Same. Got a bachelor degree and a cdl license. Only stayed around this long as it was pretty flexible and I never had problems with upt. Recently I just have been getting burned out and feeling unsatisfied with my job and the pay. I've been with Amazon for 2 years and applied for numerous job positions but they always hired externally. So im starting to put my application elsewhere. Gonna miss the upt, pto, and other benefits but my warehouse can go fuck themselves 😆.
I used to think people were crazy for hating working for this place. When I'm not fixing every other shift's fuck ups, I honestly really love the job. But when you combine them paying me nothing for $40 an hour of my labor - yes, I am worth that there, and much more elsewhere - and the lobotomized management, now I kind of get it.

Yes it sucks I am glad I'm no longer at a FC. I'm now at a SC and you learn most paths but they are much more easy going. Sometimes its more physical work but it makes it go by faster.
After working customer service I went back to Amazon haha. It might be draining sometimes but at least I can work by myself and listen to podcasts while I do it
Amazon is honestly solid after becoming a fast food shift manager. More pay at Amazon, for around the same or less work then I currently do. (I'm nightshift too) And no stress? Almost makes me wanna apply again
I've quit and come back more times then I can count 😅 not going to quit again til I actually find a better job (I don't know what I want, thinking about using career choice) because I know I'll just come back. I've worked fast food and retail and I prefer Amazon over those
I understand man. I'm currently on my 5th time back at amazon. it's like a toxic relationship. ya deal with the abuse for so long and leave. then ya leave and miss it after a while. come back, rinse and repeat.
I hate this company and job with a passion but being able to use your PTO without approval from your manager is god tier. It's a bit harder at a higher level because you have expectations to meet still but ultimately if I need time off I'm taking it and it sounds like a lot of other jobs don't have this.
I can see how this brings people back.
It only works when there is vet
My days are Wed to sat. Shift swap sat to Tues . Vet a half shift Saturday and a half shift vet Sunday.
That's six days in a row so they don't schedule my Monday vet
Flex has me in a chokehold. I don't know many jobs that let you pick and choose when you come in and how long you stay. It's what kept me in the same building for 2yrs, I've NEVER kept a job this long. This is my fourth warehouse though.
Saying I never help around, lazy, etc.
to their credit i was like this at the very beginning but the last couple of months i’ve been putting in the effort and work. i’ve even been friendlier to everyone there.
yet there perception of me stays the same.
like i don’t help in one area they immediately think it’s a dig at them.

I had an am tell me I couldn’t leave without saying nothing after he saw me log off station to leave without an hour notice so my “I’m leaving” turned into “oh no I have a family emergency” can’t give notice for an unplanned emergency
You don't have to give notice at all regardless. They only try to make it seem that way for headcount purposes. My management team wants to phrase it as you being "courteous" but don't realize you have to extend courtesy to receive courtesy. We can still leave regardless and they can't stop you. You really don't have to say anything just walk away, clock out and there's nothing they can do about it.
at my warehouse you have to give a 2 hour notice if your leaving and if you don’t they will literally write you up. had a friend leave early a couple days without saying anything and they got written up both times

Once someone starts the rumor BS it's almost impossible to fight it. People believe complete made up BS about someone without a second thought.
First of all welcome back. I don’t care what anyone say but this is the best job I ever had. Everything is so easy you don’t got deal with customers and you basically work your own boss. But of course we have mostly BS boss but in reality we can choose to leave early if you don’t use up all the UPT. You got anytime pay, You can take vacation or PTO anytime you want. And great benefits. I wish I started working for amazon like 20 years ago. And yes you deal with a lot BS employees but I’m not there to make friends I’m there to make money.
Facts it’s crazy how ppl complain I work crets and usually pick ups shift every week and that puts me at 30! Hours weekly and iWork the last shift so I get 2 dollar extra pay. For the lifestyle I lead it’s the ideal situation for me. Good luck and stack this paper

For all the stuff that Amazon is bad at, there are actually some good things about the job, like being treated like a number, which is bad in itself, but also good.
I work healthcare and would have to agree with op.
Face to face service is trash and honestly it’s stressing me out more than Amazon did.

lol! I left Amazon for another job and came back 7 months later. Leaving early and choosing to use your PTO, UPT, and vacation any time I want is such a plus for me as well. I appreciate that kind of flexibility.
I get it, I worked for Amazon for over 5 years and my last 3 were as a PA at 3 different buildings. I was making nearly $25 an hour. I left due to try to follow my dreams of just being an esthetician, it hardly pays so I got a job at TJ Maxx and they pay $16.28 an hour. I’m trying to come back as a Tier 3 if possible due to my experience. I’ve been gone almost 2 years though.
I can’t imagine going back to McDonald’s or something. Welcome back lmao
