Kingrinder k6! Also recently acquired and very satisfied with it!
I'm discovering the ability to adapt the grind size to every specific bean so you get the perfect cup
I just got the k6 this weekend, I can't believe the difference in my aeropress coffee vs the cheap electric burr grind I had. I'm literally using 6g less coffee and still needing some dilution. Before I could use 20+g and it not be too strong.
My biggest complain is getting the upper cap off is a pain if you fully seat it, and using an O-ring to retain the handle is a little goofy to me.
Had thoughts of removing it, I'll take it off now. That makes sense now thats ive thought about it at a time that was 6 am. It's only there to hold it in place if you're using a drill.
If I let it fully seat I have to use my fingernails under the lip and pry on two sides to get it to come off, which is more faffing around than I prefer to deal with when I'm already for work lol
this 3d printed clip is better than the oring at keeping the top and grinder together: [https://www.printables.com/model/343221-coffee-grinder-hand-crank-retainer-c-clip](https://www.printables.com/model/343221-coffee-grinder-hand-crank-retainer-c-clip)
Seperately I created this handle holder for the K6: [https://www.printables.com/model/748970-kingrinder-k6-handle-holder](https://www.printables.com/model/748970-kingrinder-k6-handle-holder)
If you search my models I also have a picopresso directly grind adapter :D
Not to plug a different person's 3D model but I printed this [dust cover and handle holder ](https://www.printables.com/model/851277-kingrinder-k6-dust-cover-handle-storage)
I really like that it positively holds the handle but also keeps airborne stuff from getting in my grinder.
Almost same story. I had melitta molino and the upgrade to K6 is huge.
I only had my moka pot previously to compare (ordered Aeropress and K6 at the same time almost) and now I know moka pot coffee is not as bitter as I thought.
Having the lid with the white o-ring attached to the handle is quite comfortable even it's "a little goofy". Give it a try!
I had trouble with the clear o ring coming off, but I hadn't removed the black o ring from the cap, I'm sure once I take the cap o ring off that clear o ring will be sufficient.
I didn't have much time to experiment but depends on the roast level and the recipe.
For Hoffman recipe and a light roasted coffee I found the most balanced cup was at 65 clicks if I remember correctly. While a darker roast was still bitter at 71.
Best you can do is try a initial setting (70 for example), taste it and adjust depending on the sour-bitter balance
The only thing I don’t like about the Baratza is the noise; it’s loud. I’m not sure how the dB rank amongst other electric grinders but I’m sure there are quieter ones
Kindgrinder K6 and love it. Opted for it over the 1zpresso because of cost and don’t regret it at all. It’s been so consistent for both the aeropress (use when traveling) and pour over with my Kalita.
I bought a triple tree grinder off Amazon. It lasted 3 days past Amazon’s warranty before the handle fell off. The manufacturer wouldn’t reply to my warranty request either.
So I highly recommend never using a triple tree grinder.
This [Rhino Coffee Gear](https://www.ozocoffee.com/product/rhinoware-hand-grinder/) hand grinder. Comes with the Aeropress attachment too. Great littler grinder, that also slips inside your aeropress for storage
I find it amazing that these grinder companies don’t get cease and desist orders for copying the exact form factor of previous grinders. I have a 1zpresso that is almost identical in form factor, right down to the wooden knob. The only thing I can imagine is that these companies don’t patent their designs.

I have the K2 also. But three rotations for Aeropress? That’s more in pourover territory - 120 clicks. I usually do 75-80 clicks for standard Aeropress recipes.
My entry to coffee grinding was Kingrinder K2 too. There's some negatives about it I'd like to point out - I wasn't able to remove the axle to deep clean it. Never found any good manual about it either. And rubber/resin part on the body feel sticky after \~1 year, probably depends on various conditions.
Switched to a Comandante C40 MK4 and using it for a year now.
The grinder at Costco when I buy beans. Course grind for cold brew, get home and sift through a fine metal sieve. Fines for Aeropress, surprising how much of it ends up fine.
A q2s. I used to use my encore more (still do for my wife), but I bought the q2 for travel and love it so much it’s my go to. Which means I want a better electric or hand grinder.
I have the K6. I'm still a beginner, but everybody recommended the K6. I thought it was too expensive, but I like that you can dial on the outside, it seems solid. It can do more than I need. I rarely play around with the settings, only switch between FP and pourover.
I saw that after the most recent James Hoffman video the P series of Kingrinder was sold out. I was actually considering a P2, but then went with K6. Had to wait 6 weeks to get mine as it was constantly out of stock on Amazon ....

The black O ring is supposed to be taken off if you are using the handle. Makes it much easier to remove the upper cap.

I kept the o-ring on the cap and the handle. I haven’t seen a reason to remove them. Keeps everything nice and secure. The cap is easy to remove.
If I let it fully seat I have to use my fingernails under the lip and pry on two sides to get it to come off, which is more faffing around than I prefer to deal with when I'm already for work lol
Haha, had the same issue and just figured out that I need to take off that huge ring a few weeks later. Made things so much easier. :D

What's your ideal click range for Aeropress?

Chestnut C2 for hand grinding. Baratza Encore for electric
exactly what I have. No complaints with either so far.
The only thing I don’t like about the Baratza is the noise; it’s loud. I’m not sure how the dB rank amongst other electric grinders but I’m sure there are quieter ones
I live alone. The noise doesn't bother me.
What setting do you use for the Baratza with your Aeropress? Around 10?
12-14 for me!
Spot on! Plus or minus 2
Knock Aergrind.
+1 Aergrinder
Aergrind for me too!
Grindr
Almost spit out my drink! Nice

1zpresso ZP6 Special
Kinu M47 classic.
1Zpresso X-Ultra. Absolutely love it.
1Zpresso X-Pro S. My first grinder and I've been pretty happy tasting various coffees purchased from Costco! 😁
X-Pro is great for me too. I upgraded from a Porlex Tall II and the difference is pretty noticeable not only in taste but also usability.
timemore c3
Me too!
Comandante C40 MK4
Timemore 078 though I don't daily aeropress as much as I used to.
1Zpresso Q2 because it fits inside the AP plunger for travel purposes.
1zpresso x ultra!
Can’t believe so few people have said 1Zpresso here. The X-Ultra has been awesome for both espresso and AeroPress.
There was none when I posted, I was shocked!
Wilfa CGWS-130B
Kingrinder k2 as well, my first grinder so nothing to compare it to but it makes a good coffee, I grind at 45 clicks.
That band being bonded to the metal is GREAT! That is not the case on my 1ZPresso JX LOL, it’s annoying

Kimdgrindee also
1Zpresso J Manual Coffee Grinder, love it!
Porlex mini
Comandante X25 Trailmaster.
I've heard good things about this grinder. I used the 1zpresso ZP6 or the Kinu m47 Phoenix. Depends on what I'm feeling.
For my aeropress I have a lagom mini. Superb little tthing
I want a Kingrinder. I looked at the K2 but really interested in the K4
This [Rhino Coffee Gear](https://www.ozocoffee.com/product/rhinoware-hand-grinder/) hand grinder. Comes with the Aeropress attachment too. Great littler grinder, that also slips inside your aeropress for storage
Timemore Slim Plus
Kingrinder P0... my first hand grinder, and I couldn't be happier. What a steal at $22.
Timemore C2, makes a lovely Moka.
Vssl. It's bad ass
JX-PRO S. Grinds dead nuts size for espresso and AP with Prismo every single time.
Another happy K2 user here!
An i the only one with an OE Lido?
Solis Scala electric burr
KINGrinder K6. Only had a couple months, but it’s my first higher quality grinder. I absolutely love it!

The real version of that one.
Kingrinder k3, very capable! Better than timemore c2
Normcore V2.
