Let’s start with the easy stuff: Are you using 8” strips on 9” pans?

**Copy of original post in metric units** ^([more info](https://github.com/b3ting/reddit-metric-recipe)) Let’s start with the easy stuff: Are you using 20 cm strips on 23 cm pans?

What are your pan sizes? I use them with no problem on 8 and 9 inch pans. I need to use 2 on a 9x13 rectangular pan. I don’t know what you mean about a strap that goes under the other side. Mine are straight strips with Velcro on each end that you literally just wrap around the perimeter only. Edited to add [video](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ahFaRyf9R6g)

I do. A bit of a pain. They work. Better to just lower your oven temp by 25°F and bake a little longer. Nick Malgeri says that a cake recipe that creates a dome is an incorrect recipe.. it’s all down to the science of baking. Good luck.

25°F is equivalent to -3°C, which is 269K. --- ^(I'm a bot that converts temperature between two units humans can understand, then convert it to Kelvin for bots and physicists to understand)

Not used Wilton strips but have [Webake cake strips](https://webakemall.com/products/webake-silicone-bake-even-cake-strips-4-pieces?utm_source=copyToPasteBoard&utm_medium=product-links&utm_content=web),so far so good. It can be adjusted to your needs.
