Luckily, there's this cool thing called a warranty, and Costco also has this cool thing called a return policy, which Lowe's does not. There's a third cool thing called an independent appliance repair service, so OP could take advantage of all 3 and be just fine.
And, you just spent more $ with less guidance.
Congrats on buying your rotisserie chicken and your refrigerator to keep it in at the same place though, expert.
If you have an independent family owned business near you that provides service after the sale, I would go there and ask if they would meet Costco’s price. If they can come within a few hundred dollars, I would buy at the local independent. I work for one and usually we can meet Costco. I could check our costs on those models and let you know if an independent would take the business, I’m away from the computer 🖥️ now though.
I found a highly rated local business in my area but they were $800 more expensive for the suite and didn’t provide service after, but we do have GE and Bosch techs in our area.
Gotcha. Costco does sell at a very very low margin, but usually when our customers ask if we can meet their deal, we can come close enough to make the sale. Did you ask the sales manager? Usually customers will buy from us if we can get close to the price because they know if they need any after sale support at all we’re there, and our installers and delivery team is top notch .
If you have to buy big box, buy Costco for the return policy alone.
If you have an option locally do it. In Arizona, Spencer's is the biggest independent. R&B wholesale is excellent, as is Arizona Appliance & Home. Show them the Costco price. See what they can do. They can usually shrink the difference and work out usually something close.
And no, price isn't the only thing you should shop on. They might have options you haven't considered that could fit the bill. Nothing wrong with what you are looking at, it's a decent set overall.
Just an update that Spencer’s is $400 more than Costco but they offer deeper discounts (plus an opportunity to ask they match Costco) in person. Will be going today or tomorrow. Thanks for the rec!
“I’m going to make a major investment, I think I should buy from one of two places that have no fucking clue, which is a better?”
Appliances are a major investment, you should buy from a place that specializes in them, and really a place that also services them.
You should buy from a self servicing dealer
100% always Costco for large purchases ...especially ones that commonly break/are duds like appliances.
Costco knows just as much about giant hunks of cheese as they do appliances. There could not be a worse place to make a major investment.

Aw, bless your heart. I did really well, myself, and I'm super happy with my choices. Don't care for their chickens, though.
I’m a big fan of local folks with their own service departments and delivery.

You in Maryland, DC, or VA? I manage for an independent dealer and we self service/self install
Unfortunately no! We’re in Arizona
