I got a 3d printed thingamajig to hold my nalgene water bottle in the car because I got sick of it rolling around and not fitting. Works great. If you want to keep the mug
I posted a question about this yesterday and it seems the yeti 20 oz tumblers work as well, and those are more cup holder friendly
Edit: Im finding that the Yeti tumbler is actually NOT good for my use case. I brew ~20 oz into the yeti and then pour into a mug 2-3x throughout the morning. The yeti is absolutely not designed to pour liquid and makes a mess down the side of the container every single time.
lol yes the XL carafe always dribbles / makes a mess when I pour. I suspect the spout is too thick and they couldn't make it thinner there without comprising the structural integrity.
Will it fit in a car cup holder?
I went and checked just to be sure, but it looks like only the bottom taper would fit into one of my larger cupholders in my car. Kind of a bummer.

Is not the Aeropress plastic as well?
