Black knee high boots are always in fashion for forever, not sure who is saying they aren't but honestly I don't care, wear what you want OP. I'm not loving the heel on these as I think they would be weird to walk in, they definitely don't look like kitten heels to me. I had a pair with kitten heels and I loved them but they were slightly too big so I gave them to a friend, regretted it ever since!

Thanks! Yeh I was trying to decide how I felt about the heel!

Honestly? I really don't like them. There's something strange about the way the leather is at the front of the ankle (it's most obvious to me in the first picture of the model wearing them) but my main issue is the heel. It looks improvised, like someone just got a random bit of whatever that is and stuck it on the boot. To me, it makes it look flimsy. I prefer [these ones](https://sol-sana.com.au/collections/womens-boots/products/sinna-knee-high-boot-black), though I would break my neck in them, so would need something more like [these](https://sol-sana.com.au/collections/womens-boots/products/huntley-tall-boot-tan) for myself, though I'd want them in all black. As for ankle boots, I will continue to wear them, "out" or not. I had knee high boots the last time they were in and I wore them twice. I find ankle boots are so much practical and wearable. I think it's silly to proclaim a basic shoe like an ankle boot as "out" anyway.

Oh that’s a good point! I guess I was looking for something a little bit different thank a plain block heel but was trying to decide if this was good or bad different!! Thanks for your input I hadn’t noticed they’d decided to use a seam at the front which is defs odd

somuchsong

Ha, I should put my glasses on, because I didn't see the seam! Probably what is making it look strange to me. And yeah, I get you. Hope you find something you love, these boots or otherwise!

I personally don’t like them. The square toe will date fast, if you care about that kind of thing. The heel looks very strange, kind of like an after thought. And they don’t have shape, they’re just a straight up tube. Actually in this image they look kinda like someone has tried to turn a pair of gumboots into heels. I dunno there just something about the finish and the shape and the position of the heel. https://preview.redd.it/ugucnijpx27d1.jpeg?width=1085&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f4fb36a48aaba1708eddeaca3fbe9be7b026f1a7 Having said that, what is important is if you love them and know you’ll wear them. I have heaps of clothes that aren’t on trend, but I like them so I wear them anyway.

Thank you! This thread has made it very easy for me to pass and keep looking!

Fluid-Hedgehog-2424

I saw the 'gumboot look' in them too! Very strange. Agree with your comments.

A knee high black leather boot will always be in style. However, these will date very quickly. I bought a pointed toe pair and I know a lot of people say pointed toe is dated or “just a trend” but I remember my mother wearing pointed toe in the early 2000s and I personally find it flattering. And I like square front shoes but something about these I don’t like. Maybe try round, pointed, or something in between the two?

Not crazy about the welt either and if I was going to spend that sort of money I’d go classic. Also, who cares if ankle boots are out? They said skinny jeans were out too and I’m 46 and you will pry them from my cold, dead hands 😂

kmary75

I personally don’t like the beige ‘welt’. I think when buying boots you have to ask whether you are looking for something classic that you can wear for many years to come or something trendy that you love for a year or two before moving on. Once you understand which category you fall into (neither is right nor wrong) then you can narrow your search a bit.

Going against the consensus here, I think these are gorgeous and have a really distinctive character to them that will set these apart from the more conventional/standard trend books you’re seeing around at the moment

Ok-Astronaut-7593

Aw thank you but I think I’ve been won over by the crowd! 🫣

tee_lee_bee

Ankle Boots are out? Noooooo There is something I really don’t like about these boots but can’t quite put my finger on it. But if you like them, get them.

Thank you! This thread has made it very easy for me to pass and keep looking! I think I’m going back to ankle boots 😅

flindersandtrim

I looked at your old post and couldn't see the overwhelming confrontation? Only saw one downvoted person who said ankle boots are way out. I say just get some ankle boots if that is what you want.  I think those boots are a reasonable price, so you'd have to be absolutely sure. Those heels look wobbly to me and not a huge fan of the horizontal seam.

Ok-Astronaut-7593

Oh sorry that’s just the hyperbole of how I speak! I just felt like I needed knee highs and these caught my attention but wasn’t sure if it was in a good or bad way and I’ve always been an ankle boots person! I’ve only just gotten my head around non skinny jeans hahaha just trying to stay relevant and not look dated!

bunnylightning

I like these apart from the heel. It just doesn’t sit right somehow. I think a similar pair with a standard stacked heel would be better, maybe less trendy now but won’t date as quickly as the offset heel.

Vegetable-Low-9981

To my eyes it looks like a gum boot on a stiletto heel.
