Do they like animals? The creature conservancy is pretty neat. Games? BIG (Best in games) (fun, but $$$), the botanical garden and/or the arb are beautiful. Foodies? Well that's it's own rabbit hole.
Rollercoasters? Go to Cedar Point.
I totally understand recommending CP - obviously, it's americas roller coast and we are spoiled being so close to it - but it's at least a 2 Dr drive both ways and ain't cheap (gas + tix + food)
Rolling Hills water park for wave pool and big slides. Looks sunny on Saturday. It’s pretty inexpensive as a count park. One could also picnic outside the pool area too.
This place is pretty cool too. Not well known, kind of cozy with the animal selection dependent on what they are rescuing at the time. We’ve not been disappointed.

A little bit of a drive, but Selfridge ANGB in Harrison Twp is doing their annual open house and air show. The Thunderbirds from the USAF will be performing. I am almost certain it is a free event.

The museums in Ann Arbor and Ypsi are good choices.
The Ann Arbor Greek Festival is this weekend. $5 entry. Proceeds end up going to local nonprofits.
Solid suggestion. Great food, good music - I’m not Greek and always have a fun.

Shakespeare in the park is going on this weekend!
Ypsi pride on June 7 from 5 pm to 10 pm.
Motor city pride! It's a drive but it would be fun for the kids I'm sure.
Is it warm enough and good weather for tubing at the Cascades? Free if you have a tube.
