My DSP doesn't have enough step vans. My solution is to get out the driver side door and walk around to the side door. It's slower but I don't care. Knees and back are more important than speed.

We don’t get choices on our vans and by golly I hate the prime vans my head has never recovered (6’3) the amount of packages that almost got curb stomped.
None of the cargo vans are built for people with long legs. You don't even need to be tall for it to be an issue. The cabins are simply not designed for high volume stop counts. Only step vans are. Or the postman LLVs.
Good for them and you, maybe their attitude and practices can metastasize around the entire company. It's kinda infuriating knowing just how much easier Amazon could be making all of your jobs, and with most likely minimal financial input, the quality of work life payoff is a 10x for sure but nobody ever thinks to just try to be better, it's a cultural issue and one fucking guy has a lot to answer for.
I was driving a old ass budget van yesterday and that sum bitch had a low thin door! I hit my head so many times I just got fed up and just kept getting out the driver door and walking around the van
