Its really not though. By far the most successful countries in the arab world were socialist:
- Nassers EgyptÂ
- Saddam (and to an extent al bakrs) Iraq
- yemen during that time
- Despite the fact I hate assad syria was still better under semi socialism than the neoliberalism today
- gaddafi libya
Nope a lot of people lost their business in a place that needs business to survive oil haven't been discovered yet and very limited agriculture it have been reliant on the ussr funds.
Most people either fled to saudi or North yemen.
There have been like zero entertainment.
But the only good part about socialist yemen was that it stopped the tribal influence in politics at great costs like changing some places name to just numbers changing the culture of the tribes.....
It was safer yeah but just because it was a dictatorship and people were yeah they didn't starve but the were all equally poor.
I can go on forever why it sucked
About as far-left as you can get. Also, you can't be economically one thing and socially the opposite. Economy and society are intertwined. You're expressing political disorientation that will be used and manipulated by demagogues.
Centre to centre left people: "I want to be on the right side of history, but don't want to lose my privileges".
P.S: I'm really Far left, like a few steps away from founding and/or joinibg global armed rebellion.
Right/Left differs a lot from country to country. For example, a far-right wing in Turkey would want an extreme version of secularism (ban on hijabs, and all religion from politics), while a far-right wing in Saudi Arabia or America would want the opposite (total sharia society/christian based society)
Ofc not wtf....... It means that I don't like capitalism and in favor of a more planned economy, nonexploitive distribution of wealth and welfare but at the same time I want traditional values and morals to still exist.
far left on the rise! big fat W
Authoritian with moderate islamism and moderate socialism 💀 I think my views are weird.Â
So just your average Islamist? Most Islamists are economically Socialists.
Nah most islamists are more strict, and less Socialist economically. I believe mainly in domestic islamism. Think iraq 1990s.

Yemen was not successful at that time Probably militarily only.
Socialist yemen was much nicer than every other yemen, no?

I don't know much on it but my point was, it was rhe best yemeni state
Apart from this civil war obviously nope it was the worst
The zionist Backed kingdom was better?
Ironically yeah people preferred the British who destroyed some historical sites than the ussr.
Also the islamism is more a domestic thing such as modest dressing and no alcohol.

I think the terms right and left are not useful to classify ideologies today. I honestly don’t fit in any of these groups
How to spot a fascist.

Economically: right wing. Socially: technically left (especially relative to Mena)

Politics are boringÂ
I'm politically liberated btw.
I'm very far-left economically and very far-right socially

That is National Bolshevism, just National Socialism but more economically left-wing.
