The Glens Falls area has really improved in the last 10 years.
With tons of new restaurants, stores & businesses popping up in that area, easy access to the Adirondack’s & the general availability of homes it’s been becoming more and more popular.
Glad you said that, I haven't been to Glens Falls in 12-15 years and was very confused on how it could be a top relocation destination from anywhere but Detroit or central Florida.
Someone posted on another thread to someone spending the summer in Glens Falls if you need anything Albany isn't too far away.
Scratched my head. Except whole foods and trader Joe's (both niche stores) I can't really think of anything Glens Falls/Saratoga/Queensbury doesn't have that Albany does. Plus Rutland is actually closer and has some more options.
I grew up in Syracuse and have spent the last 11 years here in Albany. Honestly, I would move back to Syracuse. It really has gotten better in recent years.
I almost took a pharmaceutical manufacturing QA job in Glens Falls, they were a contender but couldn’t quite match the package I’m getting in the Capital Region.
I definitely would live in DC if I had DC cash. I absolutely love it there. I spent some formative years there that have imprinted on me. Same as here. ☺️
I loved living in DC. The cost of living is absurd (though not quite NYC or SF levels of crazy) and the traffic can take years off your life but just about everything else about it is awesome.
The snow there is nothing like it is here. Though they don't have the infrastructure to take care of it like it is here. A couple of inches turns the whole metro area into a madhouse as nobody knows how to drive in the snow.
This got dark lol. Why attack someone like this for wanting to leave Albany and commenting on a post asking where u would go if u left??? So strange and extra triggering

Literally anywhere is better than Florida.
Nah fl is better then upstate
it has ! however, it still snows :(
Just give it a decade.
I've given upstate 20 years it hasn't changed
Albany to Syracuse is an odd move. At best, it's a side grade.

Syracuse is cheaper and has Wegmans. Thats probably the only benefit
Decent amount of jobs though. And more coming with micron.
Spending two days there for the eclipse was more than enough for me and the wife. Definitely a downgrade in our eyes. Grass is always greener.
You cray. Syracuse rules! Plus it's got that Wegmans.
Fuck you and you fucking awesome wegmans we are not allowed to have but demand.
Costco too.

DC is brilliant. So many cool af neighborhoods; so sophisticated; so aware…lawyers as far as the eye can see. 😄
If it didn't snow I would agree with you.

I was looking at Charlotte and also dc which is funny that they both show up. Also interesting how all of the locations are east coast
It must be family. I'd probably be in the Rockies if family wasn't in the picture.
I will probably land in Tucson. But I have family there.
Man, I can’t imagine moving to somewhere with worse or equally bad weather.
my partner and I are planning on LA. Can not wait to get out of this shit hole
Ciao!
We can't wait
So you're going to LA?
if everything goes as planned yes
All those negative downvotes for even planning a move. You'd had at least think they would ask why. I am going to Louisiana shortly, too.
Please go, you bring nothing to the table and still complain
I grew up here I have a right too
youre just another loud mouth that doesn't contribute to our community, plenty of losers like you grew up here and love to run their mouths too
