Lmao even in this supposedly "good timeline", the term "it's a good game, just not a good Fallout game" still probably parroted around in the fanbase. Fallout fans never change
This is a continuation of my [previous post.](https://www.reddit.com/r/AlternateHistory/comments/1dtgwzb/what_if_obsidian_had_taken_over_development_of/)
Following the success for Obsidian that was Fallout 4, they eventually announced and threw out a brand-new Fallout game, Fallout: For the Republic, in 2024.
For the Republic throws away the usual Fallout RPG formula and decides to try something new; something akin to a game of the FPS genre.
Safe to say... It didn't do near as well.
Out of all of Obsidian's Fallout games, it would end up doing the worst.
However, many would soon be shocked to discover that the entire game was just a front for two more larger Fallout projects, the first of which would be revealed just a few months after the game's release: a collab between Obsidian Entertainment and Warner Bros, adding the Fallout 2 character Sergeant Dornan into Mortal Kombat 1.
This new collaboration would end up being a great success, and thousands of people, Fallout and MK fans alike, would soon flock to get the new addition upon its release.
The second major project remains shrouded in shadow, although many rumors are spreading around regarding some kind of "Rising Sun"...
If y'all enjoyed this and want to see Part 3, let me know; this timeline has been really fun to make.
I'm sorry, I'm sorry; I haven't played Fallout 2 in forever and I had just finished watching [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3eIy9z5vQFw&pp=ygUVc2VyZ2VhbnQgZG9ybmFuIGFsZXhh) from my YT recommended

cause I... forgot... that he... existed...
YOU FORGOT FRANK HORRIGAN EXISTED!?!?!
Tbf to OP, Frank Horrigan would take up the entire screen LMFAO

Horrigan, rip this mutie limb from limb.
I like that Obsidian doesn't have a perfect track record in this TL even if their FO4 was great. Keeps it from being wank
The least realistic part is hbomberguy uploading more than 1 video per year
Were Obsidian and Bethesda acquired by Xbox in this timeline?
