Watermelon and feta cheese is a great combo. In my opinion, so is yellow cheese (kashkaval) and ripe summer tomatoes. You can add some nice and soft bread to that as well. 😋
In Bulgaria I think it is a regional thing. I am from the North and it is common. Other regions not so much.
Another combo is palachinki(crepes) with honey and feta or mekitsi with honey and feta.
I love white cheese but I hate watermelon. Too many people eat them together, and I'm sorry but i consider them subhumans. Feel free to consider me the same.

Can confirm, the combo is awesome. But it works best with a specific type of sirene (not the chalky kind) and very cold watermelon.
