When my starter died it did the same thing, then eventually stopped working completely, thankfully starters aren’t to pricey and if you’re handy you can fix it yourself. All you have to remove is the intake, throttle body and intake manifold
My starter was going bad for more than a year. It was a weird phenomenon. It was worse in extreme heat or extreme cold after sitting for a while. It wouldn't start. Weird thing is opening the hood and trying again always worked.

I figured, is there a reason why it will start up fine after letting it sit and why it only happens in the morning?
