I use an allergen shampoo for my dog that might help if your dog is scratching to make the soars. Have you gone to a different vet or gotten your dog an allergy test. Depending on the allergy, you might be able to tell if different parks/ areas are worse.

NanaSag84

What shampoo do you use?

EmmaO-born

I can't remember. It's a smaller brand I get from my local farmers market, and I haven't found it online. Sorry.

EmmaO-born

It has been a while, but the brand is natural buddy relief shampoo

Zealousideal_Bet4105

Try finding a medicated shampoo that has at least 2% Chlorhexadine and bath 1-2 times a week until it begins to clear up.

Frudays

Allergies. See at vet

NanaSag84

He already sees vet I'm just trying to find something to calm down his spots

Here’s my script after the vet and before me when I tell you my dog is allergic to grass! I cover his bed in sheet and change the sheets weekly next, I give him allergy meds daily. https://preview.redd.it/t7cwjjj1vm6d1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=f7b9536fafb2884643dc8f08bb9975fafd63a52b

Reasonable-Ad1728

Coconut oil until you can get his allergy medication

bullybreedlovin

I put some on my pup an hour ago. Really helps sooth the skin and keeps him from drying out.

rRizla77

Take the beef out. It could be a food allergy. It's taken me 2 years (& a lot of vet bills, tests, etc) to rule out the meat proteins my boy is allergic to. he's been on salmon for a while now & I've gradually tried different meat proteins. He can currently only have buffalo & camel & I only give him those as a treat. He's also atopic, so the summer grasses set him off, too. When he has a bad flare-up, like recently, I gave him a 3 day course of steroids, his antihistamines , bathed him with the Clorexyderm & used the foam in-between.... I've also just got some Leucillin antiseptic spray, which i spray underneath him before we go out, then wipe him down & spray him again when home. He's 98% clear of his hives now. I'll keep him on pavement walks for a while, too Try Clorexyderm shampoo & Clorexyderm foam for between baths. The shampoo needs to stay on the skin for a min of 10 minutes for it to take effect. It's brilliant stuff & others I've recommended it to have said the same... one persons dog's feet started to clear within a day. But it looks like your boy may take a bit longer... the Leucillin Spray is fast acting, won't sting & is soothing too Good luck

NanaSag84

I've been thinking it might be the beef but my boy is a very picky eater he doesn't like kibble and when I made him salmon once he threw it up

rRizla77

Sorry, this is long...... I'm in the UK, so a few things may be different if you're not, but a Google of ingredients & alternatives will work.....If he doesn't like salmon, try Cod and / or Tuna A friend asked me today what i feed my boy... I'll copy what i messaged her.... sorry, it's a bit of a mishmash. I've just copied the whatsapp messages & put them together. it starts here: Because of his allergies, he has a salmon & sweet potato kibble, I mix in supplements & 100% pumpkin powder with a wet salmon & veg mix & plonk it on top of the kibble. I also used to add a bit of salmon oil, but now mainly Premium Omega Oil For Dogs, High in Omega 3, 6 & 9, Hemp Oil, Flax & 100% Pure, in his kibble. He has veggie treats, buffalo & camel treat too... all other meat proteins he has problems with. He can't have chicken, turkey, beef, venison etc, (any game really), but the occasional cooked egg is good. It took nearly 2 years to get him right. It cost a fortune at the vets, testing, etc He's also atopic, so anything like grasses, environmental stuff can set him off... He's on Simpsons Premium Sensitive Adult Salmon & sweet potato kibble & the wet food I use to mix his supplements in is Forthglade Salmon With Potato & Vegetables Natural Wet Dog Food Because he has anal gland problems (they didn't empty fully), I add the pure human grade pumpkin powder (i use it too to thicken stews, soups etc), Dorwest Tree Barks Powder & Dorwrst Keepers Mix. Oh & his antihistamines when he needs them. All that gets mixed with the wet food, I use a 6th of each tray. he was at the vets every 3-4 weeks to have his anal glands emptied. He's not been now for about a year... but he still sits if he sees someone put a rubber glive on 😂... once you get him clear, try & slowly introduce one protein at a time & see what he's good with. i really do recommend the Clorexyderm, though. And good luck... keep us informed on how you both get on. PS. Before anyone on here has a go at me about feeding part kibble & not raw, he didn't do well on raw at all & I will & do everything I can to keep him happy & healthy!!! Raw is not always best

rRizla77

This was my boy's skin from the fields he played in Fri through Sunday last week. He's now 98% cleared up, still a few lumpy hives on his back, but his underneath is now clear https://preview.redd.it/banko3ir5n6d1.png?width=1440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d23272f772a638c05d3ead3f069d130a4e4f887b

Outcast_Outlaw

Change up the food. Stop giving chicken, pork, and beef. Try fish for a few weeks and see if that helps. If it does and the spots clear up, then try one food type at a time. For immediate relief get douxo S3 pyo foam to spot clean and then douco calm spray to help alleviate the itch. The douxo brand have a shampoo as well and you should bathe your doggo once/twice a week. You can also add mushroom matrix canine powder into the food for skin&coat seasonal allergies.

NanaSag84

I had a feeling it might be the beef but he's a picky eater and I know for sure he's allergic to lamb and chicken. How do you make the fish for yours?

Outcast_Outlaw

Open Farm raw mix wild ocean recipe. For kibble Open Farm wild caught salmon rustic stew. For wet food Trader Joe's wild caught unsalted sardines in spring water. For a mix option of wet/kibble. But I'd suggest starting with 1 at first and not the entire can.

Outrageous-Divide472

Have you had him tested for allergies? My bully has food (beef, chicken, rice, and more. the list is really long) and environmental allergies. You could be inadvertently giving him food he’s allergic to. Bully’s can also take Zyrtec twice a day.

Eff-0ff

1/2 listerine 1/2 water spray

Ohana_Girl22

I second this, but I also add baby soap and white vinegar, it works amazing.

pitbull17

My pit is on apequel for a grass allergy, it looks lime this when he has an outbreak. Bullies are bad about getting grass allergies. I'm about to get bloodwork done to narrow down the specific grass type to specifically treat it.

DifficultAd7053

It’s probably an environmental allergy, topical CBD / hemp ointment did wonders for my baby’s dermatitis, as did removing all corn and wheat from his diet. Bullies are very sensitive to grain but they do need some form for fiber from time to time — maybe try adding a little brown rice to your formula and see how yours does? I feel like brown rice has had an anti-inflammatory effect for mine.  Also, remove the red pepper — bullies should not have nightshades (pepper, tomatoes, eggplant) in their diet

Logical-Cat3797

My Shepard Pit mix has an autoimmune condition that affects his skin pretty badly in the summer, and my Shepsky is allergic to wheat, 7 types of grass, fleas, and silicone. For prevention what works best for us is TropiClean's OxyMed Anti Itch shampoo and then their treatment one as like a conditioner. We bathe them once every 3 months, but once a month during summer. Some allergy/immune support or skin/coat treats will help bunches, too. Maybe wipe them down with some water wipes or pet wipes if they've been rolling in the grass all day before going to bed. We also have an anti bacterial anti fungal shampoo I'll use in cases they really need it. But if you're tight on money, any dog oatmeal shampoo you get will still be great. I'd start off once a week, then 2 weeks, then monthly, then every 3 months. This will help you know if its working, and will help get a good control on it. I wish you luck and hope your baby feels better soon 💚

angcorgill1

That looks like allergies like my baby has. You can give Benadryl to help. But definitely have allergy test done. My baby ended up having a food allergy

https://youtu.be/IkLfoR0_V8Y?si=UK4x9bGKl7mZEQla I use the first mixture in the video and haven't had anymore problems with skin

SwordfishSimple6544

Try coconut oil, my dog used to get the same thing . I also had to change her food , she became allergic to chicken or chicken meal in these dog foods , I started giving her a raw food diet of liver , mixed vegetables brown rice and chicken breast. There are a lot of different pit bull / American bully channels on YouTube that may give you some tips . Every a baking soda / apple cider vinegar bath is good for removing fungal infections on skin and nails . Definitely check out YouTube channels.

R0598

One of my bullies get breakouts on his back when it get flares up we make sure to bath him at least once a week and my dad brushes his with a little bit of baby powder he seems to like it lol

NorthernOverlander

We had the same problem with our rescue. It took a lot of research, trials and finally found something that works. Bee pollen, bovine colostrum and Turkey tail mushroom. It’s all natural and it works. It super boosts the immune system.

gin_calamansi

Bravecto + Mycocide

Efficient_Umpire_263

Banix

Nightsong1005

Zesty Paws allergy and immune supplements from Amazon. Helped out my itchy Labs a great deal.

cgraves77

Get Natural Dog Company Skin Soother (Amazon) it’s worth every penny. Apply every night until cleared up. Bathe weekly

Wide_Ordinary4078

I’m going to tell you this is hormonal! Nothing you do topically will help until you change their food. My dog was allergic to everything literally could only have duck, lamb, whitefish and kangaroo. He would constantly lose his hair anytime a new allergy appeared. The food they make now a days is so bad for animals. If you can afford to cook their own food to for the week that may help.

Great-Web5881

baby shampoo and coconut cream

Great-Web5881

Try Dr. Harvey,s dog food with a protien added can be canned dog food.

HighlightSorry2094

I have 2 females , and it looks like food allergies, both are on Royal Canin ultamino which is a prescription food. We also use Apequel(?) or they make a 1 a month shot. Some of the dermatological foods are only rice and eggs. So even fresh food could be an issue. I hope you were forewarned about all the issues Bullies can have. Good luck!

HighlightSorry2094

Limited food choices will require daily vitamins to maintain health

Several_Goose1940

My bully's are very prone to sensitive skin and ears, my vet gave me the okay to give them Claritin, as antihistamine aren't bad for dogs, and they're a lot better off!

unfoldingtourmaline

i'd cut the red pepper, whitefish and yogurt just in case of nightshade, seafood or dairy allergy. i use duoxo s3 shampoo and mousse. also a cytopoint injection really helped. might also need antibiotics since it may have gotten to the infection stage. also may hve to cone if pups is scratching/chewing

unfoldingtourmaline

also if you want to parendown even more i use KOHA beef limited ingredient diet. it will be only beef and pumpkin (and a tiny bit of mussels-shellfish alert) but also have the vitamin and minerals dogs need.

1BadNana58

My pitties are highly allergic to chicken! Two different vets told us that pitties and chicken just don’t work.

nurse-n-solo-w-2

There’s some stuff called NU-STOCK … It’s usually at your local farm store. It’s used for horses cows and bullies. Anyways… long story short I forgot to give my bully his fleas pill by a few weeks and he started to get them he’s highly allergic so it doesn’t take long. They itch til it bleeds it’s horrible. Get that NUSTOCK… and I would suggest putting some mixed with cocoa butter.. or a little baby oil to thin it… run it on the spots that you want it is good for their coats …. And for all kinds of different stuff… but I swear by this. https://preview.redd.it/yru4x2o5pr6d1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=eed28210de55f81b579e0961a18a58e9812b1616 Hope this helps your fur baby… PS… pet supply stores do not carry it. It’s going to be like a tractor supply or something like that. Good luck

AlphaYetii

Probably something they’re eating - mine is allergic to chicken

Augi17

My dog had to get a shot, only happened once but I know she had allergies and when I got back home from work she was bloody. It was an allergy. She looked awful but after a few days she started looking better.

HeathenHoneyCo

I think you might be giving too many different types of food. It will be very difficult to nail down a food allergy multiple proteins and vegetables. And remember it takes 6-8 weeks for food eliminations to take effect, so if you eliminate the beef, wait two months and see what happens. Also I would try to stick to one shampoo, preferably medicated. Keep it simple and give it time, too many changes too fast and he’ll be stuck in the inflammation cycle.

HeathenHoneyCo

I have a silver bully pocket pit and we have to do very small incremental changes. My instinct is to throw the kitchen sink at him when he’s flared up and miserable, but I’ve had more success with just changing one thing and waiting
