100%. I love Venetians. Can walk past any of the others (maybe not the Raspberry Shortcakes, those I'll look at twice) but the Venetians are my kryptonite.
My Holy Trinity of Arnott's bikkies are Venetians, Raspberry Shortcakes and Iced VoVo's.
For the Choc covered bikkies can't say no to Mint Slices or Caramel Crowns.
Many years ago in Newtown there was a beige Volvo station wagon painted to look like an Iced Vovo. I have called them Iced Volvos ever since.
That was god tier.
I work at Woolies as an online shopper, and so many people kept buying these weird looking specimen. I thought they were yogurt coated with sultanas, and I couldn’t figure out the hype.
Then I tried one out of curiosity.
Deceased 🤤🤤🤤
It is a basic idea my Nanna taught me:
Chocolate ripple biscuits, dipped in sweet sherry, and stuck together in a log with whipped cream between each bikkie, and coated over the whole log. Leave it in the fridge for at least 2-3 hours before serving so the biscuits break down and merge with the cream.
So good. I miss you Nanna!
That’s a Chocolate Ripple cake with extra booze, sounds like fun! Nice work Nanna! My Nanna made the same thing without the sherry - she probably had it on the side instead!
Try some Walker's brand scotch fingers sometime. They slightly changed the recipe earlier this year but they are still 100x better than arnott's scotch fingers.
Lemon crisp definitely. I also miss the old honey snap biscuits (google has just told me that they were discontinued back in 1998, so I've been missing them for 26 years).
Orange Slice with the added bonus that at anything I go to that serves morning tea I can always get my favourite. I know there are other people out there who like the Orange slice because that still sell the packets. Quatro was god tier and they stopped that one.
If you can get them, they haven’t been on the shelf at my local store for ages. Please tell me you can get them. It will give me the inspiration to go further afield.
Get two Montes biscuits and one marshmallow.
Slice marshmallow horizontally in half and place both pieces on the flat side of one upturned Monte biscuit, place the second Monte on top making a sandwich.. microwave for about 10 seconds, or until the chocolate is just melting....enjoy with tea/coffee.
This is a massive sugar hit, so please consider your current health circumstances.
Chocolate coated Tiny Teddies will send me to the morgue every damn time. I know they’re not a ‘singular’ Arnott’s bickie… BUT. Those little buggers are not celebrated nearly as much as they deserve.
Malt O’ Milk are basic, but delicious!
There was a square, lattice cream biscuit available in the 70s and 80s, but I can’t find any information. From memory, it was released in the late-70s, and discontinued at least 20 years ago. They were nice.
Thanks for your reply. I’m old enough to remember when they were released - I was about 7, so around 1977. Not old enough to be up in arms over their discontinuation, though!
I was a bit sad when I heard. My Nan made the most amazing passion fruit slice with the lattice biscuits. There is nothing that is just right to replace them with.
Arnott’s biscuits certainly evoke wonderful memories for me - which I think is true for many Australians.
The staple in my household was Family Assorted, which had a couple of different biscuits in the 70s: Butternut Snap and Malt O’ Milk, as well as Teddy Bear; Nice; Scotch Finger and Morning Coffee. I always ate 5 biscuits with two or three glasses of milk, as I watched telly after school. I rarely ate the Morning Coffees.
Edit: to change Chocolate Chip Cookie to Butternut Snap. The CCC was actually in the Classic assortment, which came out in the 80s.
Apparently, the variety of biscuits differed from state-to-state, according to local favourites. The assortment I described, was from Victoria. I don’t know if Arnott’s varies the content according to state preferences now.

I just absolutely love Scotch Fingers with tea. Although I have just started purchasing their knock offs from Aldi as they’re cheaper (I am a student, need to save every $ where I can for now 🥲).
ITT: Most of the popular biscuits that aren't underrated at all.
Monte Carlo always ends up last man standing when the favourites box gets put out but they're good so are all the wafers range.
Salsa shapes were my favourite, I still miss them. But then I worked there making them.
30 seconds out of the oven they dumped into an open ended rotating drum, where they got sprayed with flavoured oil and sprinkled with tomato powder. Where they came out there would be a build up of flavoured tomato power, like you find in the bottom of the bags, I would scrape this off with a biscuit till it was a centimetre thick.
Also cleaning the packaging machines we would end up with bags full of the excess flavourings that came off.
Lemon Crisp, Gaiety and Venetian - can take or leave Tim Tams even though they're nice to slam with coffee occasionally. Added benefit is that I only need to guard the Gaietys from the kids, because the others don't have chocolate on them and they tell me they look too 'old' lol...
Coffee Scrolls and Honey Jumbles. Oh, wait…
Venetians, but since they’re now my faves they’ll probably get discontinued too. My fave chocolate ones are the Chocolate Butternut Snaps.
Venetians
100%. I love Venetians. Can walk past any of the others (maybe not the Raspberry Shortcakes, those I'll look at twice) but the Venetians are my kryptonite.

Iced Vovos were god tier but not sure they are as good these days
Many years ago in Newtown there was a beige Volvo station wagon painted to look like an Iced Vovo. I have called them Iced Volvos ever since. That was god tier.
You have excellent taste!
I work at Woolies as an online shopper, and so many people kept buying these weird looking specimen. I thought they were yogurt coated with sultanas, and I couldn’t figure out the hype. Then I tried one out of curiosity. Deceased 🤤🤤🤤
Yeah blackcurrants kick sultanas arse. Welcome!
Omg your comment has reminded me what Venetians are. Just added them to my Woolies order. I always assumed they’d fallen by the wayside years ago!!!
Venetians are my favourite
Winner winner, Venetians for dinner
Hello diabetes, my old friend.
!!!!!!!! Yes !!!!!!!!!
I love Venetians!!!!
Thanks, I went out and bought some of these tonight for the first time, just had several with a cup of tea...new favourite!
Lemon Crisp
The perfect mix of sweetness, slight saltiness and lemon tang.
The saltiness fits my pallet
So good.
Mint Slice. Impossible to eat just one.
Mint slice is far superior to the Tim Tam.
I periodically go on mint slice benders, where I cannot for the life of me stop eating them. Think I’m due another soon.
This is the exact reason I don't buy them lol
What do they put in them?! This is exactly my habit too.
I ate a whole packet in the car the other week. Not mad about it
I love them frozen.
yeah impossible to eat one because they go straight in the bin 😷😷🤣
Honey Jumbles - Bring them back!
Missing the Honey Jumbles 🍯
I would swap my firstborn for a packet of honey jumbles tbh
We have a honey jumble pan that does the rounds in our family.
I angrily crave them - very often.
Honey jumbles are amazing. I have to bake them myself now
I want Quatro back.
Holy shit I've only just realised these are gone?! They were incredible!
Tic Toc bikkies! And Chocolate Ripple, because you can make an actual cake with them.
If you’re feeling fancy, alternate ripples with ginger nut biscuits in the cake. We make it as a Christmas treat
Ooh, that sounds interesting and exotic! I’ll keep that in mind.
I do a Choc Ripple AND a Butternut Ripple every Christmas. Incredible 🙏🏼🤤🙏🏼
It is a basic idea my Nanna taught me: Chocolate ripple biscuits, dipped in sweet sherry, and stuck together in a log with whipped cream between each bikkie, and coated over the whole log.
Grog log!
I use tia Maria. But you can also use baileys
Oooh I don't like sherry but you gave me the idea to use Cafe Patron to dip the bickies in 👍
Chuck a coupe of shots of coffee with the cream and you have a cheap and easy tiramisu pretty much!
And they do gluten free chocolate ripples too so I can make a ripple cake for my coeliac child.
Chocolate Butternut Snap. Controversial, but I like them better than any Tim Tam.
I love these! And kingstons, but these are always the best!
Not at all, Tim Tams are overrated
Yeah they're so good, my favourite for sure.....they taste like Kingston's but cut to the chase quicker I reckon.
These are my favourite but are hard to find. Used to live near an IGA that always had stock but can never find them in colesworth
Good ol Scotch Fingers, soooo made for dunking.
Chocolate coated scotch fingers are like crack I swear.
Let's be real, cracks a million times more euphoric than crumbly bikkies.....!!
Try some Walker's brand scotch fingers sometime. They slightly changed the recipe earlier this year but they are still 100x better than arnott's scotch fingers.
Milk Arrowroot. Spread with butter or Laughing Cow cheese. Or dunk them in a cup a soup. Yum!
Cover the back in icing, decorate with some smarties to make a lil face(skip the lolly snake), and I’ll get in anyone’s van, any day!
I spread them with lemon curd
I am definitely spreading them with loads of butter! Smash half a pack in no time.
I like the Royals
Do you smash them on someone’s forehead before eating?
This is the only way to eat them
I have not heard of this
I only loved the dark chocolate ones - the milk ones are too sweet
They're called chocolate boobies in my house
Monte Carlo
Definitely the best.!
The only answer!
Get a rapsberry shortcake up ya
Caramel crowns, hundreds and thousands, shortbread creams. I could go on, I have a toddler and I'm living my best life buying biscuit snacks
Venetian. Kids demolish those things.
Kingstons. When we eventually leave here, I WILL find a way of getting them shipped to me.
When have Kingstons been underrated?
OP called Tim Tams “biscuit Jesus”. Kingstons are better than Tim Tams, ergo they are underrated.
Kingstons are the first to go in an Assorted Cream pack. They have never been and will never be underrated.
Kingstons are definitely underrated. They are unassumingly good. If you’ve never had one and take a bite… immediately impressed.
Tim Tams are a different category of biscuit to Kingstons. Its like comparing a Mint Slice and a Shortbread Cream.
Good point! BUT… they have been promoted to having their own pack. Here… they fly under the radar.
underrated ? they are the king of biscuits ffs !
Kingstons are the GOAT!
Have you ever made them. Sooo good.
If you can get them, they haven’t been on the shelf at my local store for ages. Please tell me you can get them. It will give me the inspiration to go further afield.
We can still get them in Alice.
Milk coffee The King of the plain biscuit
Such a good dunker
TeeVee snacks
Malt sticks are one of my most favourite foods
I can’t buy these anymore because I just scoff the whole packet in one go.
Malt teevee are God tier.
Chocolate Teddy Bears are the king of all biscuits and I will fight any mutha fucker that says otherwise!
100% the correct answer right here!
Caramel Crowns..
Gaiety's
My nana always had a pack of Gaiety’s in the cupboard
Finally someone with common sense. Gaiety’s 😍
Spicy fruit rolls
They go hard, but they never go on special
I like disco biscuits
[Obligatory](https://youtu.be/MEShmQDDVUA?si=Zh6YbeywjEbddGLL)
Iced VoVo
I scrolled way too far to find this.
Ew
Chocolate Montes! Dark chocolate, not too sweet and when you bite off each end and suck cold milk through….. So delicious!
Butternut snaps , great for dunking in coffee
Lemon crisps are perfect. Sweet and salty.
I will live and die for Kingstons and Shortbread Creams.
Delta Creams shit all over Oreos.
Oreos suck. Just about any biscuit, even the home brand ones, are better than Oreos.
Chocolate covered Scotch Fingers
Tic Tocs and Hundreds and Thousands
Country Cheese. Especially with some Mersey Valley cheese on top. Delish!
Thanks to this thread I went and bought country cheese at the supermarket today. I haven’t had them for ages but they were delicious 😊
Glad you enjoyed them. I sometimes have them with a cheese slice if that's all we have. I'm not a "sweet" eater so these are my favourite Arnotts
Yoyo
I like Tim Tams, but they aren't my favourite by a longshot. My favourites are the Raspberry Shortcakes.
Wagon wheels. Or as my wife calls them, gag on wheels. All the more for me and our youngest.
Chocolate covered teddies.
I’m a slut for orange slices. Not one at work likes them. I get them all
It’s like you read my mind, cause I was gonna say Lemon Crisps and Malt too!
Morning coffee
Chocolate coated Tiny Teddies will send me to the morgue every damn time. I know they’re not a ‘singular’ Arnott’s bickie… BUT. Those little buggers are not celebrated nearly as much as they deserve.
Caramel crowns.
How can you go past shapes, many flavours can't stop at one...
A couple of Yo Yo biscuits with a cup of tea or Venetians if I’m being posh.
Orange Slice
Why on earth has no one said ginger nut ??!
Tina Wafers are gold tier Arnott’s. Treat yourself.
Monte.
Orange Slice.
If this is an undercover marketing tactic, well played Arnott's.
Malt O’ Milk are basic, but delicious! There was a square, lattice cream biscuit available in the 70s and 80s, but I can’t find any information. From memory, it was released in the late-70s, and discontinued at least 20 years ago. They were nice.
Only discontinued a couple of years ago at Cole’s. Oldies were up in arms because they are the base of so many awesome slices 😢

Kingston and Venetian
I just absolutely love Scotch Fingers with tea. Although I have just started purchasing their knock offs from Aldi as they’re cheaper (I am a student, need to save every $ where I can for now 🥲).
ITT: Most of the popular biscuits that aren't underrated at all. Monte Carlo always ends up last man standing when the favourites box gets put out but they're good so are all the wafers range.
In my world, the orange creams are always the wallflower no one wants to dance with.
I'll eat them all!
Toffee Pops were the best. They don’t seem to be available anymore.
Yes. Also haven’t seen them in ages.
Venetians, hundreds and thousands, milk coffee
Iced Vovo Fight me.
Royals, caramel crown and the very best of all, raspberry shortcake.
Choc Ripples are quietly good tier biccies.
Kingston creams
Montecarlo
Malt o Milk for sure.
Spicy Fruit Rolls, my husband's fav. But Coles doesn't stock them at all, so I buy about 6 pkts to last him 8 weeks
Shortbread creams.
Arrowroot
Lattice Slice made amazing vanilla slice with them. Sadly discontinued 😢
Salsa shapes were my favourite, I still miss them. When it comes to Arnott's Biscuits, the real Jesus of biscuits is Vegemite Shapes.
Malt’o’milk is my favourite. I can eat 1/2 a packet at a time. My 105 year old mother-in-law loves Venetians!
Malt o milk Tina wafers or triple wafers. Square, rectangle. Whatever!
Cheds or Marie biscuits
At Woolies get the Woolies brand scotch finger biscuits, they are made by Arnotts and are 1/4 the price. Same for the crackers which are a sao
Gaiety’s, hands down.
Scotch fingers and chockmint
Iced vovos are king
A woman of simple tastes - Milk Coffee biscuits.
Cheds, they're like premium cheddar shapes.
Soggy Saos, obviously.
Collar me, don't collar me I've got my spine, I've got my orange slice…
Granita bikkie dipped into a coffee
Volvo and Monte Carlo
I'm certain Mint Slice has crack in it
I miss golliwogs..dunked in milk.. superior biccy
Milk arrowroot
Yo yo biscuits! So simple. So delicious. I haven’t seen them in the shops for years!
Kingstons are the king of biscuits. Especially dipped in a hot beverage 👑
Clicked on this to say malt o milk, and it expanded to show you are a truly good human who acknowledges the GOAT.
Coffee Scrolls and Honey Jumbles. Oh, wait… Venetians, but since they’re now my faves they’ll probably get discontinued too. My fave chocolate ones are the Chocolate Butternut Snaps.
Mint Slice is the bomb Chocolate wheatens- brilliant when camping as they travel pretty well
Tina Wafers. Particularly the pink ones!
Monte Carlo and Iced VoVos!
Mint slice slaaaaaaaaps
Monte Carlo. There’s something about the little snap of the cream filling. IYKYK
Scotch Fingers
Nearly all mentioned so far aren’t under-rated … they are just the popular ones. My vote is for Tic Tocs. Crunchy icing on top.
Iced Vo-Vo
kingstons ,tim tams are sickly
Honey jumbles
Shortbread creams. My ultimate comfort food.
Kingston
Kingston, Butternut snap. The Coles choc chip biscuits are fantastic, too.
I'll take a Penguin over any TimTam
