In The US i learned many suburbs have a HOA(Home owners association) ,an organisation of people that live in your neighbourhood that have the power to say how your house looks like,how your yard,... looks like,where you can park your car,when and how you can give parties,when you can cut your grass,... and if you don't fully live by their rules they can fine you and in some extreme cases they can take your house ans make you go bankrupt. Glad this doesnt exist in europe
Yeah but its like in some cases you could live there and never done anything wrong and one day decide to paint your front door black and you would get a letter in the mail with an absurd fine of hundreds if dollars and i u decide to not pay they will drag you to court. A lot of times i read the management of these Hoa's are those well respected elitist people with connections to police and local governments so a lot of then abuse their powers. I couldn't imagine not being able to decide for yourself when to cut your.grass
No,in Belgium you can do with your house what you want,park wherever you want just as long as you park legal,you can let your grass grow how high yoy want. Only thing you cant do is modify or change stuff that is protected by law even if its your property(like if a big tree that is there in your yard for 100 years you can't just cut it)
Glad we don't have US levels of crime. Wish we had US levels of growth and wages.

Wow that's crazy, I can cut any tree I want. I can and have remodeled my entire house by myself. Just recently poured a huge concrete patio.
