Genuine question here because I did try Google and I didn't find something that made it clear to me. Any link in special or place I can find an explanation of what is demisexuality?
It is basically when you need an emotional bond to find someone sexually attractive. The level of bond varies from person to person and some people never form the required bond. One night stands and sex early in relationships are not things we really do. Long term romantic relationships are generally where the bond can form, but it is not guaranteed.
It also means different things to different people.
Demisexuality is on the Asexual Spectrum, some of us are closer to being Asexual than others.
Honestly, I am not very good at explaining but I hope this helps a little.
The popularity of strip clubs, prostitutes, pornography, and hookup apps all demonstrate that no, most people don't need an emotional connection to feel sexual attraction. Of course that doesn't stop straight people from saying "Everyone's like that!" when they hear about demisexuality.
And educating yourself on different identities can be socially beneficial, but don't think you need to meet a list of criteria to be able to identify that way. It's a vibes thing, only you can know how you feel. There's no such thing as a "true" demisexual, "true" gay, "true" trans person, etc. Anyone who wants to doubt the validity of your identity can just keep moving the goalposts, they're impossible to satisfy.
For me it means I have to have an emotional attraction to someone. I don't have a ton of physical attraction. Like I'll recognize a dude is hot and I'm attracted to male bodies in general but I'm not sexually attracted until I get to know them enough I'm attracted to their personality.
Like I never understood how so many of my friends were endlessly fucking these loser asshole dudes and was so confused about it. Thought something was wrong with me because i had no desire at all for that. Wondered if i was gay not not ever did have any sort of feeling or sexual attraction to a woman but I do with men. Finally learned I'm on the ace spectrum and some people can be attracted to nothing more than a body. Blew my mind ha ha
Served me well. Couldn't even wrap my mind around being the other woman because a man who cheats is so emotionally unattractive to me. I end up not dating super garbage people. Its saved me a ton of drama over the years.
Its literally the same thing over and over again with these people, they see someone who lives life differently from them therefore its disgusting and somehow anti human or whatever.
As an asexual... being ace has nothing to do with have romantic feelings or feeling lonely. dafuq

Asexual = person without sexual attraction
Aromantic = person without romantic attraction
AroAce = all of the above
There is also some subclasses of ace (erassexual, allosexual...)
(PS : you can be on the Ace spectrum and still have libido)
