No idea, you might find something here [https://dbiweb02.sfgov.org/dbipts/?page=addressquery](https://dbiweb02.sfgov.org/dbipts/?page=addressquery)

I do utilize that for every property I tour. I’m just asking in case there are issues that didn’t make it to the database since not everyone who has an issue with where they are living is going to file a complaint. I’ve seen other threads where people will comment with specific addresses/apartment buildings that should be avoided.

Google the property management companies and read their reviews. Don’t just look at the ratings, because in general, people will basically only leave reviews for negative experiences when it comes to property management companies. Read the reviews specifically about what’s important to you, I.e. maintenance. Also, tour the apartments, ask to see the common areas, where the trash is, etc. You can tell a lot by how well maintained the building is, how clean the common areas are, are there mouse/bug traps, etc.

I have already done all this. 😅 I’m just wanting to get further input about the specific buildings from individuals on Reddit who’ve actually lived in them or have had experiences with them in general.

Fair enough!

I don’t know anything about these particular buildings, but what I can suggest is to look at the owner or property management company to see if you can find information about them generally. That might be the best information you can easily access. For example, 537 Hyde appears to be operated by Bayside Management. You can find information about that company (such as Yelp reviews) that may be noteworthy. In contrast, 1344 Jackson appears to be run by an individual property owner. That person may or may not have other multi-unit buildings in the city. It will generally be harder to find relevant information about an individual landlord as compared to a property management company. But there may be information out there. You can ask the Assessor’s office to confirm the legal name and address of the property owner. You could try using the SF Superior Court website to search the owner’s name (which may be an LLC or corporation, that’s why you need to confirm with the Assessor). You might find records from past lawsuits that could be enlightening.
