This is a good thing. I have often rewound cos I missed bits, I get so much more engaged. I just have Netflix Mexico S3 then I’m done :( Griselda was great though.
Peaky Fookin' Blinders is one of the best shows I have ever watched. Acting is fantastic, cinematography is fantastic... no notes.
My wife, who is not a fan of gratuitous violence, LOVED this show.
I think I didn't like Oppenheimer as much as others because, in my opinion, Cillian Murphy did a better job in Peaky Blinders.
Every scene between Murphy and Tom Hardy is magic.
"I do not want him to spare me because of some fucking peace pact! I want him to acknowledge that his anger is un-fucking-justified! I want him to acknowledge that he who fights by the sword, he fucking dies by it, Tommy!" \~ Alfie.
#spoilers#
The show did an amazing job the last two seasons showing how a communist movement got turned into national socialism and then straight to fascism. I even did some research on Oswald Chambers who was a real life politician that almost became prime Minister barely losing to Churchill. Fucking brilliant show
Similarly, I recommend The Gentlemen TV series. It’s a aristocratic twist on a British gangster series where a guy inherits a huge cannabis empire.
It’s amazing. Guy Ritchie is great.
He did a much better job in peaky blinders. Check out operation anthropoid, a true story from ww2 of an operation meant to take down the person who engineered the camps. I forgot his name. Anyways, great movie it’s on Amazon prime. Cillian Murphy is the main character.
It's the best drama humans have created so far. People are weird, though, and very uptight. They think that watching someone acting like a fictional person who is interesting and unethical means that they, the watchers, are unethical, I guess.
Unpopular opinion but imo dark isn't that good. Yes the story and all is pretty good but damn is everything stretched out to the maximum. I don't think I even finished the first season because I got bored.
But theoretically I should support it because it's nice to have a popular german series for once.
I watched the first \~5 episodes and dropped it out of boredom.
I came in expecting a 10/10 masterpiece that everyone is raving about, but I couldn't even persist with it through the full first season. I don't get the appeal.
Maybe I just hadn't gotten to the good part yet?
i love the last kingdom, but i thought it fell off a lot after season 3. still great, i read all the books in about 4 months after finishing the series.
Them changing to this from “Fate is inexorable” in the books was one of the few things I didn’t like in the show, like come on, no harm in teaching people a new word
We did "Rock the Boat" at my parents' 50th! It was hilarious and fun. My sister and her husband and I are big fans, so when I saw him running to sit behind my sister, I hip checked him and he slunk away, all dejected like the cousin.
Love me some Sister Michael and Uncle Colm.
Right! Bridgerton isn't a genre I'd usually watch but knowing she's in it definitely tempts me. I was sad it was only 3 series long but it ended on a good note 🩷
It aired on Starz, but the whole series is currently available on Netflix.
For anyone thinking of watching it, it's awesome, but get ready to hear "this place" WAY too fucking much.
I also feel like it did a great job of depicting a sort of working-class poverty that you don't normally see on TV. Anytime something good happens to the family, or to Fiona, life bitch-slaps them right back down to reality. And even some of the cycles of self-sabotage that can help keep you down and out.
Dating myself...if you liked X-Files, you may like Evil. I'm on s01e11 and every episode can be explained logically or supernaturally.
The nurse episode was my favorite WTF episode.
I’m literally on the last season now. My friend convinced me because I am a die hard Jacksonville Jaguars fan, I am not disappointed by the show (just constantly disappointed by the Jaguars).
And make sure to do it pronto to help meet Netflix's asinine metrics for early watchers that may help determine if they will continue development on one of the series most deserving of renewal.
My favorite were Dark, Ozark, Stranger Things, Mind Hunter, The Last Kingdom, Black Mirror, the Crown, the Haunting of Hill House, Midnight Mass, and You
Peak Blinders is absolutely solid.
I got into Mindhunter recently. Based in the Hannibal Lector universe (kinda) you follow the circa 1970's development of FBI Criminal profiling. Perfectly written and tense. Produced and sometimes directed by Stephen Soddenbourg.
Scavenger’s Reign is moving to Netflix from Max and how many views it gets will partially determine if it gets renewed for a second season. It’s a very creative world-building space drama that deserves more seasons. I can’t recommend enough if you like beautiful animation
Black Mirror, Santa Clarita Diet, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmitt, Bojack Horseman, Midnight Gospel...
Pretty much anything they tagged "critically acclaimed" and then canceled.
In the recent times the best thriller sci-fi show I have watched would be 03 body problem…. Probably due to accurate science, good graphics and pacing …. Further here is a list of few brilliant sci-fi thriller shows and movies that I liked…. Thankfully someone has summed this up for me …..
https://chicadventurer.com/top-10-must-watch-thrillers-on-netflix-latest-and-unique-picks/
The Witcher got cancelled didn't it? I try to avoid shows that get cancelled early because by the time zi get really invested they tend to end on cliffhangers :(
I loved House of Cards but the last season jumped the shark right from the start. I guess the situation with Kevin Spacey made it hard to write a good last season. Such a disappointing end for a great show.
Narcos. Started randomly after seeing some posts on Instagram, and finished it in 3-4 days
This is the show that introduced me to Pedro Pascal and Wagner Moura...

I agree Peaky Blinders
Peaky Blinders is underappreciated. Excellent television. Up there with Sopranos as a great.
I love them hats!
#spoilers# The show did an amazing job the last two seasons showing how a communist movement got turned into national socialism and then straight to fascism. I even did some research on Oswald Chambers who was a real life politician that almost became prime Minister barely losing to Churchill. Fucking brilliant show
Yeah I enjoyed this progression in the story. He would’ve undoubtedly being made a puppet prime minister in the event Hitler succeeded.
Similarly, I recommend The Gentlemen TV series. It’s a aristocratic twist on a British gangster series where a guy inherits a huge cannabis empire. It’s amazing. Guy Ritchie is great.
Yes, fookin loved that show
Thomas Fooking Shelby
He did a much better job in peaky blinders. Check out operation anthropoid, a true story from ww2 of an operation meant to take down the person who engineered the camps. I forgot his name. Anyways, great movie it’s on Amazon prime. Cillian Murphy is the main character.
Imagine how thrilled the producers are to have an Oscar-winning actor as their main character.
Mindhunter
Real shame it didn’t get a 3rd season
That BTK blueball
It was brilliant.
Amazing series
Breaking bad would forever be my favourite!

Some might say it’s even better.
It's the best drama humans have created so far. People are weird, though, and very uptight. They think that watching someone acting like a fictional person who is interesting and unethical means that they, the watchers, are unethical, I guess.
You’re goddamn right
Dark
This is the correct answer. The only answer if anyone hasnt watched it yet then fix that
Unpopular opinion but imo dark isn't that good. Yes the story and all is pretty good but damn is everything stretched out to the maximum. The last kingdom..
i love the last kingdom, but i thought it fell off a lot after season 3. still great, i read all the books in about 4 months after finishing the series.
SHIELD WALL 🛡️⚔️
Destiny is all
Them changing to this from “Fate is inexorable” in the books was one of the few things I didn’t like in the show, like come on, no harm in teaching people a new word
Derry Girls
Protestants hate Abba!
And they keep their toasters in the cupboard!
Even for someone that doesn’t think they’d like it from a thumbnail or small clip, just watch it. Comedy gold.
I wish I could upvote this x100
That show is so hilarious and the screenshot of Nicola Coughlan they use for the show cracks me up.
Right! Bridgerton isn't a genre I'd usually watch but knowing she's in it definitely tempts me. I was sad it was only 3 series long but it ended on a good note 🩷
My wife has been binging Bridgerton and she loves it, from what I’ve seen she has a very large role in that show.

Yesssss
Ozark
Yes! But no series has ever given me so much anxiety as Ozark.
Did you never see Breaking Bad 😬
Ozark Season 3 will always remain in my top 5
Curently watching this

Black sails
First season was a bit slow and then it took off. Was very pleasantly surprised. Great show.
Currently on season 3 myself
That was Starz though isn't it? Did they bring it over to Netflix?! Always wanted to see how it ended but I got rid of Starz before then.
It aired on Starz, but the whole series is currently available on Netflix. For anyone thinking of watching it, it's awesome, but get ready to hear "this place" WAY too fucking much.
Arcane. Yes, it’s only got one season so far. It’s amazing.
“Eric” was good!
BEEF
Stranger Things.
Schitts Creek
Another vote for this!!
Shameless
As a native Chicagoan, this show did a better job of filming the city than any other show or movie.
I also feel like it did a great job of depicting a sort of working-class poverty that you don't normally see on TV. Anytime something good happens to the family, or to Fiona, life bitch-slaps them right back down to reality. And even some of the cycles of self-sabotage that can help keep you down and out.
Yes up until the Gay Jesus Ian storyline when the writing became shit.
Dating myself...if you liked X-Files, you may like Evil. I'm on s01e11 and every episode can be explained logically or supernaturally. The nurse episode was my favorite WTF episode.
Evil is so good! I was surprised it didn’t make it into Netflix’s top 10 list.
First season was pretty good and intriguing. Second season, which just came out after nearly 4 years, is ass.
The Good Place
I’m literally on the last season now. My friend convinced me because I am a die hard Jacksonville Jaguars fan, I am not disappointed by the show (just constantly disappointed by the Jaguars).
Jeremy Bearimy baby!
Fork yeah!
So good
Scavengers Reign
And make sure to do it pronto to help meet Netflix's asinine metrics for early watchers that may help determine if they will continue development on one of the series most deserving of renewal.
It was made by HBO. Watching it on Netflix should still help it though
I literally just finished that show and its so good. Trying to tell anyone I can about it so Netflix will make more lol.
Blue Eyed Samurai
Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.
My favorite were Dark, Ozark, Stranger Things, Mind Hunter, The Last Kingdom, Black Mirror, the Crown, the Haunting of Hill House, Midnight Mass, and You

I love peaky blinders. Just started binge watching outlander. I'm obsessed.

Mindhunter and Black Mirror.
Scavenger’s Reign is moving to Netflix from Max and how many views it gets will partially determine if it gets renewed for a second season. It’s a very creative world-building space drama that deserves more seasons. I can’t recommend enough if you like beautiful animation
Just finished Killing Eve. The series is brilliant, and Jodie Comer is the best actor
PSYCH
feels so dated though
I swear, that intro song is the catchiest thing ever 😄
puts me in a good mood every time
I know you know 😉
Black Mirror, Santa Clarita Diet, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmitt, Bojack Horseman, Midnight Gospel... Pretty much anything they tagged "critically acclaimed" and then canceled.
Kimmy Schmitt is one of my all time favorite shows. I've watched it probably 6 times through.
Kimmy Schmidt is an all-time fav. Titus Andromedon is def in my top 10 favorite TV characters.
Personally I would do anything to watch Queens Gambit and Anne with an E for the first time again
Oh god - Anne with an E!! Incredible.
Beef

Castlevania was pretty great. I haven’t begun watching the subsequent series, Castlevania: Nocturne, yet though.

Young Sheldon
Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Avatar The Last Airbender

"Stranger Things," "The Witcher," and "Money Heist" are must-watch series on Netflix.
I Am Not Okay With This … casualty of the pandemic with only one season made
Stranger Things The Crown First few seasons of House of Cards
I loved House of Cards but the last season jumped the shark right from the start. I guess the situation with Kevin Spacey made it hard to write a good last season. Such a disappointing end for a great show.
