Better build those suckers fast for your warranty. Got myself a GT3D and already have had two parts warrantied out in just two months of moderate play.
I’m aware of the issues. I like to take things apart and build stuff so I’m good at fixing stuff. I finished building all of them and so far only one pinball machine has a minor issue with the ball launcher.
Nevertheless, Thanks for the advice
I made my movie room a more minimalist version of this same idea. I love the "holy shit, it's a movie theater!" look. Good for OP if he's got the space for it.
True! That’s why the drapes open and close when movie starts.
https://preview.redd.it/suwnwx1d3n3b1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2e8c23f3b32464f56701da249c8dc68bce446887
The gaps between the drapes and not being fully straight on the right corner would drive me insane. Good thing I can't afford any of this.
Nice setup though.
Good eye!
I guess I like to torture myself cause I leave all my projects 97% complete. Every time I notice it I say to myself I’ll do it after I finish some other thing, then I forget to fix it lol
If I had that money I would do the same. I want to have an 80s arcade set up but with 90s machines too. Then across the hall in the other room would be a home theater.
Yes! Got it from Amazon for like 1k, size is 12 feet x 15 feet
https://preview.redd.it/0rhjv92enm3b1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0be2c63db8d73d01f625fce5886ed2b7eeb35781
Too rich for my blood but looks nice!
You're decor strikes me as an odd contrast to a game room.
It looks like you're some kind of small countries prince living in your mom's palace and the Queen and King are getting sick of your shit right about now 😂
That’s the LED drop down star ceiling. 3000 LED’s that twinkle
https://preview.redd.it/jdx38hdj1t3b1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=52cefd4ba20fed66c80cfe1d21800b7cf59a5882
I’d go with the under. I’ve got 19 cabinets and a vpin and all worked and still work out of the box. Actually the vpin went after 6 months and A1U sent me a new PCBA.
All worked. Got a minor issue on the Mars attack pinball. The ball launcher is not working. Been busy with video wall but will look into a fix when I’m done
The movie posters where custom made and designed by me. About $750 in materials for the 4 frames I built. The drapes where also custom made, I went to the fabric district and bought material wholesale. I then hired a seamstress. Cost was about 4K with materials, that was for the side walls and back wall. When close they cover entire wall. This was half the cost vs a company I got a quote from
https://preview.redd.it/9r9g0ew3nm3b1.jpeg?width=1283&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4e0241e1dec66afff04439202e87b3913b2e9f02
Thanks brother. I got the good type of autism, the high functioning one lol. I’m really good with numbers. I’m an overachieving educated hustler who Studied finance. Dip my toes in e-commerce, real estate and finance. You have to learn to spot an opportunity and take advantage of it
I also have high functioning autism. I’m still trying to figure out my career and stuff. I honestly can’t even dream of having half the success you have.
If you want success you have to out work everyone and delay gratification on a lot of things. Study Monday and work for yourself (business owner not employee) if you want to accumulate wealth.
Congrats on the purchases and movie room. My only thought is, "Thats a LOT of money for a bunch of toy arcades." You could literally have real arcade machines or pinball machines for the amount spent here.
Brand new pin is like 15+ you can get some older electro mechanical ones in the 500-2k range working, you can get some late 70s-mid 80s computer board ones in the 2-4k range and every now and then you can score some deals
Thanks for the info. The arcades are mainly going to be played by my 9 yr old. I’m not much of a gamer lol. Went this route for the aesthetic of the room looking like a mini arcade. Might put a real pinball machine in my billiard room in the future
I agree with you, the other guy is probably an expert on pinball machines so fixing old ass machines is second nature. Unfortunately it way out of my budget to spend 5k on one machine. I’m spending that on the entire room
Absolutely no shade on OP at all, but at a certain point I start to think, isn't it just more effective to get one single cab (like a Retrocade, etc) that emulates ALL the games, rather than a dozen different cabs?
Obviously its a different aesthetic, but if I was going to drop that much money on cabs, I'd rather have 1-2 cabs that were "all the games," and then the rest of the cabs would be things harder to emulate - shooters, racing games, DDR, etc. Then not only do you get the variety, but you still have virtually every game you could possibly want to play in an at-home arcade.
I kind of went both ways. Initially I just wanted the KI cab, but then bought Big Blue because KI was underwhelming. Then I bought Ms Pacman for my wife. Then learned about the MVSX and HyloX, and had to get it. Then learned about the ALU and how easy it was to install CoinopsX. I did everything backwards, but I love having a row of machines in my game room.
True and I did take it under consideration. At the end I went with multiple cabs for the aesthetic. If you have the space utilize it lol. Besides I got all cabs on special. An average of 40% off
Such a dope ass setup! So happy for you for real! You're building the best home arcade/theater I've ever seen. Please share pics when you get everything put together.
I don’t do ordinary I do extraordinary lol Working on putting some tv’s up next

Same! I love building things. I only have 1 arcade 1 up and it was fun to put together and mod. Also Lego is a blast to build. That's a cool display case for your star destroyer.
Nice. Approximately how many square feet are you working with? I have about 10 1ups that are unassembled and we’re looking for a new home. Are you doing this in a ranch with a basement? What else do you have planned? Following you for future updates if you decide to post.
It’s a spare bedroom approximately 15 feet x 15 feet. I have 12 cabs. Working on putting up some monitors that will be connected to a water cooled gaming pc that I built

Thanks, mainly building it for my 9 yr old boy. We always have the best time at arcades. This way we get to spend more time together as I’m always busy
Thanks! I went with classical old school theater look

Super cool setup. I have 4 a1up cabs because I keep catching deals but currently have no room to set them up because I am between homes. Hopefully they aren't DOA when I finally get around to building them. I have T2, Killer instinct, simpsons and a asteroids that I replaced with a raspberry pi which runs "most of the games". All I need is a pinball machine and a driving game and I have all the bases covered, unless another great deal pops up and I can't resist. Love that projector screen setup.
In honor of the gorgeous and apropos red velvet and gold motif, I want you to play this track at some point while building this beautiful arcade room !

Decase the Pinball pcb's and also do the a1 pinner mod.....I would do that and just keep one pinball....I have all 90 zen 2 tablesbon my star wars along with 42 pinball arcade tables
Thanks for the advice, however I prefer the look of multiple machines. I also paid like 1k for all 3 pinballs when they where on special. $450 each with a $150 gift card. I purchased some stools with the gift cards :)
Better build those suckers fast for your warranty. Got myself a GT3D and already have had two parts warrantied out in just two months of moderate play.
Money like this guy got ain't worried about warranties, yo.
I’m aware of the issues. I like to take things apart and build stuff so I’m good at fixing stuff. I finished building all of them and so far only one pinball machine has a minor issue with the ball launcher. Nevertheless, Thanks for the advice
It would take me the rest of my life to put those all together lol.
Haha I was thinking similarly… such a mixture of emotions when I see that pic
Dude this looks so cool… please share some after photos! The space you have looks incredible. Would love to see the finished cabs in there
arcade1up seems easy going, they'll probably give him a break if he tells them how much he bought
That looks... excessive.
I blame it on my autism hyper- focus. I always go balls deep or don’t even try lol
Looks awesome! You do you!
Thanks, appreciate it! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I’m proud that it’s All DIY and I paid wholesale prices for materials/ supplies
Weird way to spell "cool as hell."
I wasn't so much talking about the games as I was the room decor.
I made my movie room a more minimalist version of this same idea. I love the "holy shit, it's a movie theater!" look. Good for OP if he's got the space for it.

My previous comment is getting down voted. So just to be clear I think the place looks awesome.
So was I, buddy. I think it looks great. But my opinion isn't the end all be all.

Tell me you're rich without telling... Wait no just shove it down my throat....
I can’t complain lol, better to be lucky than good hahaha
It's 50% who you know not what you know and 50% luck. It's that actual black light arcade carpet in the back? I want that....
Yes! Got it from Amazon for like 1k, size is 12 feet x 15 feet https://preview.redd.it/0rhjv92enm3b1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0be2c63db8d73d01f625fce5886ed2b7eeb35781

cool thanks, may add the curtains to part of the home theater/arcade in my basement
Will you be my new dad/mom?
Congrats on the purchases and movie room. My only thought is, "Thats a LOT of money for a bunch of toy arcades." You could literally have real arcade machines or pinball machines for the amount spent here.
Isn’t a real pinball machines north of 5k. I spent 4K on everything. Besides my money works for me, I don’t work for the money
Who are you??? Teach me.

with pinball basically anything before 1990 is undesirable for most people
Not remotely true
Dare you to be an ‘in box collector.’

Your few things is already larger than my whole arcade haha. Nice setup
Next time you get an itch, gimme a call

Jealousy, it is RISING!

Totally. Super well done.
Thank you so much, much appreciated I independently studied interior design and obsessed with symmetry and esthetics.
Nice haul
A few things? Got a whole arcade in one fell swoop!
I love the aesthetic you're going for in that room! Please post pictures when they're all built, would love to see how they look in there :)
Send one my way. Lol super rad man. Enjoy
Can we be friends.!?
This is the kind of midlife crisis I can get behind.
very cool!
This is literally my dream. I want a home theater with a “lobby” outside with my cabs and a little snack bar set up. Beautiful, I’m super jelly.
With that kind of spenditure....do you wanna adopt a hispanic manchild? Lmfao
Que pasa paisano
Nada mucho, admirando la collecion I preguntando si quieres adoptarme 😂🤣😂
Mi senora dijo Que no hahahah
Ah pero digale a la señora q soy hombre I no hay porque preocuparse! 😂🤣😂 soy domesticado tambien! 😂🤣😂🤣

Looks awesome. Love the popcorn machine.
It's going to be only marvel themed, isn't it?
Lucky guess! Hahaha
I would say if you had that much money, buy a multi case from The Arcade Guys.
If I dint have room I would of gone that route, but I got a whole room I got to fill lol

You’re not gonna want that many arcade 1ups, you’re going to end up upgrading to real machines
When did you pick up that Ridge Racer? I can't find it.
I got most of these back in late December when dell had them for like 40% off with a 150 gift card. I think I got ridge racer from bestbuy when it was 299
I regret missing that best buy sale so much!
Came here to ask this question!
I obviously need to stop being lazy and do something about my theater room when I see things like that ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy) 3 years in and I still have white walls everywhere and nothing on my walls.
One step at time. You can do it
Yeah I'll get there thanks for the inspiration, where did you get the panels for the ceiling and the poster frames? That could be a start here with some paint lol.
The ceiling tiles are from wishihadthat.com They go in a drop ceiling grid. The frames are not movie standard size so I had to cut the posters to fit. The frames where from a local shop that went out of business
I build a light box that goes in the back of the frame
Thanks for the quick reply, give me 6 month's and I'll have it all done ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)

That is gonna be awesome!
Decase the Pinball pcb's and also do the a1 pinner mod.....I would do that and just keep one pinball....I have all 90 zen 2 tablesbon my star wars along with 42 pinball arcade tables
