2018!
Same! Though it was more like late 2018 for me.
Same here
About 3 years now. And the first song I heard was Sober Up
same!
My first song was probably Bang! back when it first released because my radio station loved it, but I didn’t actively start listening to them till early last year
Ive been around since 2019, I first heard Weak as a David Dobrik outro song and its been AJR4Lyfe since
2017 and I’m Ready LOL
Same!
Since IIIIIIIII'MM READY! OOOOWEEEEEEEEEEEEE came out, it was my fav song ever at the time. still love it to bits
ARE YOU READY?!
YEAH!!!
![gif](giphy|3ofSBnyj5NUxiI5eda|downsized)
You’re feeling good?
11 years now
First song I heard was I’m not famous but didn’t know listen to any of their other songs or even know who sung it I just would listen to it with friends. then I heard bang in 2020 2021? then found bummerland and went back and realized they also played I’m not famous. Now they’re my all time favorite band!
Very similar experience to me! They’re such an awesome band
Been a fan since the summer of 2019. It started with 100 Bad Days
Sameeee
Since I’m ready 😅 I feel old
IM READYYYYYY
Can't remember how long, but I do remember the first song I've heard was Drama
Karma, it was actually from a SU fan animation, SU weirdly enough brought me to AJR, don't quite remember the year but the animation was about the end of future
Im pretty sure I was introduced to AJR with the same SU animatic lol
Heard Sober Up on the radio and I was hooked. Absolutely in love.
Exact same!
For me it was the line "My favorite color is you". I was all in after that.
Yup. I was like *is that Rivers Cuomo?? Who ARE these guys??* And it was over from there!
I love that. Glad we're in the Sober Up club
The first song I actually remember hearing was Netflix Trip. I think it was in late summer of 2020 and for some reason I was watching a deleted David Dobrik vlog even though I've never been a fan of his or even watched any of his vlogs regularly. I think I was just down a YouTuber cancellation rabbit hole and found myself at this video: [https://youtu.be/b65OIXjaJpA](https://youtu.be/b65OIXjaJpA) (It was an earlier upload but I can only find this version.) Since living room Technically… I really started listening around The Click’s album drop because I remember checking AJR out and seeing they had a new album out of nowhere
It was 2020 or 2021 and the first song was Bang!
8th grade (3 years)
Weak on the radio around 2018
Since 2017 when the click released. Sober up
I’ve been listening since around Neotheater released but the first song i heard was I’m Ready in a channel frederator video talking about SpongeBob references.
I’ve known since Bang! but haven’t consistently listened until this year
Technically my first songs were burn the house and weak when I heard them on the radio, but at the time I didn’t know who they were or that the same band sang both songs 😂 My first song when I was introduced to them by my friend was Bud Like You, my friend was learning how to sign it for her ASL class and then I was hooked on their music from there
2017 at one of these concerts where they have multiple artists! I’m not famous and weak stand out to me from that show
Since 2016, right when their mini album "what everyone's thinking" came out!
Lol
I heard weak in 2017 and I listened to just that until 2019 where I heard dear winter on the radio. I've been listening to them more since then
I’m Ready (2014) 🤭 🎶
2018. I think burn the house down was on the radio and I loved it and looked them up and fell down the rabbit hole of goodness
I had heard bits and pieces on social media, but didn't know who AJR was. Sober Up started playing one day and I just wanted to listen to it on repeat, then I just went down the rabbit hole. That was just last summer.
100 bad days when Taylor made a me! Playlist after releasing Lover in 2019
Bang
Around 3 years, first song u was introduced to was Bang!
I heard Burn the House Down and Bang in 2020 and loved them but I didn’t really get into them until 2022 when I fell in love with OK Orchestra.
Been listening since 2019 and heard bang! In my mom’s playlist. Life changing
first heard three thirty in a my little pony speedpaint and when i was like 13
I've was casually listening to a few of their songs from time to time for 2 years, but really only in the past year they have been one of my top artists. I think the first song I heard from them was Bang!
I remember listening to 100 Bad Days on loop back in 2019, probably the first song i listened from them (if not, it was Weak, but i didn't knew it was from them until this year).
about 3 years. Worlds Smallest Violin from all the YouTube Shorts
2020 when I moved to a new country and a friend sent me sober up and bud like you. Sober up is still my fav
Im very new, only finding out about them the start of this year. First one I heard was Christmas In June
Since 2020 and the first song I heard was bang! and i was automatically obsessed Edit: actually it might have been 2021...
For me, 2022, like most fans I started with World’s Smallest Violin, now an avid fan.
My first song was Drama because it was a popular song used in the YouTube “intro” community…. You know… the community of “artists” who spin 2d text for other people on the platform that plays at the beginning of their videos… yeah..
Been listening for 3 and started with Bang
First song I ever heard is Bing and I started listen to ajr about 3 or 2 years
first song i heard was the good part back in 2017 when the click came out because my local radio station loved it, i started listening to them in 2020 when bang! blew up.
Early 2021, believe it was Wow I’m not crazy
My first song was it's on us, 2017 I believe
I didn’t put a name to the band though until Sober Up, but had their songs from Living Room pop up on Pandora and YouTube a lot.
i’ve been a fan since 2015 after my brother played infinity. the living room was one the only album i listened to for a few months lmao
I heard "World's Smallest Violin" like 4 years ago but I've been properly listening to them since hearing Inertia when it first came out
Since 2019, probably. I can't place which one out of sober up, burn the house down, and 100 bad days (I think sober up) but I really started listening to them August of 2020 right after bummerland came out. Heard Bang! on the radio at the start of 2021. 3 years of listening to AJR, wow.
4 years. I've been hearing them on radios while not knowing they existed until my friend showed me Neotheater.
Heard them first in 2021 when my older brother put on World's Smallest Violin.
First song i heard was Worlds Smallest Violin in a youtube short a little more than a year ago, started listening actively around 8 months ago after i heard Weak on the radio, and now they’re my number one artist!
since 2016 and the first one was my calling from living room
The first one I heard would’ve weak but I didn’t start listening them after hearing Bang a few months after the music video came out
Been listening since Feb. 9th 2018 and my friend sent me "Weak" and I ended up listening to their entire discography in one go (which at that time was Living Room and the Click mostly 😂)
World smalest violin was the first one but the one that really got me into it was Maybe Man
First song was world's smallest violin. I started listening to them after I heard bang in a last life animatic then looked it up and found more of their music.
Been listening to them for the past 3 years the first I heard was way less sad
Around 2-3 years, and I first heard burn the house down on my yt reccomended (what an absolute BANGER THO). I may have before on the radio or tiktok or smt but that's not when I began liking them. Def my favorite band!
Listened to Karma for the first time at the beginning of 2020 and it just spiraled from there
I’m pretty sure most started in 2019 with Worlds Smallest Violin am I right?
My first song was Weak, and I dunno how long I've been listening to them- probably since like a year before they announced The Maybe Man
2 years. First song was burn the house down.
I've been listening since 2022 and my first song was World's Smallest Violin but Bang! and The Trick are what hooked me.
i’m ready. I think it was like 2017
& then I heard Netflix trip & sober up & I was like, yes this is definitely for me❤️
I have been listening their songs since 2019 and the first song i heard was Burn The House Down
Bang! Because I only just started liking music around grade 7 but I didn't want to listen to music that had swear words (didn't know much about AJR at the time)

I’ve been listening for about 5 years, and the first song I heard by them was Finale (Can’t wait to see what you do next)
4-5 years and netflix trip
I don't remember the exact year I started. I was in college so somewhere around 2017-2018. "Weak" was my intro to them. I had that, "I'm Not Famous", "100 Bad Days", and "Sober Up" on repeat while drawing in the studio.

Bang for me
Summer of 2014 I heard I’m Ready. I’ve been a fan ever since!
I was riding my bike in a beautiful state park when "No Grass Today" came on. I proceeded to listen to it roughly 6 more times after putting my bike down and just dance in the grass off the path. This was sometime in 2018 or so. I've seen them twice since and will see them again in a month!
since like 2020 and it’s on us is the first song i heard (random, ik lol)
I’ve been listening since 2020, the first song I heard was bang
Since Living Room and the first song I heard was I'm Ready.

Worlds Smallest Violin Late 2022 (Wish I had found them sooner :( )
My first song was world’s smallest violin on yt but I started listening to them after I heard yes I’m a mess last year
3 years since bang
Heard Netflix trip back in 2018. I love the office so I immediately connected with it, fell in love with their music just before neotheater came out
Around 2020-21 and Bang! But I didn’t listen to most AJR songs until New Year’s Eve 2023
Since about 2020 the first song I heard was karma and that was in an animation haha!
2012 - We Are Young cover
Since 2022, I was listening to music on autoplay and World's smallest violin came on. I enjoyed it so much that I started binge listening to AJR's other songs. That was what got me into AJR, but I think I heard bang on the radio the year before.
Same as you
Sober up! 7th grade for me, 2017!
The first time I heard them was in 2020 right around the time Bang came out. I’m Not Famous was in my YouTube recommended so I checked it out and I’ve been a fan ever since.
2021, “Worlds Smallest Violin” when it went mega viral on TikTok, but “Ok Overture” was the one that got me loving their music.
2019 First song was 100 bad days
Bang!, January 1st 2020.
2 years, first song was world’s smallest violin :)
I remember when they dropped the “I’m ready” video, and watching it, didn’t start listening to them until neotheater tho
2017 and it was Weak
I’ve been listening since 2021ish maybe 22 but the first song I heard was 100 bad days I had heard it at my local pool
very niche but in like 2017 or 2018 i went to a demi lovato concert and ajr opened for her, the first song they played was i’m ready 😭
2017, Weak. I’m so glad I looked further into their music!!!
I'm ready in 2015. Absolutely fell in love and continue to spread the good word about AJR.
new fan, about a year and a half first song i listened to was record player on the radio
Technically first song was bang but inertia got me into actually listening to them
I first heard AJR on the radio about 3 years ago. The song that I had heard was Bang and after that I just absolutely loved AJR :)
Been listening since I heard bummerland at the imagine dragons mercury tour when AJR was the hype up band
Weak when it was popular on musicaly
I have known about AJR for a long time I listened to burn the house down and the good part for a while but never actually knew who sang it. Id say around 2018-2020
I heard Weak through a friend right when it came out. I liked it, then went into 100 Bad Days, then OK Orchestra released and Bang and Way Less Sad came out, and I became a fan Maybe Man is fantastic
Some people don't believe this, but I've been listening since I think the original "I'm Ready" EP, and have been a mega fan since. (Shit I just realized I've been listening to this band for a decade) Last song was Inertia (Acoustic)
Been listening 2 AJR 4 5 months, first song i heard what Smallest Violin
2020 - burn the house down from Spotify
Since 2017 and I heard “I’m Not Famous” in a random playlist. Have enjoyed them ever since!
been a fan and first concert when i was 8. in my teens now. going to my third concert in july!
Almost 5 years, found them right before Neotheater came out. First song I heard was Weak and was instantly hooked <3
Fan since 2018, first song was Bud Like You from a friend while we were on a camping trip. I loved it so much I made them play it practically on repeat the rest of the trip
I don’t listen to them much. Rarely if any but i’ve been a fan longer than most. First song I ever heard was Weak and since then have a been a fan
First song for me was weak jn about 2018 during my gacha phase. :] (and I have been addicted ever since)
Since world’s smallest violin and my first song I heard was infinity when it came out, but I didn’t know who they where
I discovered them when they played for the Ball Drop for New Years Eve 2020 when they played “Bang!”. My Mom would dive deeper and showed their songs and music videos to me. Then I saw they had an album releasing in March called “OK ORCHESTRA”, so I decided to give them a listen when it released, and well, here we are, lol.
Started listening in 2018 after hearing Weak all over my Music.ly fyp
Started at about 2022-2023 when World's Smallest Violin blew up
I think it's been maybe three years now and Burn The Whole House Down was one of the first ones I listened to because there was a really good clean version.
I heard the song Bang! On my dad's playlist a couple years back and then I heard worlds smallest violin on YouTube shorts. Back then I considered AJR a 1/2 hit wonder. If not yet obvious, my opinion has changed.
been a fan for at least 10 years, if not longer. and my first song was "I'm Ready." I remember when Living Room was released
My first song was burn the house down, and i jeard a bunch of other songs but I hadnt realized ajr made them
Since 2017 and never stopped loving them. My fave radio station plays music from up and commers before they're known. AJR was one of them and burn the house down came out just in time for the messy politics we were experiencing! That's when I saw how amazingly artistic and creative they were. Not just a great band but creative geniuses.
My 11 year old went to the concert this year. His first concert. He's loved AJR since He was 4! He says they're relatable.
Fr thoo i agree with him I wish i could go where did yall go to for the concert? Rate it out of 10
I just started listening to them about a few weeks ago because my friend showed me inertia. I have listened to the click, ok orchestra, and the maybe man now. I probably first heard weak or sober up or burn the house down but i realized how many songs i know by them once i started really listening to them. Like i know wsv but i didn't know who made it and i didn't know they made so many songs i know
I think i’ve been listening since 2020 and my first song was Bang!
I've been listening since 2017 when my brother was watching some gotcha life and the song in the background was weak, I've been a die hard fan ever since in fact I'm going to their concert on the 16th
