We kinda bounced in and out of each others lives throughout childhood, together in preschool, one of my parents lived near her from grades 2 through I think 6, then oddly enough she got into my fathers cab in grade twelve just after Christmas. Yes, everyone has their own pace. That said, it's important to get yourself out there if you do feel like having a relationship. Some people want one but are shy/insecure/lazy/busy so they don't seek one, and instead think a relationship will eventually come to them, or they wait for "the right time". Dawg, being a teen is fucking crazy. You've got wildly different life paths all at the same time in the same building. Some people are fucking like rabbits, some people own cars, some are underage drinking and doing drugs, other crowds are athletes at Olympic levels, or grinding their favorite MMO or building PCs or an infinite number of other things. Some are poor, rich, traumatized, naive, etc. My first kiss was at 23, and it certainly wasn't for a lack of trying, but never feel like specific experiences dictate your value. Chances are good some of your friends are lying anyways, I know I did at that age just to keep appearances. Your experiences do give you value, but it doesn't matter what they are. You're an entirely unique person and your experiences are going to provide incredible value and insight to others because nobody else can live your life and think your thoughts for you. Dating is hard for everybody, and yet most people eventually do it, some even learn to get good or passable at it. It's never going to be easy. It only gets easy with experience. And you won't get experience unless you suck it up, get yourself out there, and grow from your mistakes. Don't wait for your SO to materialize from thin air nor expect them to just accept your immature self. How about you get experience now, so that when your SO appears, you are ready to leave a good impression and don't ruin your big chance.

I was probably 14. Travelled to see a long distance girlfriend I had met online in a video game. She was real, and she was exactly what I was hoping to see when I arrived. Second grade, so whatever age that is 8? Looking back at it now its extremely disturbing. I had a neighbor of the same age, and she was my first kiss. The disturbing part was when we would play "house" she would insist we both got naked and she would lay on top of me. As a kid I didn't really think anything of it. But looking back on it as an adult, I can only think that she had to have been sexually assaulted or molested for her to be acting that out on me.
