Sex dungeon...well closet...with mirrored film on window to have the feeling of being watched when smooshed up against it....or Potions and poisons room. Brew homemade absinthe.
We moved our daughter to her own room when she was about 2 (her room was downstairs and our room is upstairs, I wanted to wait until she was older to move her). She insisted on hauling her toys, one by one, to the new room. It was pretty entertaining, although it took sooooo long to do. She's 11 now, and that stubbornness is still going strong.
I'm a nanny. You'd be surprised at how common "put the baby in the walk in closet" is. 😂 Keeps them close enough, but yet far enough away that you don't wake up at every tiny newborn noise.
I think the baby also sleeps a little better when they can't hear every little thing, too.
But yeah, I've known more than a few parents who use the walk in as a temporary nursery. It's perfect!
I hope it helps you have a better time of it this go round!
We called it the clursery (closet nursery) and he loooved that space. It fit his crib and a dresser. He didn’t want to move out when he was about two, and during the pandemic, he had us put his full size mattress in his bedroom’s walk
In closet—he wanted a very cozy space again.
Or a mini music studio to cook up some tasty beats. Or any sort of creative space for that matter, drawing, painting, writing etc , this little space would be a cosy getaway.
ive always wanted a relaxing spot/reading nook- this would be the perfect spot! maybe a loveseat or something would fit in there, and the. you can put a million pillows blankets etc in there and go there to decompress or be alone, maybe a blackout curtain and some cheap led strips so you can change the lighting when needed, but i do deal with migraines sometimes so thats part of that reasoning for me
I would use it for storage. I always need more storage space, especially for seasonal decorations like my Christmas tree and decorations, Fall/Halloween decor, etc.
I used to use our large walk-in closet for an office since I wfh and we didn't have an extra room for an office at the time! At least this one has a window! 😁
I think you could fit 250 to 300 cans of Campbells homestyle chicken noodle soup in there. Could even call it your soup room if you’d like. Up to you tho. Hope this helps.
This space just says reading/calm down area to me. Perfect amount of shelving for books, snacks, a small light. There looks like theres enough area on floor to lay down some layers of blankets, a few pillows, mini trash can. If you put anything in there that will add moisture, I would definitely use a humidifier and open the window occasionally for air circulation. Even when the door is open.
Turn it into an ultra VIP room. Set up a nice chair, end table, some lights. Then rope it off with velvet and tell people it’s so VIP that nobody, even you, is allowed to enter. Impress your friends.
I'm mentally filling it with my own stuff - all the five-gallon water jugs, the ironing board and vacuum cleaner I have to unload a whole closet to get to, extra holiday decorations, my wedding dress which has been in a box for 25 years, all the beach chairs.
If you can maybe try to get it costumed built to make use of the space effectively.
If you don’t need the extra closet storage then listen to the other suggestions
Turn it into a space to get ready for the day/take off the day. You could store yoga mats, build a meditation space, include a reading chair, small bookcase, hang some plants, and even store a kettle for tea. I would add a vanity table in front of the window to store skincare products and makeup.
Computer/clothes is the obvious answer..the small space would be perfect for noise consolation for your mic. Or you can get an old time typewriter and write a novel...buy yourself one of those detective pipes and just rest it on a desk in the room.
That's a nice window there. I would get ride of the shelves on one side, add a small loveseat. Really any comfy, but low in height chair. Add a small bookshelf and some house plants. Got a nice little Sunday morning chill space.
If it were me, I have a HUGE collection if Funko Pops. This would be display area. Frankly, the carpet doesn't do it for me. I'd pull it up and have a much easier to clean floor.
Easy. I would get a skinny tapestry for the window. Put a hook on the walnso you can "draw" it open. Then, put a bench or comfy chair in front of it. A small table with some storage that could double for nail polish or hot curlers. Those always take up too much room in my bathroom.
I got my tapestry at Amazon. There are cool velvet chairs and tables at Wayfair.
I too have a massive closet like this. I currently have a desk and computer with a mini fridge and 32 inch tv.
But in the past it has been kinda a quiet reading nook. Few comfy bean bag chairs. Some dimmable/color lights. Couple oversized stuffed animals and a real animal. Good spot.
Yes we used to use YouTube kids but during the pandemic, my ex (dad,) on a laptop and she was fascinated by it and accidentally learned about the regular YouTube abc kept asking for videos on that (the unpublished ones) I'll have to check it out again a d see if there's good new stuff. They only have the published stuff though. Initially she wanted like the self made toy videos which are fine but watching those, these reality shows popped up after.
Usually the standard for a “bedroom” is if the room has a window and a closet in it. 10 of the 10 giant property management companies in my city would actually list this as a bedroom. 💀
I feel like you should settle into the apartment first and then you’ll be able to figure out what you need.
I’d personally put a full dressing and makeup room in there. All my clothes and makeup, stored neatly in one space - that’s the dream.
Bought as in you own it? If so I'd take the shelving down and make it an office with a small desk, or nicer shelving and an armchair for a mini library. May want to leave one utility shelf up high for extra storage though- apartments can fill up fast when you don't have a garage or attic! Extra linens, board games, keepsakes, seasonal items, etc.
That'd definitely turn into a smoke spot/chill spot. Especially if I had somewhere else for clothes. I'd throw a TV in there, my stereo system, my collection of pieces.
Some plants would be a nice touch. 🌱
I see a tree plant and a throw rug in that small space. Throw rug could be a combined color or neutral or blocks of colors .
Yes, and maybe a big vase in the space in the corner.
I would get something with one pop of color although the dark grey is nice. A pop of color like light yellows and white with grays. The monochrome colors with black and white grayscale green or yellows. Along either the whites and grey could look nice clean and easy on the eyes. If you like that kinda stuff I think 🧐 I would look great .
I have kind of a large closet too. I have a large mirror under the rack on one side (comes in clutch let me tell you), a storage box of extra linens, a piano keyboard (didn’t really have a better place for it) and a large wooden chest.
i would personally turn it into a reading/doodle nook with a beanbag chair, blanket, and a lamp. books/decor on the shelves, bring my tablet in there. cozy time.
Man, I’m jealous. This would make an amazing room for my sports card collection.
Other thoughts - a meditation/zen room. Personal space for a pet. Grow room.
Clothes?
And a "not dirty but worn" clothes chair.
Must have!
There we go
In a closet? Discontinue the lithium
well it's set up for clothes, but I'd have a reading nook :)
This was my initial thought as well. A small home library.
Could also add some plants on those shelves!!! And set up a cute chair on the right side! Such a cute reading nook idea !
Turn it into a secret lair
a.. secret lair for what?
To grow mushrooms…. Or anything else you want secret lol
r/shrooms is leaking
Why, to take over the world, of course....
Same thing we do every night, Pinky😈
Omgggg nostalgia 🤣
Reading? Casting spells? Whatever you like.
Batcave? Your very own Batcave! Duh.🙄
.... it's a secret.
For secrets, duh
Sex dungeon...well closet...with mirrored film on window to have the feeling of being watched when smooshed up against it....or Potions and poisons room. Brew homemade absinthe.
We don't know, it's secret.
A disappointments room.
Surely the kids already have bedrooms.
Yooooo 💀
Yeha but this is for when they aren't up to par.
HAHA 😆 you just made me choke
Absolutely crying laughing😂😂😂 caught me way off guard😂😂😂
I must be in a mood… I fully expected this. Kinda hoped for worse.
That’s foul 💀
I turned my walk in into a space for our newborn 😅 once she moves out I’m putting a vanity and my makeup and stuff where she used to be
My goofy ass pictured a baby packing a suitcase and getting ready to evacuate the premise 🤣🤦🏼♀️
Lol aww that's adorable. I'm stubborn as hell to but if my mom reminds me I ask her where the heck she thinks I got it 🤣
Oh my daughter got it from me. I'll never deny it. And, it will serve her well.
That part is true! When I'm not annoying my mom she's grateful I won't be pushed around or give in if it's not the right thing to do for me lol
I'm a nanny. You'd be surprised at how common "put the baby in the walk in closet" is. 😂 Keeps them close enough, but yet far enough away that you don't wake up at every tiny newborn noise.
That’s exactly my reasoning! My first child triggered incredibly intense anxiety and depression due to all of the noises so I’m trying to combat it!
I think the baby also sleeps a little better when they can't hear every little thing, too. But yeah, I've known more than a few parents who use the walk in as a temporary nursery. It's perfect! I hope it helps you have a better time of it this go round!

You do have a fan for circulation, right? I hadn’t heard until fairly recently about closets being a health risk for SIDS.
My closet has AC and an air purifier
She’s not ready to move out yet! At least let her stay during college! 😂
Are there any electrical outlets in that closet? If yes, that would make a great home office.
You could easily run an extension in there.
They usually don't have any air vents, so it would get really hot, especially for electronics. You'd definitely need a fan.
My closet has a vent, ya never know!
Or a mini music studio to cook up some tasty beats. Or any sort of creative space for that matter, drawing, painting, writing etc , this little space would be a cosy getaway.
My wife and I have a lotta clothes, so that just looks like a decent closet...
We have one of these awkwardly large closets too. We keep our reptiles in here, lol. I think it'd be nice for plants if you leave the blinds open!
ooo what kind?
We keep a corn snake, sand boa, rainbow boa, fire skinks & crocodile skink in a room/closet thingy this size just about.
Miniature art gallery
Eventually you will have so much junk that the door for that closet won’t be able to close. I promise!!!!!
Ummm this is called a closet - you store clothes, sundry items Or you could sound proof it and keep your boyfriend chained in there as your sex slave
ive always wanted a relaxing spot/reading nook- this would be the perfect spot! maybe a loveseat or something would fit in there, and the. you can put a million pillows blankets etc in there and go there to decompress or be alone, maybe a blackout curtain and some cheap led strips so you can change the lighting when needed, but i do deal with migraines sometimes so thats part of that reasoning for me
or one of those big bean bags!
I would use it for storage. I always need more storage space, especially for seasonal decorations like my Christmas tree and decorations, Fall/Halloween decor, etc.
Might not be as big as it looks once your clothes are in there. I moved my dresser into mine as well to free up some bedroom space
Indoor herb garden
I would do a makeup vanity and make it like a get ready area with purses on the shelf and add a shoe storage thing
Create a dog cave for your pupper. My dog would absolutely love this closet as her alone time lol.
we dont have a dog :(
I guess your only option is to go adopt a dog. They are patiently waiting for you. Don't let them down :).
Then a cat room...obviously. And if you lack a cat....then go get a pet.
There's time to fix that.
Fetish dungeon? 🤣
Why wouldn't you just put your clothes in there?
i don't have alot of clothing to fill up the entire thing. plus there's space up high to put everything so i still have the empty space.
Ah gotcha, I had to choose my apt due to how large the closet was because I have too much clothes and shoes.
Angry Dome!
Reddit: a reading nook! How serene :) This person: ANGRY DOME 😡
I would love to have an actual reading nook, but I think my Angry Dome would get more use...
Imagine a closet with a window.. like who came up with this bright idea?
This space just says reading/calm down area to me. Perfect amount of shelving for books, snacks, a small light. There looks like theres enough area on floor to lay down some layers of blankets, a few pillows, mini trash can. If you put anything in there that will add moisture, I would definitely use a humidifier and open the window occasionally for air circulation. Even when the door is open.
A plant that needs however much sunlight that area gives off every day?
If outlets, then micro office
maybe a dresser on the right side and a shoe rack on the floor of the left side? I know a cat would go crazy over this closet
Turn it into an ultra VIP room. Set up a nice chair, end table, some lights. Then rope it off with velvet and tell people it’s so VIP that nobody, even you, is allowed to enter. Impress your friends.
My jealousy.
Armory for the coming Zombie Apocalypse.
I live in an apartment with no closets. I would use it for a closet, lol
Storage. I find it much easier to keep my place clean when I have a walk in closet
I'm mentally filling it with my own stuff - all the five-gallon water jugs, the ironing board and vacuum cleaner I have to unload a whole closet to get to, extra holiday decorations, my wedding dress which has been in a box for 25 years, all the beach chairs.
Lose the shelves and put 2 pinball machines in there
That's be my mycology room.
Costume closet! Put some film on that window to prevent sunlight from lightening your fabrics.
Well since it’s a closet… probably clothes. Though I hear skeletons are sometimes hidden in there too
If you can maybe try to get it costumed built to make use of the space effectively. If you don’t need the extra closet storage then listen to the other suggestions
If you have any pets you could make it into their little area lol
Drugs?
Shoes
Shoes

Whatever your Lil heart desires:)
Clothes!
clothes, but if you don’t need the closet space i’d use it as a cozy reading nook
Has a window so some sort of plants could work against it
Computer/clothes is the obvious answer..the small space would be perfect for noise consolation for your mic. Or you can get an old time typewriter and write a novel...buy yourself one of those detective pipes and just rest it on a desk in the room.
It’s a walk in closet
Clothes
Marijuana plants
Woah, that's a spacious NYC style efficiency you got there. $2100/mo.
That's a nice window there. I would get ride of the shelves on one side, add a small loveseat. Really any comfy, but low in height chair. Add a small bookshelf and some house plants. Got a nice little Sunday morning chill space.
The souls of the dammed.
Tough, call. I'd go with clothes though. That or a cotton candy machine.
time out with a dunce chair and hat
A mannequin so that you scare the absolute fuck out of yourself every time you open the door and see a partially silhouetted figure
It's a closet. Put your clothes and stuff in it. If you're worried about the window, a single blackout curtain panel will cost you about $20.
It's a closet.
Usually clothes 🤷♀️
Clothes?
This is a closet. It’s a good place to hang your clothes and keep your shoes
A library.
PLANTS!!!!!!
A reading nook for me
Dresser with plant
Obviously for clothes, but really a pop culture collector display room would be ideal
I love that there is a window in your closet. Jealous. Enjoy.
If it were me, I have a HUGE collection if Funko Pops. This would be display area. Frankly, the carpet doesn't do it for me. I'd pull it up and have a much easier to clean floor.
Your hopes and dreams, in a nice pot with enough soil. Keep the blinds open and be sure to water them and hope they grow.
I'd make a wee library and reading book since you don't have a dog.
If it were me I’d use it as a closet/storage and put a nice plant(s) in the window!
Mirror
Plants!
A plant
I had a room like this and I made a meditation room
Random cups filled with the blood of your enemies...? I don't know!😂
Gasp, it's the perfect size for (insert random hobby) room!
I'm gonna need you to remove those selves and install a window seat and built in shelving units for a library/book nook
Lawn chair and a mini fridge
A cat tree
This is my reptile room, lol.
If you have a pet , I would make it a room for them lowkey 🤣
An alter to the landlord gods

obviously it's a man cave , we all know the wife rules the roost.
I feel like you should settle into the apartment first and then you’ll be able to figure out what you need. I’d personally put a full dressing and makeup room in there. All my clothes and makeup, stored neatly in one space - that’s the dream.
Plants!!!
Depending on the direction of that window, and if other people can see in when the blinds are open, I'd fill that window with plants.
You need a few cats.

Got a magical nephew that you hate? This could be an upgrade for him!
Home office? Put a desk on the right & turn the shelves in there into cool displays for a nice zoom background if you have video calls.
Honestly, I would use the left side for all of the seasonal clothes. The right side, I’d put a vanity In There and use it as a makeup area.
Taxidermy.

Various clothes and hats
A cat
A kid, younger than 11 years old, with magical talent. They’ll get used to it.

U could get a desktop or gaming set up nd put it in there
A desk, a bookshelf, a cozy chair and lots of plants
a desk
I use mine as a closet, but added a vanity table so I could do my makeup in there too.
A stool. It'll make getting dressed easier. Especially the shoes.
A tiny bedroom or office. And clothes.

Creepy mannequin with a backlight.
Hot box room
Some plants would be a nice touch. 🌱 I see a tree plant and a throw rug in that small space. Throw rug could be a combined color or neutral or blocks of colors . A studio
Make sure you have a full length mirror. With that window you can use the natural light to really judge your outfit.
Man, I’m jealous. This would make an amazing room for my sports card collection. Other thoughts - a meditation/zen room. Personal space for a pet. Grow room.
It's a bedroom cab rent it for $700/month
