I had a 2011 8th Si Sedan with 64K. I purchased it directly from the original owner. It's definitely a more refined car and is slightly more comfortable. The seats are more comfortable & supportive, partly because they're cloth. The factory LSD is nice. Known issues like sagging headliner, awful clear coat quality effect all of them.
I grew to dislike the really deep dashboard & the engine being halfway under the windshield. I didn't use the backseat or trunk.I missed having a hatchback\liftback as I came from a 1st gen Fit. I've owned a '01 Integra & '00 Civic Hatchback as well.
I definitely enjoy my '06 RSX Type-S more. It feels & is slightly older.
EVERYBODY I have decided to not post my car on marketplace and offer up to trade for an 8th gen civic si. Thankyou for letting me realize how the rsx platform still supports each other, thus is making me stay here. 🙇🏻🙇🏻
Lmao do not listen to this guy, the SI is a better car in every aspect. The transmission has better gearing, the Z3 is a SUPERIOR motor, it has RBC intake manifold from factory, better flowing head, like wtf is bro on
I love these integras I own one, but I also understand that the FA5 is a better car overall. Would be an idiot to think otherwise.
There difference in the chassis is driving feel. The RSX feels like a go kart when built correctly and it is a lot harder to replicate that feeling in a FA5. So it’s really a matter of preference here.
If you don’t need it for the space , which is understandable ie: just had a kid etc and it doesn’t sound like you do as you stated you have a TL also. I believe you’ll end up regretting it pretty bad but that’s just my opinion. Everyone is different.
I wouldnt go with a Honda its a tad bit of a insult/downgrade to myself IMO. Even today I remain in the Acura Family.
I tried the new Accord the seats are nice. But its eh, I feel like it was too much to handle on the looks and what MSRP is these days. The 2024 Civics have Euro front ends and Audi style rear tail lights. but not my cup of tea.
I know what you mean, all of my cars are acura! ‘90 integra, ‘11 TL, and ‘05 rsx so I’ve been in the acura for some time. It’s just when I was in the Philippines, I’ve really love the Civic FD’s even though some are autos. That was my plan is to get an FA5 and do a FD conversion
Phoenix yellow, not officially though.

Here is a more HD pic(i hope)
Wouldn't a 9th gen be better? Pretty similar except a bigger engine with more torque, although not quite as high revving. Why do people like the 8th more?
I think its because the 9th gen si doesn’t have true vtec like the ones on the rsx and 8th gens where they have vtec on intake and exhaust. The only reason why I had thought of going to an 8th gen si is because I wanted to do the FD type r body kit conversion
Should’ve posted this in the Honda sub, you’re getting a pretty big bias from this group lmao.
My friend has a civic. I’d much rather have my near stock RSX more than his fully built civic just because I’m still in love with my baby.
Gonna let this one slide homie but don’t you ever disrespect yourself like that lol. You know how many people with and Si dream of having an rsx 😂. That’s probably the best Honda/acura out there. Up with the NSX and s2k. Dc5 are the best!
I’ve drove at least 5 civic si’s. Keep your rsx, it’s a car that all it’s gonna do is keep going up in value and that civic, it’s just going to depreciate and it’s just a civic in the end. I see them EVERYWHERE
If you want the si lsd u need ktuned vss, u have to swap rsx gear selector box on trans re drill an tap case. I now have an 09 si transmission in my rsx definitely a lot better.
8th gen Si is one of the better Sis though, so it'll hold value long term. But yeah, I see the RSX being that bit more valuable, if he really cares about the investment. 2-doors are definitely a thing of the past; hopefully they come back into fashion again some day.
I can definitely see that with the fa5’s but the fg2’s and fg1’s are all beat to shit and can find them low miles 3-5k all day compared to rsx can’t find them under 6
But 8th gen si sedan is definitely the best and now that i think about it, they do retain value well, a lot better than the coupes. But my favorite si coupe is gonna have to be a 10th gen idk why.
Yeah, 9th and 10th gen coupes look good. Don't know what Honda was thinking designing the rear of the 8th... I would honestly rather build a 7th gen coupe than that thing.
Everybody always talks about it having LSD, truth is, on the day to day, you won't be able to tell the difference. Trading this gem in for an Si is like going from a rare gem to a diamond. Neither is bad, but one is absolutely just BETTER.
Plus the stereo in the Si sucks.
I’ve had 3 rsx type S’ all 02-04. I’ve been yearning for another so I bought an fa5 to fill the gap. It’s k24A, fbo/tuned, 235whp/206wtq.
I still miss and need to buy another rsx. Don’t do it.
Keep the rsx 1000000%

Your dc5 is way too clean, keep it
😩😩

That fa5 better be clean af and low miles.
Bro that’s a k series, zl1 motor why would you trade it for a civic si ???
Isn’t the k20z3 from the 8th gen si better than the z1? Also had factory lsd
Z3 has 197hp z1 has 210. Si has lsd main diff. Keep the rsx.
Thanks for that info!

Keep the rsx for sure. Sold my super clean one and regret it :(
you would absolutely regret selling the rsx
If you don’t need it for the space , which is understandable ie: just had a kid etc and it doesn’t sound like you do as you stated you have a TL also. I believe you’ll end up regretting it pretty bad but that’s just my opinion. Everyone is different.
Why not TL-->Si?
I wouldnt go with a Honda its a tad bit of a insult/downgrade to myself IMO. Even today I remain in the Acura Family. I tried the new Accord the seats are nice. What yellow is that btw? Also keep the rsx lmao

Officially better than a civic tho 🗣️
Yup that’s why I’m keeping it🙇🏻🙇🏻

That yellow is seriously nasty, keep the type s
No
Keep The rsx, yours is clean And honestly I think it would gain more value Than the sedan would long term
Get the 8th and keep the rsx.
Man if I have the room for it why not. I have an rsx, DA integra, and a cbr600 thats just me lol
Should’ve posted this in the Honda sub, you’re getting a pretty big bias from this group lmao. My friend has a civic. I’d much rather have my near stock RSX more than his fully built civic just because I’m still in love with my baby.
What wheels are those
Gram Lights 57DR
RAGRET
Dam what color paint code is that?
Even tho is yellow, I’d still keep it over the civic.
There's nothing the Si has that you can do to the RSX. Also it weighs less and looks way better.
10000000% keep that beauty
I wish I had of kept mine
Dude don’t trade this in they will kill you on that value and everything you’ve put into it
Keep the rsx
Fuck no. Never.

If it’s got four doors it’s a taxi! Keep the RSX, the hatchback is way more usable than a trunk.
I’ve drove at least 5 civic si’s. Keep your rsx, it’s a car that all it’s gonna do is keep going up in value and that civic, it’s just going to depreciate and it’s just a civic in the end. I see them EVERYWHERE

Oh, I forgot about the 8th gen coupe. That was not a good looking car. I love the sedan, though. Nice C-pillar design, haha.
But 8th gen si sedan is definitely the best and now that i think about it, they do retain value well, a lot better than the coupes. But my favorite si coupe is gonna have to be a 10th gen idk why.

No i hate how it looks from the back and the tailight.

RSX no contest
Do it you won’t regret it.
