For me, it was so much better. I wasn’t being bullied 5 days a week anymore once I got out of high school. I moved from a small town, that required a car to get anywhere, to a city, with a transit system that would take you anywhere. Just being able to walk to a mall was great. I had to get a new job and pay rent and all my own bills but I had already been working every summer and helped my parents pay some of their bills before I moved out.

I graduated last year and it's kinda interesting. I always expected some big exciting change to happen but life just kinda went on. Work become the new norm and I pretty much just do the same things I did before minus having to be up at 6 in the morning. I do have a bit more freedom but I also have more responsibilities, especially with myself. I don't have school encouraging me to do things and making me be around people anymore so if I don't actively try to do things or be around people then nothing ever happens

Scary you either study more or get a job.

Gets better and better. Marriage, kids, career, financial independence are things that high school kids don’t have.

One day your excited about going out into the world and the next thing you know you are looking back wondering where those 40 years went so fast.

The 20’s are complete shit, doesn’t start to get better until your 30’s and that’s only if you work hard for it

SuperMeh2

Responsibilities start pouring into your life. Either it’ll start immediately by jumping into the workforce or you’ll temporarily keep it at bay until you graduate college.

Imagine all your friends now with your eyes open, then close your eyes. That’s life after high school. Friends disappear

School was a nightmare. After school is way better! I spent my 20's working hard to climb out of poverty and build a life. My 30's were even better because I had my feet under me. Looking at my 40's and I'm optimistic.
