Only thing difference…We were playing a good football at high level during our hot streak. Eagles was ass all year but made plays when they needed. I thought they had that killer instinct. In the end, bad coaching just like our collapse. Eagles was life less in the pre gram warms up tho.
We all know the consequences Bidwill took after the Cardinals collapse, by extending both Keim and Kingsbury. Let's wait and see if the Cowboys and Eagles will follow this glorious approach.
a couple of teams had a end of year collapse like our Kliff teams did its way better seeing other teams go through it rather then us. Miami and the Eagles are the most similar to ours. However the Browns and Cowboys got even more embarrassed in the playoffs then we did somehow.
Bucs Super Bowl champs confirmed. Fuck the Browns.
All seriousness, I thought the same thing. Feel bad for Kelce, bad way to go out. That Green Bay game will haunt me for a long time.
Total playoff wins:
Baker Mayfield: 2
Browns entire franchise history: 1
Imagine trading your future away, paying a quarter of a billion dollars, and downgrading at QB. Normally I wouldn't be so excited to dunk on them, but let's just say that Watson gives me 20+ reasons.
Had fans crowning Joe Flacco when he had a 12/7 TD/INT ratio. Watson is a bum both on and off the field. Made me like Baker infinitely more. Kid had heart and Stefanski hung him out to dry in favor of a prolific serial predator.
It was even worse for me since I moved to New York years ago and that was my first (and to date) only game I've ever been to at that stadium. AND I was there with a Packers fan 🤮
That’s the worst. The only one I’ve been able to see in person was the one in St. Louis in Pat P’s rookie year. My obnoxious ass pissed off all the drunk Rams fans when he took a punt back 80 yards for a touchdown.
Personally I think their collapse is worse.
We lost our starting Center after Greenbay and never recovered he only played one game more after that. We lost Dhop. We had no depth anywhere. As soon as our starters started going down we were cooked.
Eagles had Aj brown until the playoffs they had one of the best OLs in the league they had every piece they needed to win but couldn’t due to coaching. We didn’t have any pieces left by the time we limped into the playoffs they still had plenty.
Kyler copped a bit of a hip drop, not a full hip drop but his leg got tangled up scrambling. He missed 3 weeks and the bye from that and was never the same that season.
Actually we didn’t even have Rodney for the Greenbay game he went down before so we lost our center even sooner and JJ went down as well right before as well. We literally were limping into the playoffs and played an absolute stacked rams team. Eagles had no excuse to go into the playoffs the way they did and got blown out by Tampa.
That Rams team won the whole enchilada too. I like Baker, and I’m glad to see Bowles doing well… but ain’t no way in hell that team wins the chip. Why aren’t they dogging on Jalen (a guy I’ve rooted for and still think of as a good, talented QB) like they did K1? Media bias is crazy man.
Jalen has been more consistent than kyler, and has shown a higher ceiling and higher floor than kyler.
Let's not act like they're comparable qbs. Jalen has proven he can play mvp level consistently over a whole season.
…. With a much better supporting cast than any Kyler has ever had. Jalen had an MVP level season last year with AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith, Dallas Goedert, and 4 of the best offensive linemen in the league (Lane Johnson, Landon Dickerson, Jason Kelce, and Jordan Mailata). Shane Steichen, the play caller for that offense, nearly took the Colts to the playoffs this season with Gardner Minshew taking the lion’s share of reps at QB1.
Compare that to Kyler’s best year (2021): with DHop missing 7 games, and the rest of the offense possessing less than half the talent of the 2022 Eagles, Kyler put up nearly identical numbers.
Jalen in 2022 (15 Games): 3701 PaYds, 22/6 TD/INT, 66.5% completion percentage
Kyler in 2021 (14 games): 3787 PaYds, 24/10 TD/INT, 69.2% completion percentage
Tell me again, whose ceiling is higher?
Hurts. It's absolutely wild to not see that the consistent performances beats singular peaks. Also, hurts' best game ever was his biggest game. The superbowl.
Kylers worst game was his singular playoff game.
Trying to argue that kyler is a comparable qb is absolute madness.
One is consistent. One is not.
Hurts has had one season where he has had a 2/1 TD/INT ratio. This year, he was 23/15, with 5 lost fumbles.
Hurts played well in the Super Bowl, but he also coughed up an incredibly costly fumble that was returned for a touchdown - in a game his team lost by 3 points.
Kyler played poorly in the playoff game, but his best option on offense was a hobbled Zach Ertz - against an all-time great pass rush.
Trying to argue that they do not show, at the very least, comparable consistency is absolute madness.
One has a history of turnover issues, the other does not.
Hurts did it for more than a season. Kyler did it for one half of a season. I'm not sure what you're trying to argue. Go to the NFL subreddit and try to argue that kyler is comparable to hurts, despite being in the NFL longer. I'd be happy to read that thread.
Imagine how much different that game would’ve gone if Kyler had had a second option as talented as Devonta Smith though. Not to mention, Goedert was so good that Philly cut Ertz that season and he’s probably the third option on an Eagles team without AJ Brown in the lineup. Also had an absolutely stacked offensive line out there. DJ Humphries would be the fifth best lineman on that team.
It was the almost exact same way too. Start off blazing hot with an end of the season collapse because of a predictable head coach and then get blown out in the first round of the Playoffs as the 5th seed by the 4th seed. Thats how our season played out a few years back.
I think if we had Monti and Gannon with that team, we at least make the NFC Championship. I’m not sure if we would have beaten the 49ers or the Bengals, but definitely the Rams and the Bucs.
They beat the Rams twice in the regular season and the 49ers only lost by 3 to them in the post season. I definitely would not make the claim that the Rams were better than the 49ers that year.
Niners covered all three games against the Rams that year, I know because I bet the Niners on all three. It’s because of the coaching schemes mostly.
Niners won the two regular season matchups against the Rams, then covered in the playoffs by losing by a field goal. Niners have owned the Rams, winning 9 of their last 10 against the Rams. Here’s a link to see how the Niners have owned the Rams the last few years. [H2H Niners/Rams](https://www.covers.com/sport/football/nfl/matchup/284913)
Rams were definitely better. 49ers just hit form at the right time. Don't forget we beat the 49ers comfortably with both Kyler and Colt in the first half of the season.
Very reminiscent of our 8-0 start
Thank you all. My buddy is a big eagles fan and I was wandering why no one compared. I know feel sane again.

Cards have way better fans than Philly, WAY better, so there is that.
It’s crazy how good the cards could have been if Kliff never joined them

Started 10-2. Ended 11-7.
We didn't go to SuperBowl previous year though. Eagle is a greater fall.
a couple of teams had a end of year collapse like our Kliff teams did its way better seeing other teams go through it rather then us. Miami and the Eagles are the most similar to ours. However the Browns and Cowboys got even more embarrassed in the playoffs then we did somehow.
Jags completely blew it on even making the playoffs
yeah knew i was forgetting a team man that was a bad collapse as well and ruined our pick.
Bucs Super Bowl champs confirmed. Fuck the Browns. All seriousness, I thought the same thing. Feel bad for Kelce, bad way to go out. That Green Bay game will haunt me for a long time.

They lost by the exact same margin as the ‘21 cardinals, by 23
I was just telling my manager, who is an eagles fan, the same freaking thing. Great start, bad collapse, embarrassing playoff loss in the wildcard.
Personally I think their collapse is worse. We lost our starting Center after Greenbay and never recovered he only played one game more after that. We lost Dhop. We had no depth anywhere. Didn't we also lose JJ?
Yeah, he missed a few weeks and came back for the playoff game IIRC
I think he got injured week 7 so he missed 9 or 10 games.
Kyler also got banged up on the last drive of that Green Bay game. Like, the second to last play, I think it was an ankle thing.
Kyler copped a bit of a hip drop, not a full hip drop but his leg got tangled up scrambling. He missed 3 weeks and the bye from that and was never the same that season.

Yeah, his safety was just as bad as Kyler's pick 6.
Imagine how much different that game would’ve gone if Kyler had had a second option as talented as Devonta Smith though. Yes, but the media will always run cover for popular teams vs. the Cardinals. It's why Dak gets hyped and Kyler gets crapped on.
Dak, Hurts, and Tua don't get nowhere near the criticism of Murray.
And Lawrence.
It was the almost exact same way too. Start off blazing hot with an end of the season collapse because of a predictable head coach and then get blown out in the first round of the Playoffs as the 5th seed by the 4th seed. Thats how our season played out a few years back.
I think Cardinals had a more severe injury to the QB going into playoffs
Yeah, that was the season the Rams murdered two Cardinals QBs.
So the Bucs will win the super bowl?
Fuck the Rams
Imagine if we had different coaching staff.
I think if we had Monti and Gannon with that team, we at least make the NFC Championship. I’m not sure if we would have beaten the 49ers or the Bengals, but definitely the Rams and the Bucs.
