I would love to work at a place where I'm left alone to do my job, my supervisor doesn't have an inferiority complex, and where I'm not low-key pressured to attend workplace social events on the weekend. Actual company doesn't matter so much.
Also somewhere with ample paid vacation. So that pretty much narrows it down to something in the EU lol.
I’m in Canada and this sounds like my current company. I’m usually left alone to do my job and barely have meetings, only meetings when we’re really busy and need to coordinate. I found the work Christmas event super awkward so I might skip the next one lol. Only problem is I may need to quit if I don’t get a high enough pay increase next year.
I imagine it wouldn’t be much different than working for any other software company. You might get free or discounted games, you might get to see a few things early - but probably not much as you aren’t working production. I’ve bounced around a few different industries and while a few things change from place to place, debits stay debits and credits stay credits wherever you go.

I've thought about moving out of the US at times, but generally speaking, that seems like it would be rather hard as most of the world doesn't really use GAAP in the same way.
This was before I transitioned to Industry accounting though, and my company now is multinational, so there's like the slightest opportunity that I'd be able to work somewhere else. And if I could, I've thought about working in Canada before. I've heard a lot of good things about Vancouver in particular. And it's still in the same time zone.
In terms of field of work, that doesn't really matter to me. I dunno. It's just accounting no matter where you do it. Wizards of the Coast might be fun, but I also suspect their books and internal records might be trash, however potentially good employee discounts might seem.
