Watermelon or strawberries with feta cheese

Watermelon with feta cheese, red onion, flatleaf parsley, salt, pepper and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar+ olive oil. HEAVEN!

I make a matermelon feta pizza that my brother goes crazy for. The bottom of the pizza when I cook it on the grill is pesto, then once it comes out I layer on arugula, a watermelon feta salad with some more fresh basil and olive oil and top it some with some smokey spicy roasted chickpeas. 10/10 for summer

So here's my random recipe. Ingredients: Sourdough bread, Green apples, Bacon, Havarti cheese, Apple smoked Gouda cheese, Apple butter, Mayo (or butter). I like using mayo for grilled cheese instead of butter, less greasy and crisps up better. Apple butter inside each bread slice, followed by one of the cheeses, apple slices and bacon.

The Havarti makes this. I love it.

For some reason the havarti on one side and the Gouda on the other is like some perfect combo and not overbearing. I put the Havarti on the apple sliced side and the Gouda over the bacon; pairs better.

Barnes and Noble used to have a sandwich that used apple chutney instead of apple slices.

I sometimes wind up with an iron deficiency (coincidentally after extended periods of heavy drinking, but I digress) so I had to figure out some ways to cram as much iron into a meal as possible and make it edible. This was surprisingly tasty. And it’s also great “drunk at 3am” food. Edit: if you’re feeling ambitious, you can caramelize some onions, sauté the spinach (actually you can cram a lot more spinach in this way) and mix them together with a bit of Worcestershire sauce before adding them to the sandwich.

Sweet mustard pickles are huge in my country, it's basically pickled cauliflower and some other stuff like onions etc with some sort of mustard seeds in it. Awesome with ham and cheese in a sandwich.

There's a Finnish dish traditionally served at Christmas dinner called rosolli. Sour cream in one bowl, brown sugar in another. Take the strawberry, dip it in the sour cream, roll it in the sugar and eat. You might want to adjust the ratio to your taste, but that's where to start.

Both of these make sense to me. Especially the salmon and Brown sugar. If you make your own Teriyaki like sauce it's mostly brown sugar and Soy sauce. Most online Asian sauces, (not sure if these are just westernized) have brown sugar in them.
