I have the front room as a living room woth a few decorations (cat tower, cat, frog chair, etc. The essentials y'know). I 2nd the music player and gyroids. I'm currently chilling watching then go crazy to different tunes

Here is what i did with the area idk about your house design though (ty for the shoe idea though)
I always put the functional stuff in that main room to save time. Workbench, wardrobe, bed, toilet, kitchen cooking thing, music player, etc. I leave the proper decorations to the other rooms I'll only ever be in for villager tours.
I did an entry way using partition walls and columns and then a living room beyond it
Gyroids with music box, that is if you don’t have a Gyroid room, yet.
I dont but I don’t have more than one I was thinking of some kind of entry room where you put your shoes and stuff
That’s also a good idea, I put couch and central table by the entrance and my Gyroid room is on the left side of the entrance.

I put all my gyroids in my upstairs room and also made it a game room as well.
