I have mercury in cancer in the ninth house. I have a photographic memory, and deep feelings attached to them. Mercury in cancer is not the greatest placement for mercury as the watery nature of cancer doesn't allow for the best expression of mercury. Mercury in cancer tends to be sensitive and empathetic, and very attached to the past. Good qualities include being a nurturer and really being able to express care. Mercury in the ninth adds a philosophical flair.

I too have a Cancer Mercury in the 9th house and the photographic memory checks out.
