Pretty sure it would have still happened with or without Elon. I know it’s cool to hate the dude on Reddit, but let’s be real here. If Elon’s name wasn’t attached to it, Reddit would be creaming their pants every time they saw one in public. And to be honest, in my opinion, they’re kind of cool. Not like every other vehicle you see on the road and first time seeing one it’s hard to process what tf you just saw. Again, I get it, it’s cool to hate on Elon but I still think it would have happened regardless.
No, it would not have happened without him. The engineering and design teams at tesla aren't idiots. Their assembly team cuts all the corners and their ceo is a sniffing his own farts douche.
No way the cyber joke happens without him.
Ok. I have a friend who works at Tesla and had info on the cybertruck before it was even revealed to the public. Elon didn’t design it and he didn’t have as much to do with it as you think. He’s the face of the company, the hype man. It was going to happen with or without him. Idk why youre giving him so much credit.
The first thing that came to mind was BMW. Second thing was Porsche. Third was Mercedes but only because my asshole boss has two of them somehow. I might go out on a limb and say any high-end popular German car name lmao
Edit: added high-end
Except in Germany. There they're actually often reasonably priced domestic cars from what I understand. Like... Used for pizza delivery fleets when I visited...
Admittedly 24 years ago.
Fuck I'm old.
BMWs get all the hate but I find Mercedes to come off as more douchey. The design is just ostentatious. Just look at the G wagon. That said I'm not sure I've ever talked to a Mercedes driver.
In my town someone with a g wagon drove and crashed into a panera that was at an intersection corner.
So now i think of them as the panera destroyers. It never re opened
Why is the answer always BMWs? Not so much the Audis or Mercedes…but the BMWs are always (accurately) first(ish) on most people’s list. But what the hell is it about BMWs that enables such douchiness?
They’re expensive enough that people feel like they have “fuck you money” while also being inexpensive enough that anyone who drives one feels inferior to people with more expensive cars. Basically middle to local upper management that knows they won’t make it into the big leagues. And so they take that frustration out on everyone else.
This might be the first time I’ve seen an f150 mentioned in this type of question…I’ve always assumed there are so goddamn many of them on the roads that it would be tough to associate an identity with them in any way.
No they're definitely not, an F150 is too light duty and underpowered for that. Most are F350/450/550/650 and many are built on the E series van chassis.
Giant lifted 4wd pickup truck parked in a suburb. Bonus douche points for truck nuts.
With 40 bumper stickers espousing how everyone who disagrees with their opinion is a subhuman piece of shit who deserves to die.
One of those is a MAGA sticker, of course.
That's what he said

What’s the difference between a BMW and a porcupine? On a porcupine, the pricks are on the outside.
The Only Answer - Dodge Ram.
That new ugly one. You know which one I’m talking about. I can’t think of the name, but it’s the hideous one Elon Musk is responsible for.
He actually didn’t design it…
I didn’t say he designed it. I said he’s responsible for it.
Pretty sure it would have still happened with or without Elon. I know it’s cool to hate the dude on Reddit, but let’s be real here. I’m not reading all that. I said what I said.

It was the "free" color for a long time. Might still be. All other colors are $500/$2k extra.
So true about the white ones!

Why is the answer always BMWs? Not so much the Audis or Mercedes…but the BMWs are always (accurately) first(ish) on most people’s list. But what the hell is it about BMWs that enables such douchiness?

I think it makes you a successful dentist.
It makes you a person who bought a car. Your behavior determines if you’re a douche.
If that’s a flex , probably a douche
Any obscenely large pickup truck.

Not clear why you’d want that, though
A giant lifted pickup truck
Charger
Ford F-150
This might be the first time I’ve seen an f150 mentioned in this type of question…I’ve always assumed there are so goddamn many of them on the roads that it would be tough to associate an identity with them in any way.
So a poser…which is identical of being a douche
You do realize that most ambulances and firetrucks are F150s right?
No they're definitely not, an F150 is too light duty and underpowered for that. Most are F350/450/550/650 and many are built on the E series van chassis.

Tesla and Dodge Ram. Not a car, but Harley Davidson deserves mention.
Honda civics
