Tatsu is a good boi who works hard.
I love the criminal and dark language only to express something light and wholesome.
I love how he can be intimidated by his wife and how much he loves and supports her.
I love how he takes so much pride being a househusband.
I just finished watching it, after a different person asked for recs and this was suggested. It’s horribly funny but I can see it’s not for everyone. But I did laugh at its over the top perverted-ness and objectivity.
For sure. And dub is the way to go, anyone who says sub is better is a misguided snob who doesn't think before they speak. Why do I say this? Because inflection and timing are essential to comedy, and that's very, very true for the narrator of Kaguya-sama. How the hell are you picking up on that by reading words that are an approximation (because that's what a translation is) while hearing a language that you don't understand the structure and vocabulary of? Sad is sad, angry is angry. Comedy is nuanced. Derp.
I heavily preferred sub for Love is war like i do with most anime. the only dubs i watched were Dbz, Baki and Death note. i just personally don’t like dubs
100 girlfriends who really really really really really love you
If you’ve watched a lot of anime and are familiar with the tropes it’s very funny. Just make sure to watch it alone…and don’t think too much…
I don't know what is funniest, but my recomendation:
1. Asobi Asobase
2. Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou
3. Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki kun
4, Nichijou
5. Konosuba
Oresuki, Konosuba, Golden Kamuy, Angel Beats, Charlotte, Full Metal Panic, Spy x Family, The Devil is A Part-Timer! (Only S1), The Eminence in Shadow, Toradora!
Grand Blue and Barakamon were pretty fun to me, sometimes they made me spit due to sudden jokes or faces. Baka to test was also pretty funny. Gintama and Beelzebub if you want really long ones.
Daily lives of highschool boys if you like dry humor at times or gags, doesn't really follow a story, just random moments of their daily lives(ahah got the joke..?)
Nichijou also pretty up there, it all comes down to your type of humor but these all made me laugh
Grand blue dreaming was pretty funny to me a lot of comedy anime’s are very repetitive which I find predictable and boring. In Grand blue dreaming you never know what’s going to happen.
Cromartie, for those that love obserdity played seriously.
Nichijou, for those that love the relatable dialed up to 11... thousand.
Bobobo, for those that don't care if it doesn't make sense
The Way of the Househusband
Golden Kamuy
Spy x Family
Wind Breaker
The Daily Life of the Immortal King
Cherry Magic!
Yuri on Ice
One Punch Man
The Devil is a Part-Timer
Not a comedy but I think Yu Yu Hakusho makes me laugh the most out of any battle shounen. I love how corny it is and the chemistry between Orge and Koenma is just too good. Not to mention Kuwabara and Botan are quite funny too.

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure
I’ve watched many shows, few have gotten me to truly laugh. Watching JoJo made me laugh uncontrollably many times over. (Jotaro vs Justice was a notable time)
Saiki K and The way of the house husband or whatever it’s called. Fruits Basket as well has a lot of genres in it but has some great comedy into it and a lot of it! (Fruits Basket is my favourite anime)
Keiju
It's a female only sports anime. They can only use two parts of their bodies to attack. No legs or fists to give you a hint. It's obscure yet entertaining. There is nothing revealing but may not be suited for some.
Vampire dies in no time, Ghost stories Dub, the way of the house husband, Saiki K, Me & Roboco.
There’s probably more that I’ve seen but those are the only ones I can remember atm 😅
I’m shocked no one mentioned
Hayate the Combat Butler
Hinamatsuri
Himouto! Umaru-Chan
Haven’t you heard I’m Sakamoto?
Wagnaria (otherwise known as Working) (one of my favs)
Chio-chans school road!
Asobi-Asobase
I think KonoSuba and Kaguya Sama have both given me the hardest laughs, and the most frequent.
Spy Family is up there too, but perhaps hasn't quite made me laugh as hard as those other two, even if the laughs were very constant
Plastic nee san. Or Plastic elder sister. 1 episode only funny as hell. This and Konosuba series. I am a guy who never watches comedy anime but these had me rolling
I don't like comedy anime BUT there's a couple anime shows I've seen that have comedy on their slice of life parts: Major and Hajime no Ippo. Yes, they're both about sports, but hear me out.
These aren't the typical sports anime where absolutely everything revolves around the sport they play, like Captain Tsubasa or Kuroko no Basket. Major and Hajime no Ippo are great at fleshing out characters outside their sport, you will see them struggling with their personal lives, love, failures, school, everything. That gives room to very smooth comedic moments, I honestly laughed so much watching these two shows because of their interactions outside of the field. It's pure organic comedy, not "comedy anime bs". It's things that could easily happen in your own real life with your real friends while hanging out.

Disastrous Life of Saiki K.
Prison School
Love is War
(If I sandwich *that* one between the two normal ones, maybe I can get someone to watch it without scarint them away with a description of the anime)
It isn't the funniest but I have a sweet spot for Space Dandy. Some of the wacky shit that happens always gets me. Specifically the episode where he meets all the failed Space Dandy concepts.
Kaguya-sama (Ranked as my fourth favorite anime/manga/manhwa)
Ouran High School Host Club (16th favorite)
Romantic Killer (17th favorite)
My Bride is a Mermaid
The Way of the Househusband
Ghost Stories (dub)
The Greatest Estate Developer (manhwa. Doesn't have an anime. 3rd favorite)
The hardest I've ever laughed was at the 'wind' bit in Daily Life of High School Boys. I have no idea why because no one else seems to think it's that funny. Other than that, the anime is okay.
SpongeBob Square Pants. Although it's short and created by a youtuber, the voice acting and art is sick and close to what it would look like if SBSP was an anime. Lol
Nice comedies:
The Hero is Over Powered but Overly Cautious! A powerful hero is summoned to defeat a demon lord, but he has a an overly cautious personality. Very funny. He launches Ultimate attacks at the first monster he sees in the world, a low level slime. Fun.
Level 1 Demon Lord and One Room Hero Ten years after his defeat at the hands of the hero, the Demon Lord resurrects. He rushes off to confront the hero, only to find the hero is a has been living in a dirty studio apartment
Konosuba A team of awful adventurers have wacky hijinks. I don't mean unskilled, but awful in terms of their personalities. Highly rated and critically acclaimed
Reincarnated as the 7th Prince Magic-obsessed weak sorcerer dies and is reincarnated as royalty. Very funny with lots of fan series and battles
Combatants Will be Dispatched Minion from an evil organization is sent to an Isekai to create a bridgehead for possible invasion. Bad guy with a secret heart of gold. Fairly funny
Suicide Squad Isekai The Suicide Squad from DC comics is sent to another world
Mob Psycho 100, One Punch Man, Saiki K, and maybe Pop Team Epic depending on the type of person you are. (BACK STREET GIRLS: GOKUDOLS IS FUCKING LEGENDARY BTW)
'One Punch Man.' It's not super short, but the episodes fly by because it's just so entertaining. The humor is spot-on, poking fun at superhero tropes. Saitama's deadpan reactions to everything are hilarious, and the supporting characters add so much to the comedy.
Kore wa zom des ka? Its kinda trash, but for whatever reason the humor, the personalities for tge characters and the story hits in a way thats so much better then it should have any right being.
Life Lessons with Uramichi Oniisan is one of the most slept on anime comedies of all time. It's like if Blues Clues and Bojack Horseman had a baby. The dub is phenomenonal!
Ghost Stories Dub
“THINK OF A BIG BLACK MAN CHASING YOU” “AHHHUUUUUUGHHHHHHHHHHHH” “Well at least he’s not racist”
"Not because you're a rabbit, but because you're black"

I laughed so hard at that i started crying (im black btw) the mcs little brother is so me i love him hes a fucking idiot <3
I still gotta watch it😔 how many eps is it?
Same😭😭.
“principals always look like lesbians”
"moooom? No way"
I make it a priority to watch it every October each year, 10/10.
Konosuba
It's like an Its Always Sunny isekai it's hilarious
Gintama is the funniest. But it's definitely not short. Nanbaka is also really funny. And it's considerably shorter.
The Way Of The Househusband and Delicious in Dungeon. Spy Family has really funny moments too
The Way of The Househusband is so under appreciated. I watched the series of the 3rd time this week. I wish there were more seasons!
So true! Its so silly and unserious. Tatsu is the best lol
Tatsu is a good boi who works hard. I love the criminal and dark language only to express something light and wholesome. I love how he can be intimidated by his wife and how much he loves and supports her. I love how he takes so much pride being a househusband.
LOL “I need some of that good white stuff”
There’s a live action based on the character, but without the rest of the story, that is pretty entertaining. Very short episodes
Prison School
I was thinking this exact same thing but i forgot the name
I just finished watching it, after a different person asked for recs and this was suggested. It’s horribly funny but I can see it’s not for everyone. But I did laugh at its over the top perverted-ness and objectivity.
The soap scene…
Thats crazy
Saiki K
💯
Pfp checks out
Came here to mention Saiki K !
Not sure if it was the funniest but I always loved Monthly Girl's Nozaki-kun. A short 12 episode series though the manga is longer.
I don’t know how they made that shit soo funny, but it’s deffo underrated in the humor department.
Great teacher onizuka
Kaguya sama love is war
In Dub. Whis/ Brook VA does an amazing job
For sure. And dub is the way to go, anyone who says sub is better is a misguided snob who doesn't think before they speak. Why do I say this? I love this one. When the principal....*meets* the deer in the quad, I thought my gummy was too strong.
Desert Punk
Now THAT is a cultured response
Thanks. I laughed my ass off through almost every episode. The dubbing is pretty spot on, too!
Brooo I forgot about desert punk, that show was pretty funny!

Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt is only 13 episodes and is one of my favorites. It's a Gainax anime too.
daily lives of highschool boys
Why is this sooo far down?
Food wars
100 girlfriends who really really really really really love you If you’ve watched a lot of anime and are familiar with the tropes it’s very funny. Just make sure to watch it alone…and don’t think too much…

asobi asobase is so underrated !!
I laughed a lot at Dr. Stone (the characters are almost all a bit extra in one way or another and the animation is fantastic).
Ranma 1/2 is a classic comedy. Tons of episodes too.
Oresuki, Konosuba, Golden Kamuy, Angel Beats, Charlotte, Full Metal Panic, Spy x Family, The Devil is A Part-Timer! (Only S1), The Eminence in Shadow, Toradora!
Angel Beats and Charlotte funny? The man asked to laugh, not cry 😭
Bocchi the Rock!
Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo
Golden Boy
This is the correct answer
Some of the funniest shit I ever saw came from golden boy, especially the dub.
literally only opened thjs post to make sure someone commented it
Grand Blue and Barakamon were pretty fun to me, sometimes they made me spit due to sudden jokes or faces. Baka to test was also pretty funny. Gintama and Beelzebub if you want really long ones.
