Reservation Dogs. It's got excellent quirky humor, you care about the characters, it's a unique setting for a show, and it's so clearly made with love. Also helps that the episodes are just 30ish minutes.
Annoying as hell in how addictive it is. Only around 6hrs of show, but I must've spent 20hrs wiki/YT/googling everything about it when it was on. Also watched a load of docs in past couple of years after the show. I'm now an expert (layman) nuclear physicist, doctor, miner, geologist and an annoying shit on anything that was in the show.
But truly brilliant show!
did you listen to the companion podcast? I binged through those after every episode, and it sheds quite a bit of insight into each episode making the show even more interesting
I wish more of my friends would watch it.
Tbf it's not an easy watch, but loved it.
My girlfriend also hated me during this as I would just randomly start speaking snippets of german, poorly.
I rarely cry during movies or TV shows but that ending had me absolutely bawling. Such a perfect show with probably the loveliest, but most heart wrenching finale ever.
The Good Place.
1. It ended when it needed to. t's a big fucking plus. Some shows go on way too long.
2. Character development. How every character found themselves in a way. Acknowledging their flaws, unlike many other shows I've seen.
3. The humor, the fun, the wholesomeness.
Came here to say this exactly. The biggest plus for me was it ended when it was supposed to. They didn't drag it out for ratings and ruin it like sooo many other shows!
I keep hearing how good it is but I couldn't get past the first 2-3 seasons. The law firm story lines and ones with his brother were just so boring to me. Only parts I enjoyed were when it features the cartel guys.Tried re-watching a couple of times but if I have to skip through half an episode consistently I figured it wasn't worth watching.
I found bits with his brother annoying too. But worth sticking with, that all builds towards the resolution of the show. Nothing is filler, it all means something...eventually.
They really did just take everything of importance to the story and emotional investment and just tied it up into a neat little bow at the end. I tell people that it had the most fulfilling ending of a series for me ever.
There's so much to love about the behind the scenes and the way they made the show too...
From the connections and love for the fans, even using fan-made hashtags on screen for each episode to trend on social media, to little Easter eggs in the set for the fans...
And then crafting each season (after 1) basically as if it could be the last, that was a stroke of brilliance. Each season closing that season's main story, and shooting an extra bit of scene that could be plopped in, to set up a possible next season... It made it modular, so their 7 year plan could be dropped down to 5 (tossing out 2 seasons of story) with just a bit of reworking.
All the little clues IN the set design that references the upcoming next episodes, as well as the glyphs...
The whole show was a labor of love, and it shows. The little show that could.
Fully agree. This show did not get nearly enough of the attention it deserved, the story was beautiful and the acting was incredibly, Anna Torv in particular was robbed of an Emmy.
Yes underrated show that wasn't even given the opportunity to a first season finale. It just ends and you basically make of it what you want since they pulled it off the air before an ending was released. I love the show though it was ahead of it's time. Had it been on television in the later 2000s you know it would have had more success. It's a sweet little tv treasure when you do find it though.
I watched it before I played Cyberpunk and loved every second of it. It stands on its own and throws in a few easter eggs that people who played the game would recognize.
Finishing this made me want to get Cyberpunk and so far, I am not regretting it.
This show does require tissues however
In terms of anime, I'd say Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Kill La Kill.
In terms of other animated shows, Courage the Cowardly Dog
In regards to live action shows, I feel that most of the shows I enjoy tend to have a dip in quality at some point or another that you can look over if you're a fan but it will make it feel less than a 10, even in subjective terms.
Mad men
Edit:
Twin Peaks (minus the episodes Lynch wasn’t a part of)
Community (minus the season Dan Harmon wasn’t there)
Maniac
Severance (so far)
Avatar the Last Airbender
Altered Carbon (Season 1)
I felt like everything about it was perfect. I loved the story, the world, the characters. It didn't try to carry itself with any big name either.
I couldn't give a rat's ass about LoL, but this show absolutely blew me away. The art style was so captivating to me, and the whole story was top notch.

Shit ass!

10/10. Not great, not terrible.
It's actually quite high. You and your men should evacuate.
One of the best mini-series
Band of brothers
My choice as well! Excellent writing, directing, acting, and production.
The Pacific was phenomenal too
Absolutely. Trying to be objective it was probably equally good. As someone from Europe I very much prefer band of Brothers.
BoB had better storytelling. The Pacific was just brutal. Both were great in their own way.
Red dwarf
Mr Flibbles would be very cross if this didn't make the list.
Dwayne Dibbly?
*Gravity Falls*.
Yes. I recently re watched it, I really wish they put out another season

this + mythbusters and animal planet top tens were goated
Dark
I wish more of my friends would watch it. Tbf it's not an easy watch, but loved it. My girlfriend also hated me during this as I would just randomly start speaking snippets of german, poorly.
Was ist das?
Yeah agree, best time travel show/movie
It has its own webpage to help if you got lost. 10\10
I loved the music, too. Great show.
I loved the first 2 seasons but season 3 just felt like "they have lied to you, you must come with me" over and over again.
Woahhhh this made my week that this is at the top. What a masterpiece.
Bluey
Every. Single. Episode.
Avatar the last air bender, you can’t take my childhood away
Tales of Ba Sing Se
Leaves from the vine
Band of Brothers
6 Feet Under
No other show has ever gutted me like that one.
I absolutely sobbed at the end. I only picked up the show recently because it makes every best list on Reddit. It did not disappoint
I rarely cry during movies or TV shows but that ending had me absolutely bawling. Such a perfect show with probably the loveliest, but most heart wrenching finale ever.
Sopranos
Woke up this morning, got some gabagool
I agree even if being a New Jerseyean has me biased.
He never had the makings of a varsity athlete...
In the middle of a rewatch right now and I completely agree.
True Detective (first season).
The Good Place. 1. It ended when it needed to. t's a big fucking plus. Some shows go on way too long. 2. Character development. How every character found themselves in a way. Acknowledging their flaws, unlike many other shows I've seen. 3. The humor, the fun, the wholesomeness.
4. MAXIMUM DEREK.
Came here to say this exactly. The biggest plus for me was it ended when it was supposed to. They didn't drag it out for ratings and ruin it like sooo many other shows!
The best moment is how 1-877 Cars for Kids is the Bad Place theme song lol.
Better Call Saul
Agreed. Even better than Breaking Bad.
I keep hearing how good it is but I couldn't get past the first 2-3 seasons. The law firm story lines and ones with his brother were just so boring to me. Watches legal drama, gets bored by storyline about law firm
Fawlty Towers
Thank you, my little piranha fish.

Simpsons during the first years
The first 10 or so seasons were peak tv ever. The sarcasm, the wit are unmatched.
Bojack Horseman
100% so good. One of three series id give a 10/10 too
That show surprised the hell out of me, loved it
Started because thought it’ll be funny
Can't upvote this enough.
Same. Also, ending is perfect.
Also one of like 2 opening themes that I still listen to all the way through and don't fast forward. Always hits just right.
Futurama. The first five seasons, anyway :)
all of the seasons, the last ones are just as good idk why people think they are lacking in any way whatsoever
Malcolm in the middle
Yes? No? Maybe? I don't know...could you repeat the question?
Schitt's Creek. Every character was unique and the writing was awesome.
Ewwww David
Loved that journey!
I'm trying very hard not to connect with people right now.
Arcane
I was shocked how good this was. Everything was perfection, just thinking of that ending scene gives me goosebumps. Can't wait for Season 2!
Breaking bad
I’m watching it right now, only on the first season but I already agree with you
For the first time?? Wow I’m jealous. Honestly one of the best shows and they didn’t drag it on forever for no reason.
It is the only perfect show I've ever watched. From start to finish. Enjoy.
Apart from the chasing the fly around the lab episode, I agree
Better Call Saul isn’t less good.
Black Mirror
Chernobyl mini-series by HBO
Bob's Burgers.
The Wire and that's not just my opinion it's an objective fact
shiiiiiiieeeettttt
Can confirm. Is objective fact.
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck
"All the pieces matter." could've been the title for the show.
"You come at the king, you best not miss".
Cyberpunk Edgerunners. I don’t usually like anime, but damn was it a good one
Will this spoil the plot of the game if I haven't played that yet?
No it won't.
I watched it before I played Cyberpunk and loved every second of it. It stands on its own and throws in a few easter eggs that people who played the game would recognize. Finishing this made me want to get Cyberpunk and so far, I am not regretting it. This show does require tissues however
The Expanse. Where is my love for The Expanse?
Best science fiction show ever created. Nothing comes close.
Yes.
An absolute masterpiece.

Orphan Black…the lack of people not mentioning it is alarming!!! Is everyone missing out?
Avatar the last Airbender, Community, Parks and Recreation, Attack on Titan
I love community. 10/10 show and hopefully soon a 10/10 movie
6 seasons and a movie!
And now Gillian Anderson might be in it, too. Someone tweeted Anderson instead of Jacobs, and Anderson said she was in if they'll have her.
Attack on Titan was 10/10, then it switched studios
Star Trek: The Next Generation. I have and will fight people about this.
I agree, but i still want to fight you like kirk fought the Gorn ❤️

The wire
Altered Carbon (Season 1) I felt like everything about it was perfect. I loved the story, the world, the characters. It didn't try to carry itself with any big name either.
Altered Carbon 1st season. Beyond brilliant. And enough violence and nudity to keep anyone engaged.
Gravity falls
The Boys
the boys clears anything marvel has made since endgame
Even knowing nothing about LoL, Arcane is majestic !
