Mostly accounts and payroll, possibly bookkeeper/finance officer if you're lucky. The good thing is a cert IV + diploma takes 12 months to complete and takes 12 month off a degree if you do that

Well… to be frank, if you’re gunning for entry level admin roles (I.e. Accounts payable and receivable, invoice processing), you don’t need the cert, probably 40-60K p.a. depending on company size. If you want to be a junior accountant (50-70K p.a.), you’ll need an accounting degree, which you could get while working (hopefully you get credits from your cert). Getting a CA/CPA would open up unlimited opportunities, which just depends on your work ethics and a bit of luck (up to CFO 180-300K p.a.).

I would think an accounts clerk (accounts payable/receivable) role or book keeping. Salary I guess depends on where you are located and what the salary in that area is.

I did mine as an apprenticeship with a small firm in Sydney. I found my current role through a friend. I would make ~$60k/year if I worked full-time. I should probably ask for a raise given changes in my responsibilities etc etc. I have just over two years experience at this point for reference.

I did my Diploma in accounting at Tafe then went to uni which was very beneficial for the credits I received so that is something to consider after Tafe if you are not keen to jump straight into work. I do think that the course is worthwhile, I did study it years ago so I don't know if the subjects are similar but I did find in my early years as a grad accountant I would refer back to what I had learnt at Tafe
