I use ubank saver for my emergency fund, nab for everything else. The idea that everything should be kept in the one place is outdated. It is all in the one place on your smartphone.

It's fine. It's an everyday account. Nothing hugely different to my cba, ing and boq everyday accounts. Your overthrowing it. Just do it. If you dont like it go back to the original or choose a new bank

I use ubank, and what I like is that you can send funds out of their saver account too! You don’t need to jump through the hoop and transfer to transaction and then send. And yeah transaction account is pretty good, no daily limit of $1k Osko payments like ING imposes.

This was a big win for me too when I realised you can setup direct debits and make payments from the saver account. Great feature imo.

Ubank had been fine for me. Sign up online in five minutes and try them for yourself.

I use it from time to time ( not my main card), no issues. The attached debit card does not incur extra fees for non Aussie transactions, which is nice.

I used to have UBank. I don’t know if it’s specific to online banking, but I was putting money in there to earn interest and build a deposit large enough for a home. Well I finally got there at 100k. I had to pay the deposit within a few days of the finance being approved but ubank wouldnt let me shift more than 20k at a time. i was talking to their customer service and they were adamant that i couldn't get a lump sum transferred. i was 1 day out of bombing out a purchase of house and land contract. it left such a foul taste i just haven't touched online banks ever since.

You were given the wrong info, daily payment limit can be increased by the contact centre, not sure why you were told otherwise

I really enjoy UBank; I have both the saver and transaction as well as the joint. Super easy to use, interface is basic, but well laid out. I have a referral code if you’d like it?

IMO you should separate your accounts. Your transaction account is exposed more frequently to "the outside" and separating it may mean less chance a bad actor gets into your savings
